8/31/06
According to police reports:
Four Marysville High School students, three male
15 year olds and one
male 16 year old, were charged with drug abuse after
they were found in
possession of marijuana Tuesday on school grounds. One of
the
15-year-old students charged also had possession of an
illegal
prescription medication. The students were cited between 9 and 11
a.m.
A resident in the 400 block of Timberview Drive reportedly
received
pornographic pictures in the mail Wednesday morning, sent by an
unknown
person who enclosed the material in a handwritten envelope.
Reports
indicate residents in Union and Franklin counties have also
received
similar pornographic material in their mail.
Several DVDs were
stolen from a business in the 500 block of Coleman's
Crossing Boulevard
Wednesday at 9:10 a.m. Surveillance video shows two
male suspects putting the
DVDs in a plastic tote and leaving the
business through an emergency exit.
The theft is under investigation.
A resident reported Wednesday at around
4:30 p.m. that a male
acquaintance made unauthorized credit card charges on
an account for Internet pornography.
Joseph A. Miller, 35, of 140 Hemlock
Drive, was arrested twice, on
Wednesday night and Thursday morning. At 10:33
p.m. Miller was charged
with disorderly conduct while intoxicated after he
knocked on the door
of a residence in the 500 block of West Third Street
after he was told
to leave several times. Then at 12:20 a.m. Miller was
charged with
persistent disorderly conduct, criminal trespassing and
resisting arrest
after he walked into an apartment in the 200 block of
Greenwood
Boulevard. Robert L. Wilson, 44, of 170 Pearse Drive apt. A,
was
arrested and charged with criminal damaging after he was arguing with
a
female at a residence in the 100 block of North Main Street and
slashed
the driver side tire of her vehicle Thursday at 2:06 a.m.
Gregory
W. Hamilton, 37, of Columbus, was arrested on an outstanding
Marysville
warrant at U.S. 33 at Avery Road Wednesday at 5:02 a.m.
According to
sheriff's reports:
A resident reported someone threw soda pop on the front
door of the home
in the 9000 block of Maxwell Way the night of Aug.
20.
Unruly charges are pending against a 16-year-old female from
Pleasant
Street in Milford Center. The girl had run away from home and
was
reportedly staying in Bellefontaine with her uncle Aug. 28.
A total of
$250 was reported stolen from a bank account after a resident
in the 20000
block of Route 245 discovered his ATM card was stolen Wednesday.

One person was injured in a two-car crash Wednesday at 4:07
p.m.
Virginia Artis, 60, of West Mansfield was traveling northwest on
Raymond
Road when she slowed for an uneven railroad crossing at Liberty
West
Road. Traveling behind her was driver Jason Brown, 20, of Raymond,
who
failed to stop in time and crashed into the rear end of her car.
The
drivers were not injured, although Artis' passenger, Stanley Artis,
40,
of Raymond suffered minor visible injuries and was transported medics
to
Memorial Hospital of Union County.

According to police reports:
A gray bike was recovered along Amrine Mill Road
Tuesday at 8:30 a.m.
An unauthorized transaction was charged to a patron's
charge card which
had been left at a business in the 800 block of Coleman's
Crossing Tuesday at 11:58 a.m.
An unknown person entered into a residence
in the 100 block of Birch
Drive through an open door sometime around Aug. 20.
A stove and washer
were reportedly stolen. The report was received Tuesday at
3:10 p.m.
A female resident in the 100 block of Willow Drive was
reportedly
involved in a verbal dispute with her sister's live-in boyfriend.
The
resident reported that the boyfriend then put his head through a
glass
window. No charges. The report was received Tuesday at 3:50
p.m.
Nichole R. Miller, 30, of 640 W. Third St., was arrested on
an
outstanding warrant from Marysville Municipal Court following a
domestic
violence situation at the residence. The report was filed Tuesday
at 4:32 p.m.
James M. Miller, 36, of 640 W. Third St., was arrested and
charged with
domestic violence following a physical altercation with his wife
and
9-year-old son. The report was filed Tuesday at 4:32 p.m.
Domestic
violence charges are pending against Bruce D. Slane, 42, of 623
London Ave.
He was reportedly involved in a physical altercation with
his wife at the
residence. A warrant was issued. The report was filed Tuesday at 8:50
p.m.
Joshua E. Blinn, 28, of 122 S. Walnut St. Apt. C, and Kevin L.
Hamilton
Jr., 26, of 122 S. Walnut St. Apt. A, were both arrested and
charged
with disorderly conduct. They were reportedly found in the
street
fighting. The report was filed today at 2:43 a.m.
According to
sheriff's reports:
Monday at 6:29 p.m. it was reported that four juvenile
females, ages 16,
15, 14 and 13 were involved in a fight on Mill Street near
State Street
in Milford Center. Charges are pending for disorderly conduct
against all suspects involved.
A possible forced entry to a home in the
10000 block of Jerome Road was
reported to have occurred Aug. 23. Damages
were found on the garage,
although no entry was made.
Monday at 10:13 a.m.
a breaking and entering report was filed regarding
a Dunn Court home under
construction in Dublin, which was broken into
sometime over the weekend. The
insides were vandalized and items were stolen.
A house under construction
on Tartan Fields Drive was broken into Sunday
night and a power saw and air
compressor were stolen.

