11/30/05
According to OSP reports:
Jeffrey Hoskins of Athens, Mich., was cited for failure to maintain
control of a motor vehicle  Tuesday at 11:40 a.m. He was traveling
northbound on Route 31 and went off the right side of the road striking
a culvert and utility pole. Hoskins then over-turned on the right side
coming to a stop. He was transported by Liberty Township to Memorial
Hospital of Union County.
According to sheriff's reports:
Deputies responded to a residence in the 14000 block of Pleasant Ridge
Drive to investigate a report concerning the welfare of children Tuesday
at 10:50 p.m. A male juvenile was found groggy and unsteady on his feet
after he had allegedly taken prescription medication. As a precautionary
measure, he was transported by medic to Memorial Hospital of Union
County. Children's Services and the sheriff's office will be conducting
an investigation.
According to police reports:
A 15-year-old female was allegedly approached and offered a ride at 4:30
p.m. Tuesday on Grove Street between Fifth Street and Edgewood Drive.
The male driver of a gray box-style car asked the juvenile if she wanted
a ride. When she refused, he persistently asked. The juvenile walked
away and the car then drove away. The driver of the vehicle was a white
male in his early 20s, with shaggy brown hair down his neck, and was
smoking. If anyone has information concerning the suspect, contact the
Marysville Police Department.
Christmas lights were reported missing from the northside of the
Marysville Public Library, 231 S. Plum St. The theft occurred sometime
between Saturday and Sunday.
An evergreen tree was reportedly stolen from the yard of a residence in
the 300 block of Windmill Drive Tuesday at 7:47 a.m.
A car stereo was reported missing from a motor vehicle in the 300 block
of West Third Street sometime overnight Tuesday.
A change drawer insert was found from a register at the intersection of
Fourth and Main streets Tuesday at noon.
A mp3-player was reported missing from the 200 block of South Plum
Street Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.
 

11/23/05
According to police reports:
An observant neighbor made all the difference in an early morning arrest
today in the Mill Valley neighborhood.
Assistant Chief of Police Glenn Nicol said today that a call from an
individual who was witnessing a theft at 2:04 a.m. in the 1000 block of
Valley Drive made all the difference.
Christopher W. Taylor, 18, 1844 Deer Crossing Drive, has been charged
with complicity to theft and criminal trespassing. Derek U. McWilliams,
20, 20145 Coleman Brake Road, is being held on a parole violation.
Additional charges are pending.
Residents are also warned to check the validity of charities before
making donations.
Officers were called to 1000 N. Main St. when a group began selling
items that were allegedly to benefit a charity. They were unable to
verify and asked to leave. Assistant chief Nicol said most legitimate
charities have websites.
A business at 842 Delaware Ave. reported a suspicious  bad check and
refused to cash a government check for $1,500 that appeared suspicious.
A theft of drugs was reported from a residence in the 100 block of
Hemlock Drive. Medication from a prescription bottle were allegedly
removed within the past 10 days.
Officers responded to a domestic incident today at 3:41 a.m. in the 200
block of Greenwood Blvd. No charges were filed. The incident allegedly
involved a boyfriend and girlfriend.
According to sheriff reports:
Brandi Nicole Kougher, 20, of Mount Victory has been charged with theft
without consent after allegedly taking a diamond ring valued at $250 and
pawning it at a Marion location. The ring was taken from sometime
between May 17 and June 17 from the 18000 block of Boundary Road.
Two table saws were reportedly were taken from a construction site in
the 5000 block of Gordon Way at Tartan Fields Tuesday. The report was
filed 5:11 p.m. The saws are valued at $1,500.
 