According to police reports:
Numerous family members were cited for
disorderly conduct, after a fight
in the 200 block of Dogwood Drive Monday at
7:30 p.m. Arrested were
Johnny R. Bailey, 36; Richard M. Bailey, 18; and
Margaret A. Bailey, 38,
all of 808 Lakeview Drive. Also charged with
disorderly conduct was
Robert B. Collins, 38, of 548 N. Main St.
Stacey L.
Mitchell, 24, of 855 W. Third St. and a 16-year-old Marysville
male were
arrested for assault during the same fight.
The break-in of a garage in the
700 block of West Ninth Street resulted
in the theft of a computer and a
compound bow weapon. The theft was
discovered and reported to police Monday
at 9 a.m.
Joseph F. Miller, 38, of 120 Mulberry St. was arrested on an
outstanding
warrant out of Marysville Municipal Court Monday at 12:38
p.m.
A business in the 800 block of Delaware Avenue reported Monday at
3:10
p.m. that a suspect had attempted to cash a fraudulent gift
check.
According to sheriff's reports:
A business owner in the 7000 block
of Industrial Parkway reported Monday
at 1:16 p.m. that a trailer loaded with
custom building materials,
valued at approximately $3,000, was stolen
overnight.
Monday at 7:24 p.m. a resident in the 27000 block of Claibourne
Road
reported old farm equipment had been stolen from his property
sometime last week.

According to police reports:
A 12-year-old female was reportedly bitten by a
dog, while she was
riding her bike in the area of Chestnut and Sixth streets
Friday at 6
p.m. Charges are pending against the dog's owner.
Police plan
to destroy drug paraphernalia that was found Friday at 6:32
p.m. in the 400
block of Windmill Drive.
Michael Grubb, 36, of East Sixth Street was arrested
for driving under
suspension and possession of drug paraphernalia after a
traffic s top
Friday at 7:59 p.m. on Delaware Avenue.
Richard T. Quinn,
45, of Cleveland was arrested on an outstanding
warrant out of Cuyahoga
County after a traffic s top on U.S. 33 Friday at 10:02 p.m.
A golf course
in the 1100 block of London Avenue reported Saturday
morning that there was
considerable damage to the grounds and several
golf carts that occurred after
hours.
Jennifer Stebbing, 36, of North Main Street was arrested for
domestic
violence after her involvement in a physical altercation with one
of
her daughters. During the fight, her 15-year-old daughter was
arrested
for striking her sister with a plastic rake Saturday at 5:53 p.m.
at their home.
Samuel M. Goheen, 20, of Mechanicsburg and Glen A.
Burchfield, 22, whose
address was not listed, were charged with disorderly
conduct after a
fight in the 700 block of North Maple Street Sunday at 12:31
a.m. During
their arrest, Andrea L. Burchfield, 24, of North Maple Street
was
arrested for obstructing official police business.
Jody R. Marple, 37,
of Bonnie Court was arrested for operating a vehicle
intoxicated on U.S. 33
Sunday at 2:48 a.m.
Two 17-year-old males were arrested at Lewis Park for
violating curfew Sunday at 2:56 a.m.
The rear window of a car was reported
to be damaged Saturday night in
the 1300 block of Valley Drive.
According
to sheriff's reports:
Jason C. White, 29, of Michigan was arrested Sunday at
9:32 p.m. for
obstructing official police business after he was observed
driving his
van without headlights behind a business on Industrial Parkway.
White
had gone into a pond, which police suspected he did to
hide.
Wednesday at around 1 or 2 p.m. two men applied for a job at a
business
in the 20000 block of Route 4. The two are suspected of filling
out
applications, then allegedly stealing a stack of applications from
other
people who were after the job.
Friday morning a total of $5,000 in
hand tools were stolen from a garage
in the 13000 block of U.S. 36.
A
veterinarian doctor reported he received a bad check for $620 in
payment for
treating an animal in the 23000 block of Sandusky Road
Friday. The check
later bounced.
Deputies are investigating a report of racially motivated
menacing that
occurred Aug. 21 in the 9000 block of Camarillo Circle. Four
male
suspects in a white pick up truck drove by a property making
racial
comments, while two men in the back of the truck held a large
banner
which also held racist comments.
A resident reported that a man who
claimed to be from the local electric
company, drove a brown car up to the
residence on Thursday in the 11000
block of Route 38. The man said he wanted
to check the meter of the
residence. The homeowner did not trust the person
and called the
electric company, who reported they did not have an employee
who matched the description.
A resident reported on Sunday morning that
overnight someone had stuck
cheese all over her car, which was parked in the
driver way of the home
in the 13000 block of U.S. 36.

Renata M. Coe, 26, of 690 Milford Ave.; Robert
W. Durst Sr., 49, of 178

between 6:30 and 7:30 a.m. on outstanding warrants out of
Marysville Wednesday.
A car stereo was stolen from a car parked in the 500
block of Ash Street
sometime over Wednesday night or Thursday morning.
A
business in the 16000 block of Square Drive was broken into Wednesday
night.
A total of six bottles of liquor were taken.
Another business in the 400
block of Allenby Drive was broken into
sometime over Wednesday night. The
incident is under investigation.
A business in the 400 block of Allenby Drive
was broken into Wednesday night and cash was stolen.
The rear window of a
business in the 400 block of Allenby Drive was broken out.
A Polaroid LCD
TV was stolen from a business in the 500 block of Coleman's Crossing
Wednesday.
A resident in the 500 block of Millwood Boulevard reported the
theft of
$190 from a Pay Pal account Wednesday at 7:55 p.m.

Wednesday at 5:48 a.m. the Henry County
Sheriff's office reported a
48-year old man suffering from a mental illness
who was dropped off at a
gas station in the 1300 block of West Fifth
Street.
The man was held for his safety until arrangements could be made
to
transport him to family members near Chillicothe.
A 13-year-old male
and a 15-year-old male were arrested and charged with
disorderly conduct
after they were fighting at Marysville High School Wednesday at 7:50
a.m.
A 17 year old male was arrested and charged with a juvenile
tobacco
violation at Marysville High School Wednesday at 10:55
a.m.
Prescription medication was reportedly misplaced sometime around Aug.

by a resident in the 100 block of Hemlock Drive, as reported
Wednesday at 2:03 p.m.
A 20-inch boy's Schwinn bicycle was reported stolen
from the 70 block of
Red Pine Drive sometime between Aug. 9 and
Wednesday.
A resident in the 700 block of Milcrest Drive reported her
husband
missing. He was last seen Wednesday at 7 am.

One person suffered minor visible injuries in a motorcycle
crash
Wednesday at 6:39 p.m. Dustin H. Temple, 25, of Richwood was
headed
southeast on Zook Road in Claibourne Township, when a dog ran into
his
path. Swerving to avoid the animal, Temple overturned his bike onto
the roadway.
Although he suffered injuries to his arms and ankle, he was
not transported by medics for care.