11/22/05
According to police reports:
A 15-year-old Marysville male was charged with possession of marijuana
and drug paraphernalia today at 2:53 a.m. at Chestnut and 10th streets.
Dana L. Koch, 33, of 276 Marysville Mobile Home Park was arrested for
operating a vehicle intoxicated today at 2:24 a.m. after a traffic stop
on Third Street.
Sunday at 11:34 p.m. a resident in the 400 block of Bridgewater Drive
witnessed a man running from a vehicle in his driveway. The suspect had
smashed the car window and attempted to steal a stereo. The suspect fled
the area and got in a Dodge Stratus and drove away.
Attempted breaking and entering was reported to have occurred Saturday
night at a church in the 600 block of Raymond Road. A window had been
broken to gain entry.
Aaron Cohagen, 22, of 732 Kenny Lane was charged with possession of
marijuana and drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop on Milford Avenue
at Kenny Lane Sunday at 3:16 a.m.
Tina M. Woods, 30, of Columbus was arrested for disorderly conduct
Saturday at 3:01 a.m. Her friend had tried to keep her from driving
while intoxicated and Woods became physically belligerent.
George H. Nash, 36, of Barresville was arrested on an outstanding
warrant out of Belmont County Saturday evening. A resident on Quail
Hollow Drive called to report that a van was parked in the driveway of
the home. He was later found parked in the K-Mart parking lot. Nash was
also cited for vehicle trespassing.
Three people were arrested for disorderly conduct after a fight Saturday
at 9:16 p.m. in the 600 block of Meadows Drive. Robert E. Rummell, 19,
of 103 Taylor Drive; Jason E. Bourdo, 30, of 710 Meadows Drive; and
Peggy L. Ohara, 53, of Zainesfield were all charged.
Prescription medication was reported stolen from a residence in the 700
block of Meadows Drive Saturday night.
A mirror was reported damaged during a fight at a bar in the 100 block
of North main Street Friday at 11:45 p.m.
Friday a resident in the 1300 block of Pepper Lane reported that an
unknown person shot the window of his vehicle several times with a BB
gun.
A resident in the 700 block of South Plum Street reported that an
unknown person had charged items to her bank account over the Internet
Friday at 4 p.m.
A door was discovered damaged in the 100 block of North Main Street
Friday at 2 p.m..
According to sheriff's reports:
A Richwood Police officer was reportedly injured after an incident on
South Franklin Street Friday at 11:44 p.m. At that time Richwood
officers Eric Nicholson and Jamie Swoops responded to 308 South Franklin
Street for a domestic violence report.
As a result, Steven Juzwiak, 22, of 308 S. Franklin St. was arrested for
operating a vehicle intoxicated, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest,
possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia, failure to control his
vehicle, open container of alcohol, and possible charges for aggravated
assault and leaving the scene of an accident. Previously police learned
a man had crashed his vehicle into the yard of a residence on South
Pearl Street at Herbert Street.
The driver left the scene and went to his home on South Franklin Street.
On the scene police found the suspect and attempted to arrest him, but
he ran from officers. Police pursued and ended up struggling with the
man. During the struggle they all fell to the ground and officer
Nicholson broke his ankle in a compound fracture. The officers called
for assistance and a medic. At that point Union County Sheriff's
deputies, and other Richwood officers arrived on the scene and
apprehended the suspect with the use of mace.
Roberta Moore, 43, of 11408 U.S. 36, lot 17 was arrested for disorderly
conduct after she was found highly intoxicated on the ground with no
shoes or socks on and had been vomitted Friday at 7:06 p.m. outside of
her home.
Sheriff's deputies assisted Marysville Police in a search of the
Marysville High School parking lot for drugs Friday at 10:30 a.m.
Charges are pending against a 17-year-old male after marijuana was found
in his vehicle.
Erin Barner, 20, of 538 E. Fifth St. was charged with operating a
vehicle intoxicated and high blood alcohol concentration, possession of
marijuana and drug paraphernalia, driving outside of marked lanes and
underage consumption of alcohol. Barner was observed weaving in lanes of
traffic on London Avenue Saturday at 2:46 a.m. She was stopped at
Greenwood Boulevard and police discovered she was intoxicated. She
claimed to be the designated driver.
A fight at the Central Ohio Youth Center on Route 4 is being
investigated for possible charges after a 16-year-old male assaulted a
17-year-old male during a fight Saturday.
Domestic violence and menacing charges are pending against a 14-year-old
male after he rammed a trash can into his stepmother's legs on Thursday
and then on Sunday wrote menacing messages after the father assigned him
chores.
According to OSP reports:
G. Michelle Gibson, 33, of Mechanicsburg was charged with operating a
vehicle intoxicated after a traffic stop on County Road 57 in Milford
Center Saturday at 2:29 a.m.
Benjamin Hughes, 23, of Urbana was arrested for failure to control his
vehicle and operating a vehicle intoxicated after a crash Saturday at
8:52 p.m. Hughes was westbound on Route 161 and lost control, going off
the right side of the road, striking a fence and went through a field.
The car stopped in a ditch. Hughes was injured and transported by Union
Township medics to Memorial Hospital of Union County.
Caleb Z. Peck, 17, of Richwood was injured in a crash Friday at 7:26
a.m. in Claibourne Township. Peck was headed westbound on County Road
274 when he lost control, going off the left side of the road. The car
struck a ditch and rolled two times before stopping upright. Northern
Union medics transported Peck to Memorial Hospital of Union County.
 