According to police reports:
Sporting, camping equipment, cash, music tapes
and a handicap permit
were stolen from an unlocked car in the 100 block of
Second Street
sometime between midnight and 5:20 a.m. Tuesday.
Several
bags of groceries were stolen from a kitchen of a home in the
300 block of
South Plum Street Tuesday at around 2 a.m.
An unknown person removed the air
conditioning unit and may have entered
a bedroom window in the 100 block of
Second Street early Tuesday morning.
On Tuesday a business in the 900
block of London Avenue reported the
alleged sexual abuse of an 8-year-old
male by a 13-year-old female to
have occurred on Aug. 18.
Two cases
containing approximately 20 CDs each were stolen between
Sunday and Tuesday
from a vehicle parked on the lot of a business in the
700 block of Clymer
Road.

outstanding warrant in the 100 block of North Main Street Tuesday
at 7:38 p.m.
Two females were involved in a dispute in the 100 block of
Taylor Avenue
Tuesday at 10:14 p.m. One allegedly kicked and damaged a
bathroom door.
Two unknown male subjects charged $106.41 in food and
alcoholic
beverages at a business in the 1000 block of Delaware Avenue and
left
without paying Tuesday at 11:09 p.m.

One person was injured
in a two-car crash today at 1:25 a.m. Driver
Kateri Ratuff, 24, of 326
Gallery Drive was driving eastbound on Honda
Parkway, west of Northwest
Parkway when she slowed for traffic. Driver
Brian Levan, 26, of Westerville
was driving behind Ratuff and did not
stop in time, crashing into the rear
end of her car. Ratuff suffered
minor visible injuries and was transported by
Allen Township medics to
Memorial Hospital of Union County for care. Levan
was cited for failure
to leave assured clear distance ahead.
8/22/06
According to sheriff's reports:
Deputies arrested Christopher Kerr, 24, of
Columbus, Sunday at 3:20 a.m.
for two counts of speeding, expired
registration, reckless operation of
a vehicle, having a smoked back license
plate cover and not having a
front license plate. A deputy initially used
radar to clock a yellow
Mustang driving at 126 mph, while heading east on
U.S. 33 at Scottslawn
Road. The car disappeared, but was later seen on
Watkins Road still
speeding. The car was then reported to be on Delaware
Avenue and it was
determined the driver had parked at a nearby business and
walked to stay
at a hotel in town. Kerr was later found in the lobby of a
hotel and arrested.
Possible burglary was reported to have occurred
Thursday in the 12000
block of Hinton Mill Road. The resident discovered a
window air
conditioning unit was pushed in for someone to gain entry. A total
of $5,000 in jewelry was taken.
A construction crew working at a home in
the 9000 block of Tartan Fields
Drive reported on Monday the loss of around
$2,000 in tools and damages,
after the home had been broken into twice in the
past week.
Possible burglary was reported at a Pleasant Street home in
Milford
Center Monday at 7:12 p.m. The front door was found open and the
back
door was wide open as well. It was discovered a total of $139 in
coins were stolen.

after a fight with a man at her home Monday at 4:46 p.m.

it was reported that the tires on a vehicle were
tampered with in the 200

Monday at 2:39 p.m. a resident reported her car was
broken into and cash
was taken in the 200 block of Windsor Court.
The roof
of a car was reportedly damaged while parked at a business in
the 15000 block
of U.S. 36 east on Monday.
Possible child endangering was reported Monday at
6:18 p.m. after a
4-year-old male was found outside unattended in the 600
block of Milford
Avenue. The parents were located and notified.

to OSP reports:
One person was injured in a two-car accident on Monday at 7
a.m. Driver
Stacey Baker, 46, of Hilliard was driving a Buick Lasabre
northbound on
Industrial Parkway. At the same time, second driver Shane
McNichols, 24,
of Laurelville, was headed east on Route 161. McNichols
reportedly ran
the red light and collided into the driver side door of
Baker's vehicle.
She was injured in the collision and transported by Jerome
Township
medics to Riverside Hospital of Columbus.
Brent McKitrick, 41, of
11255 Bell Road was arrested today at 12:06 a.m.
after a traffic stop on U.S.
33 in Jerome Township for operating a
vehicle intoxicated.
8/21/06
According to sheriff's reports:
An attempted abduction was reported Friday at
9:30 p.m. A 38-year-old
female victim said she was walking down the road in
the 27000 block of
Newton Perkins Road at Davis Road, when a man inside a
truck stopped and
asked if she needed a ride. She told the man she didn't and
then the man
allegedly pulled the truck over, got out and attempted to grab
her while
saying, "Yes, you do." The woman claims her shirt was torn as
she
escaped and then she ran to a friend's home some 300-400 yards away
and
called her boyfriend. The boyfriend found the shirt on the road.
Police
are looking for a man driving an older Chevy truck, possibly 5 feet
9
inches tall, of medium build who is reportedly "scruffy looking"
and wearing a baseball cap.
Possible vandalism is being investigated after
the headlights and
windows of a dump truck were damaged Saturday in the 24000
block of Yearsley Road.
A woman reported she attempted to help an injured
dog off of the roadway
Saturday at 3:26 p.m. in the area of Route 347 at
Route 47. When she
attempted to move the animal, it bit her. Medics at
Memorial Hospital of
Union County treated her wound and deputies sedated the
animal and took
it for testing and care.
A work truck, discovered stolen
from Hardin County, was found in a bean
field off of Route 31 at Rushsylvania
Road Sunday at 7:33 p.m.
A lock box was reported missing from a residence on
Pleasant Street in
Milford Center, as reported Thursday at 11:23 p.m.
Prescription
medication, cash copper wire and a circular saw were
inside.

Timothy Smith, 21, of Route 347, and
Chris Cone, 20, of Magnetic
Springs, were both arrested for having an open
container of alcohol and
for disorderly conduct on east Fourth Street
Saturday at 10:30 p.m.
Police had received reports of men driving a car and
throwing beer cans
out the window. Officers found their vehicle parked on the
railroad tracks in that area.
Daniel J. Patrick, 24, of Amrine Mill Road,
was arrested for disorderly
conduct in the 100 block of North Main Street
Sunday at 12:52 a.m.
Jason A. Bevard, 24, of 353 Sycamore Drive, was arrested
for assault
Sunday at 12:52 a.m. after fighting with two other men in the 100
block of North Main Street.
Michael S. Davis, 34, of West Fourth Street,
was arrested for disorderly
conduct after failing to follow police
instructions and becoming
combative Sunday at 3:25 a.m.
A CD player was
reported stolen from a locked truck in the 500 block of
North Main Street
Sunday at 9:46 a.m.
Cash, property and prescription medication were reported
stolen from a
home in the 200 block of North Court Street Sunday at 2:24
p.m.
Yard ornaments were reported stolen from a residence in the 500 block
of
Surrey Lane Sunday at 3:01 p.m.
Parry A. Thompson, 44, of West Fourth
Street, was cited for disorderly
conduct after a verbal altercation with a
neighbor in the 800 block of
West Fifth Street Sunday at 8:08 p.m.
Unknown
suspects vandalized areas of Eljer Park with graffiti in the 400
block of
East Ninth Street Friday at 10:21 a.m.
A business owner from the 400 block of
North Main Street reported that
an employee was using his car without his
permission Friday at 10:55 a.m.
Jeremy L. Taynor, 19, of South Vine
Street, was arrested Friday at 1:50
p.m. on an outstanding warrant out of
Marysville Municipal Court.
Friday at 3:51 p.m. a resident reported finding
his home burglarized. A
video game and accessories were discovered missing.
The incident is under investigation.
Robin Shuttles, whose age was not
listed, of Springfield, was charged
with possession of drugs and
paraphernalia after a traffic stop Friday
at 4:31 p.m. on Route 4 at
Scottsfarm Boulevard.
Dwayne M. Rogers, 22, of Lima was arrested on an
outstanding warrant out
of Allen County after a traffic stop Friday at 10:07
p.m. on U.S. 33.
A 13-year-old male was arrested Saturday at 1:08 a.m. in
the area of
Creekview Drive after he was witnessed committing several
traffic
violations. The juvenile was discovered to be driving his parents
car
without permission and unauthorized use charges may be pending.
Theft
of money from a bank account was reported Saturday at 1:07 p.m.
from a
resident in the Hillcrest Mobile Home Park.
Household items were reportedly
stolen when a roommate moved out
Saturday at 6 p.m. An investigation is
pending.
Daniel Miller, 18, of Allenby Drive, was arrested on an
outstanding
warrant out of Union County Saturday at 6:57 p.m.
A resident
on Collingwood Drive reported Saturday at 7:28 p.m. the loss
of personal
documents and checks that occurred between his travels from
Marysville to
London area.

Bethanie Graves, 24, of 722 Collins
Ave., was arrested for operating a
vehicle intoxicated and driving under
suspension Friday at 11:05 p.m.
after a traffic stop on U.S. 33 in Jerome
Township.
Peggy Halterman, 54, of 13990 Pleasant Ridge Drive, was arrested
for
operating a vehicle intoxicated and driving under suspension after
a
traffic stop on Industrial Parkway at Corporate Boulevard Saturday
at 2:32 a.m.