11/18/05
According to police reports:
A resident in the 500 block of Mulberry Street reported that a known
person stole cash from her purse at her home sometime on Thursday. The
incident is being investigated.
A stereo was reported stolen from an unlocked car parked in the 1000
block of Delaware Avenue Thursday at 3:50 p.m.
According to sheriff's reports:
The owner of a vehicle placed in impound reported that $900 in stereo
equipment had been stolen out of the car sometime between Oct. 23 and
Thursday. The items could have been stolen either at an impound lot on
Marriott Street in Richwood or another location in Columbus. The
incident is under investigation.
Benjamin Brown, 27, of Marion was arrested today at 3:31 a.m. for
operating a vehicle intoxicated after a traffic stop on Route 739.
Richard Maier, 40, of Bellefontaine was arrested for operating a vehicle
intoxicated Thursday afternoon. Maier was inside the Union County
Probate Court and staff reported he smelled strongly of alcohol.
Deputies gave him the breathalyzer and discovered he was over the legal
limit. Maier admitted he had driven to the courthouse and deputies
informed him to have someone pick him up when he left. Maier later
proceeded to drive his car and was stopped at Maple and Eighth street
and charged.
According to OSP reports:
Details on a one-car crash with three injuries are expected to be
completed later in the day today. At 7:26 a.m. a car with three male
juveniles was crashed and rolled over on Mulvaine Road at Route 37. All
three were injured and transported to Memorial Hospital of Union County.

11/15/05
According to police reports:
Officers recovered a woman's wallet on East Fifth Street during patrol
on Monday. Attempts are being made to find the owner.
Police stopped a 45-year-old Marysville woman for driving under
suspension Monday at 5:11 p.m. in the 400 block of North Main Street.
Charges are pending laboratory results on possible illegal drugs and
paraphernalia found in her purse.

According to police reports:
Police investigated a bar on East Fifth Street Thursday in cooperation
with the Ohio Department of Public Safety. A search warrant was used at
6 p.m. for the investigation on possible liquor violations. No charges
were filed.
Prescription medication was reported stolen from a residence in the 600
block of Allenby Drive Thursday at 2 p.m.
Judith Bowland, 37, of 251 W. Eighth St. was charged with operating a
vehicle intoxicated after a traffic stop today at 5:32 a.m. at Sixth and
Court streets.
Thomas Kennealy, 21, of 636 Allenby Drive was charged with operating a
vehicle intoxicated Thursday at 11:44 p.m. after a traffic stop on Plum
Street.
Eric Mills, 18, 163 Riverwind Dr. was charged with contributing to the
delinquency of a minor Thursday at 4:37 p.m., while police investigated
a residence in the 400 block of Allenby Drive for a possible burglary.
The possible theft of food stamps is being investigated after a report
came Thursday from a resident in the 200 block of West Ninth Street.
The Department of Job and Family Services reported Thursday at 9:58 a.m.
the possible sexual abuse of an 8-year-old female who was allegedly
sexually abused by an adult male.
Vandalism was reported Thursday at 9:28 a.m. after it was discovered
unknown suspects damaged two Port-O-Johns, two tree identification
plaques and boxes containing sanitation bags at the Schwartzkopf Park
and Millcreek trails.
The 16-year-old male who was reported missing from a home in the 600
block of Allenby Drive was found Thursday at 6:25 p.m. He was
transported to the Central Ohio Youth Center for probation violations.

According to police reports:
The driver side door of a vehicle was keyed Tuesday night in the 200
block of Greenwood Boulevard.
Silver coins and a gold chain were stolen from a residence in the 200
block of West Ninth Street  on Monday at 7:11 p.m.
Wednesday at 9 p.m. a parent in the 600 block of Allenby Drive reported
her 16-year-old son had run away from home.
Brandie Nichols, 25, of 925 W. Fifth St. was arrested on a failure to
appear in court after she was stopped for a traffic incident on Route 4
Wednesday at 9:30 p.m.
Billy J. Criner, 25, of Bellefontaine was charged with obstructing
official business after providing false information during a traffic
stop on North Main Street Wednesday at 5:47 p.m.
A resident in the 100 block of Sumac Drive reported he received a
counterfeit U.S. Postal Service money order in the mail for a car he was
selling. The money order came in the mail on Tuesday and was discovered
to be invalid when he attempted to cash it.
According to sheriff's reports:
Diane C. Hays, 48, of 13891 U.S. 36 was charged with operating a vehicle
intoxicated, driving outside of marked lanes, and speeding Wednesday at
4:37 a.m. after a traffic stop on Watkins Road.
A $500 generator was stolen from the garage of a residence in the 13000
block of Clark Drive sometime between Oct. 2 and Oct. 20.
According to OSP reports:
Troopers are investigating a crash that resulted in a possible injury
that occurred Wednesday before 10 p.m. A passing driver reported a
crashed vehicle in the roadway on Route 739, east of Essex. The driver
of a 1989 Isuzu pickup truck was headed northeast on Route 739 when the
vehicle went off the left side of the roadway, striking a tree and
ending up slightly on the road. No driver was found, although signs of
injuries were apparent. The crash is currently under investigation.

 

11/9/05
According to police reports:
Deanna Shirk, 43, of 220 Greenwood Blvd. was arrested for operating a
vehicle intoxicated and failure to leave assured clear distance ahead
after a two-car crash in Marysville Tuesday at 7:39 p.m. Driver Brenda
Johnson, 42, of Richwood was reportedly headed eastbound in the 300
block of West Fifth Street, when she stopped to make a left hand turn
into a private drive. Shirk was traveling behind Johnson and failed to
stop in time, striking the rear of the vehicle.
Possible charges are in review after two adult females were involved in
a physical dispute Tuesday at 5:16 p.m. in the 500 block of East 10th
Street.
Prescription medication was reported stolen from a residence in the 700
block of South Walnut Street Tuesday at 3:10 p.m.
According to sheriff's reports:
Vandalism was reported Monday in the 10000 block of Ketch Road after a
storm door was found damaged.
The contractor of a building site in the 6500 block of Lockhart Lane
reported a pre-fabricated fireplace, valued at $2,800, was stolen
sometime over the weekend.
Charges are pending against two 16-year-old males after they were caught
leaving the Fairbanks school to smoke marijuana outside Tuesday at 11:50
a.m. in the 11000 block of Route 38. One of the males was already on
probation.
A resident discovered several firearm rounds in her yard Tuesday at 4:04
p.m. in the 22000 block of Northwest Parkway.
The Union County Juvenile Court office reported vandalism after an irate
woman damaged a door handle to the office Tuesday at 4:39 p.m. in the
200 block of West Fifth Street.
Robert T. Berry, 30, of 9366 Crottinger Road was arrested for operating
a vehicle intoxicated today at 3:57 a.m. after he was cited for speeding
on Crottinger Road at U.S. 42.