According to police reports:
Kristopher L. Tull, 30, of 2001 Paver Barnes
Road was arrested and
charged with operating a vehicle intoxicated after a
traffic stop on
Court Street Thursday at 9:46 p.m.
A business in the 600
block of Coleman's Crossing Boulevard reported
Thursday about receiving a
check for $20,944.17 on Aug. 7 for the
purchase of a 2006 Honda Civic. The
check was returned for stop payment
on the account. The theft of the vehicle
is currently under investigation.
Two males were involved in a fight in
the 600 block of Watkins Glen
Boulevard Thursday at 5:36 p.m.
Tina M.
Daniel, 38, of Columbus was arrested and charged with domestic
violence after
a physical altercation with her son in the 500 block of
Claudia Lane today at
12:06 p.m.
Kenneth M. McConnell, 39, of 1537 Rebecca Drive was arrested and
charged
with assault after a physical argument with his live-in girlfriend
today at 1:40 a.m.
According to sheriff's reports:
Thursday at 3:20
p.m. Union County Sheriff's deputies responded to the
area of Route 161 near
U.S. 33 on a report that a man matching the
description of escaped Ross
County Jail inmate, John Parsons, 35, was
seen in the area. The investigators
were joined by several other area
law enforcement agencies in a search. After
checking the area, officers
found no one matching Parson's description. The
man has been missing for
weeks from the prison. He is 5 feet 10 inches tall,
weighs 190 pounds
and has brown hair and brown eyes.
A burglary was
reported Thursday after a resident in the 22000 block of
Middleburg Plain
City Road discovered several items missing from inside
and evidence a person
had gained access to the home through a window.
An unknown amount of cash was
reported stolen in a theft/unauthorized
use of a credit card Wednesday at
2:43 p.m. from a resident in the 8000
block of Highland Croy Road.
A total
of $2,000 in copper piping was reported stolen from a business
the 1300 block
of Route 4 Wednesday at 8:15 a.m.
A $30,000 Bobcat 773, white with a red rear
hatch was reported stolen
from a construction site in the 8000 block of
Industrial Parkway
Wednesday at 9:36 a.m.
A possible home intruder was
reported Wednesday in the 9000 block of
Maxwell Way. A juvenile who was home
alone reported seeing a black male
wearing dark clothing inside the house,
and the man left through a rear
door. No suspects were found on the scene and
nothing was reported stolen from inside.

Tyler L. Black, 18, of Columbus was charged with
no operators license
following a traffic stop on west Fifth Street between
Main and Court
streets Wednesday at 11:41 p.m.
Robert J. Shea, 33, of
21079 Route 31 was arrested and charged with
disorderly conduct after he was
found intoxicated in the 100 block of
north Main Street Wednesday at 11:25
p.m.
Sean M. Mintier, 23, of 633 Milcrest Drive was arrested and charged
with
criminal damaging after throwing a bar stool into the windshield of
a
vehicle belonging to his girlfriend Wednesday at 7:41 p.m.
Shawn K.
Ryan, 30, of 240 Caddie Drive, was arrested and charged on an
outstanding
warrant for failure to pay fines and failure to reinstate.
The arrest

James S. Morgan, 22, 629 Watkins Glen Blvd. was arrested Tuesday at

alcohol.
The manager of a business in the 1000 block of Delaware Avenue
reported
Tuesday that a bank deposit for Saturday was discovered missing

A 20-inch
Huffy Crater BMX bike was recovered in an alleyway behind the

A male resident in DeGraff reported Tuesday at 12:33 p.m.
that his
ex-wife forged his name on a check written out to him.
An

A parent of a student reported Monday that her
10-year-old female
suffered possible neck injuries after an incident on a
school bus which occurred on May 3.
Police are investigating a possible
incident of inappropriate contact

on Monday. The location of the alleged crime was
not included in the report.
An alleged child abuse that occurred in June
was reported Monday from
the 1800 block of Mill Ridge Drive. The incident is
being investigated.
A men's bike was reported stolen from off the front porch
of a residence
in the 300 block of Magnolia Drive.
Robert Oser, 25, of
1539 Claudia Lane was charged with two counts of
driving under suspension and
possession of marijuana and drug
paraphernalia. Police stopped Oser at 6:04
p.m. at the corner of Fourth
and Main streets, when he initially charged.
Then he was found still
driving at 8:25 p.m. on Delaware Avenue at Watkins
Road and cited again.