According to police reports:
A door was forced open at a residence in the 400 block of Allenby Drive
Sunday at 6:30 a.m. Nothing was reported stolen from inside.
Travis Gause, 36, of Huntsville was charged with possession of drug
paraphernalia after a traffic stop on U.S. 33 at Route 4 Saturday at
7:30 p.m. Gause was the passenger in a vehicle and was found to be in
possession of a crack pipe with crack residue inside.
Breaking and entering was reported to have occurred Friday night at the
Union County Airport in the 700 block of Clymer Road. A total of about
$1,500 in cash was taken from a safe inside the office.
A resident reported his wallet was stolen from the bar area of a
restaurant in the 16000 block of Square Drive Friday night.
Speakers and DVDs were stolen from inside a residence sometime over the
past month in the 200 block of North Court Street.
Tools, tape cassettes, a wallet, CDs and a stereo were stolen from
inside a vehicle parked in the 700 block of Kenny Lane Thursday night.
A stereo was stolen from another vehicle parked in the same area that
same night.
Several tires were slashed on a vehicle parked in the 700 block of Quail
Hollow Drive on Friday.
A telecommunications scam was reported by a female resident in the 900
block of Milford Avenue Friday at 2 p.m. The caller requested several
hundred dollars be secured in order for the woman to claim her winnings
from a lottery.
The Department of Human Services is investigating a report of a
13-year-old male who allegedly had a sexual relationship with an adult
female in the Great Falls, MON. area more than a year ago.
A vehicle was keyed sometime over Friday night in the 800 block of
Amrine Mill Road.
Richard L. Wolford, 49, of 332 W. Seventh St. was charged with operating
a vehicle intoxicated and speeding after a traffic stop on Milford
Avenue at Windmill Drive Sunday at 8:25 p.m.
Rodney Sealey, Jr., 20, of 836 Collins Ave. was charged with underage
consumption of alcohol after a report came in on an intoxicated male on
West Ninth Street Sunday at 3:48 a.m.
Richard D. Ogden, 30, of 19080 Barker Road was arrested on a warrant for
failure to appear in court for nonsupport Sunday at 2:06 a.m. at a bar
on North Main Street in Marysville.
Lawrence Reaven, 44, of 815 Watkins Glen Blvd. was charged with
operating a vehicle intoxicated and driving outside of marked lanes
Sunday at 2:03 a.m. on Cherry Street at Fifth Street.
Christopher L. Rapp, 28, of 231 Ash St. was charged with vandalism and
aggravated menacing after he was arrested on an outstanding warrant for
failure to appear in court. Union County sheriff's deputies originally
found Rapp in the 200 block of South Court Street Sunday at 12:24 a.m.
After he was in custody, Rapp began hitting his head on the windows of
the police cruiser and then kicked out the back window of the vehicle.
He was reportedly intoxicated and became belligerent with police,
threatening to kill officers.
Charges are pending against a 16-year-old male from the 400 block of
Allenby Drive for underage consumption of alcohol after he was
reportedly intoxicated and unruly near his home during the weekend.
Adam Haggy, 27, of 690 Milford Ave. was charged with operating a vehicle
intoxicated Friday at 9:13 p.m. after a traffic stop on U.S. . 33 at
Scottslawn Road. He was also cited for running a stop sign, driving
under suspension, and following too close to another vehicle.
According to sheriff's reports:
Three mailboxes were vandalized Friday night in the 13000 block of
Leeper Perkins Road.
Friday at 5 p.m. a purse was reported stolen in the 21000 block of
Liberty West Road.
Ryan L. Edwards, 39, of North Lewisburg was arrested for operating a
vehicle intoxicated and driving outside of marked lanes after a traffic
stop Saturday at 2:42 a.m. on Middleburg Plain City Road at Bishop Road.

Northern Union County Fire District medics responded to the 30000 block
of Alder Road in Claibourne Township for a report of a man shot in the
face Saturday at 5:27 p.m. Reportedly three males were target shooting.
A 20-year-old male shot a round and a fragment ricochet and grazed his
cheek. The man suffered minor injuries and was transported by medics to
Marion general Hospital.
An air compressor and gas powered saw were stolen from a  residence in
the 9000 block of Tartan Fields Drive Saturday at 6:20 p.m. after a
trailer was forcibly entered.
A maroon and brown 1988 Honda Accord was reported stolen Saturday from
Rose Street in magnetic Springs. The car had two flat tires when taken.
According to OSP reports:
Dustin Jones, 25, of Canal Winchester was charged with operating a
vehicle intoxicated and failure to control; his vehicle after crashing
Sunday at 5 a.m. on Route 161 in Union Township. Jones was westbound on
Route 161 when he lost control and went off the right side of the road,
striking a ditch and stopping on a telephone pole.
Abbigaile L. Pheifer, 23, of 17912 Route 347 was injured in a crash
Thursday at 6:45 a.m. Pheifer was southbound on Route 4 in Leesburg
Township, when a deer ran into the roadway, colliding with her vehicle.
She suffered minor injuries and transported herself for treatment at
Marysville Primary Care
 

11/4/05
According to police reports:
Charles Billing, 22, and Andrew Billing, 21, both of 460 Windmill Drive
were charged with obstructing official police business and falsification
today at 1 a.m. An officer saw two males walking down Windmill Drive and
one appeared to be a juvenile out after curfew. When asked for their IDs
both provided false information. Later their correct information was
discovered and Andrew Billing had outstanding warrants for his arrest
out of Champaign and Madison counties for probation violations.
Cash and a diamond ring were stolen from a residence after an unknown
person forced entry into the home in the 600 block of Milcrest Drive
Thursday at about 12 p.m.
A CD player and speakers were stolen from a motor vehicle parked in the
1100 block of Coventry Way Thursday.
A bracelet reported stolen nine months ago from the 100 block of Taylor
Avenue was located in a pawn shop Thursday at 2 p.m.
According to sheriff's reports:
The theft of a Chevy Impala and contents inside, valued at $24,550, was
stolen from property in the 20000 block of Orchard Road Thursday at 6
a.m. The vehicle was later found abandoned in Milford Center.
A John Deere riding lawn mower, valued at $900, was stolen from a garage
in the 27000 block of Lunda Road Thursday at 4:20 p.m.
According to OSP reports:
Melissa Hilton, 23, of Gahanna was arrested for operating a vehicle
intoxicated today at 2:59 a.m. after a traffic stop on U.S. 33, east of
Route 42.
 

11/2/05
According to police reports:
Criminal damaging charges are pending against a 40-year-old man from
Pennsylvania after an incident at a bar in the 200 block of East Fifth
Street today at 12:30 a.m. Three people were reportedly kicked out of
the establishment for their behavior and the suspect allegedly damaged
the front window.
Police are investigating the theft of a laptop computer, valued at $700,
from Wal-Mart on U.S. 36 East Monday at 6 p.m.
According to sheriff's reports:
Tuesday at 10:12 a.m. a resident in the 16000 block of Middleburg Plain
City Road reported that five of his cattle died of the same symptoms.
Contamination of feed is suspected and is currently under investigation.
The incident resulted in a $10,000 loss.
A business in the 8000 block of Memorial Drive was reportedly entered by
forced Tuesday at 11:53 a.m. Suspects stole four 12-pound rolls of
copper coils.
Deputies are giving a resident until Friday to pay the $535 owed to a
business in the 8000 block of Memorial Drive before felony charges will
be filed. The person purchased something with a check a year ago and has
failed to pay. It was reported Tuesday at 12:33 p.m.

According to police reports:
A resident in the 200 block of Magnolia Drive reported a window was
scratched by an unknown person Monday night.
Children's Hospital in Columbus reported that a 12-year-old female
patient receiving care for an unrelated cause, is claiming she was
abused by a family member in the Marysville area sometime last year.
A 31-year-old male reported he was assaulted by an unknown male behind a
bar in the 100 block of North Main Street Sunday between 1:30 and 2 a.m.

According to sheriff's reports:
Monday at 6:30 p.m. a home in the 18000 block of Water Street was
discovered ransacked. A stereo and prescription medication were stolen.