following a one-car crash Sunday at 3:55 p.m. on Route
4.
Robert L. Williams, 26, of Delaware was southbound when he lost
control
and went off the right side of the roadway at the intersection of
Route
347. He overcorrected and then went off the left side of the
road,
striking a mailbox and tree. Williams was taken to Grant
Medical
Hospital. A passenger, Kristin N. Stiltner, 23, of Milford Center
was
transported by Northern Union medics to Memorial Hospital of
Union
County and another passenger Daniel E. Thomas, 31, of Richwood was
taken
by helicopter to Grant Medical Hospital.

traffic stop on Sixth and Plum streets over the weekend.
Ryan Kirk, 21, of
13961 Pleasant Ridge Drive was cited for obstructing
official police business
and possession of marijuana after an incident
on Pepper Lane Tuesday at 1:52
a.m. Police were called after several
juveniles were observed trying to enter
cars parked on the street. When
police arrived they saw several juveniles go
into a home. After knocking
no one came to the door, although people could be
seen inside. Police
watched the home until a person who lived there pulled
into the parking
lot. After being allowed inside, police found numerous
juveniles hiding
throughout the house and basement. Five juveniles were taken
from the scene.
A pawnshop on North Main Street reported someone had
attempted to break
into the store Saturday night. No entry was made and
nothing was stolen.
Employees of the Scotts-Miracle Gro company pool
reported possible child
abuse after two small children were seen being dunked
under the water,
and hit with sticks between 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday. A
32-year-old female is
under investigation for the incident.
Derek West,
21, of 142 Burger St. was cited for having an open container
of alcohol and
possession of drug paraphernalia after an incident in the
500 block of North
Main Street today at 1:31 a.m.
Dwayne Roof, 41, of 216 Gallery Drive was
cited for physical control of
a vehicle after he was found intoxicated and
sitting behind the wheel of
a vehicle parked in a lot near his home Sunday at
2:08 a.m.
Amy Dodd, 40, of 640 Milford Ave. was charged with possession of
drugs
and drug paraphernalia after an incident in the 300 block of
Springwood
Lane Sunday at 12:45 a.m.
Jeff Schrader, 45, of 270 Stocksdale
Drive was arrested for intoxicated
disorderly conduct Saturday after yelling
at a neighbor and trying to
start a fight. Later that day Schrader was
reported to be yelling again
at the resident and was cited for persistent
disorderly conduct.
According to sheriff's reports:
Tuesday at around noon
a possible rape was reported to deputies by the
sister of a victim. The
17-year-old female victim did not confirm the
rape and did not wish to pursue
charges. The incident is under investigation.
Sometime between Aug. 5 and
6 a car parked at the Marysville Christian
Church was wrapped in Saran Wrap
and smeared with peanut butter and
jelly. The suspects in the damage agreed
to clean up the mess and no
charges have been filed.
Deputies reported a
lost pig was recovered in the 26000 block of
Yearsley Road Wednesday at 3:51
p.m. The pig has an ear tag with the
number 160. Anyone who owns this pig is
asked to call Sgt. Eric Yoakam

A car door was found scratched inside a garage in
the 9000 block of
Wells Road Friday at 6:12 p.m.

cited for having open bottles of beer outside
of Hiney's Saloon Friday at
11:58 p.m.
A resident in the 14000 block of Gandy Eddy Road reported that
four
charges of $500 were made from a credit card in fraud incidents out
of
Chicago. The thefts are under investigation.
Joshua E. Seckel, 18, of
Richwood was cited for operating a vehicle
intoxicated, underage consumption
of alcohol and driving outside of
marked lanes Sunday at 2:17 a.m. after a
stop on Route 37.
Julio Monroy, 37, of Galloway was arrested for operating a
vehicle
intoxicated, high concentration of blood alcohol content,
driving
outside of marked lanes and driving with no operator's license after
a
traffic s top on Route 4 at Amrine Wood Road Sunday at 3:26 a.m.
A car
was reported stolen from a garage Sunday at 10:42 a.m. in the
20000 block of
Route 4.
Criminal damaging and unruly runaway charges are pending against
a
16-year-old male from the 17000 block of Allen Center Road after
the
youth left home without permission for two days. After returning
home
and attempting to leave again without parental permission, he
damaged
solar lights around the house, dented a truck and caused further
damage inside.

According to police reports:
On Thursday police charged Peter Baldwin, 34, of
504 Garden Drive with
disorderly conduct at 6:27 p.m. Officers were
investigating a hit/skip
crash that occurred at 5:50 p.m. after a vehicle hit
a utility box on
Grove Street at Fifth Street. During the investigation,
Baldwin was
reportedly intoxicated and had repeatedly started arguments with
police
and was cited. He is also suspected of being the driver in the
crash.
Witnesses saw the car head into the Green Pastures subdivision,
the
tires of the car were shredded in the crash and the tire wells
had
caused scratches in the roadway which led to Baldwin's
driveway.
Burglary was reported Thursday at 4:25 a.m. in the 16000 block of
Square
Drive. An alarm went off at a business and police discovered the
garage
door open and a van that had been entered. Nothing has been
reported
stolen. No suspect were found in the area.
Rachel A. Cruz, 32, of
317 S. Main St. was arrested on an outstanding
warrant out of Marysville in
the 300 block of East Fifth Street Thursday at 8:56 p.m.

Sometime over Monday night and Tuesday morning a person
drove thorough
corn fields on Irwin Road and another field on Route 161,
damaging crops.
A resident said he accidentally left the garage door open

According to sheriff's reports:
Stephanie Christian, 26, of Magnetic Springs
was cited for falsification
and obstructing official business after making a
false report that her
car was stolen Wednesday at 11:34 p.m. It was later
discovered that she
had crashed her car and left the scene, then made a false
report. Ohio
State Highway Patrol responded to the crash on Route 37 in
Leesburg
Township. Christian was reportedly headed north when she lost
control
and went off the right side of the road causing the car to
overturn.
Christian and two passengers were inside. She was later found at
her
home and was cited for additional operating a vehicle
intoxicated,
failure to control, leaving the scene of a crash and possession
of drug paraphernalia.
A possible case of child abuse involving a
3-year-old female last Friday
is being investigated in the 18000 block of
Miller Road.
Brian Snyder, 24, of Marion was charged July 29 with possession
of drug
paraphernalia, speeding and driving under suspension.
A check
valued at $6,700 was reported stolen out of a mailbox in the
8000 block of
Business Way sometime between July 22 and 24. A Delaware
suspect was
arrested.
An 18-speed mountain bike was stolen from the front yard of a
residence
in the 13000 block of Sycamore Drive sometime over Tuesday night
into
Wednesday morning.
A deputy located a lost pig, wandering around the
area of Yearsley Road,
Wednesday at 3:51 p.m. The pig has an ear tag with the
number 160 and
weighs between 75 and 90 pounds. The owner of the pig is asked

to make payments. The renter was later found to have
been evicted from his

A 56-year-old West Jefferson man was found
dead in a ditch on Kandel
Road due to an apparent self-inflicted gun shot
wound Saturday
afternoon. The man was identified as William Rose.
A report
of theft by deception was filed by a business owner from the
17000 block of
Kandel Road Monday at 6:54 p.m. A potential customer
contacted the business
owner and requested items to be shipped with
payment to follow. A second
order was then placed, no payment was ever received.
A locked company
vehicle was dropped off for service in the 8000 block

Prescription

and stopped for traffic when Milton Carson
Jr., 51, of Columbus, also
northbound, failed to stop his semi
bobtail.
Carson and a passenger in the Lang vehicle, Larry Lang, 53, of
Newport,
Tenn., were both taken to Grant Medical Center for minor
visible
injuries. Cynthia Lang was transported to Memorial
Hospital.
Carson was cited for failure to maintain assured clear
distance.
Kimberly Sammet, 22, of 23620 Route 739, was seriously injured and
taken
to Memorial Hospital today following a one-vehicle accident on Route

in Taylor Township. She was also cited for failure to maintain

Sammet was northbound when she swerved to avoid a deer and drove off

right side of the road before losing control and traveling off the

side of the road, striking a ditch and overturning.

The gates were opened sometime while the family was
gone and it is unknown if
the dogs were stolen or ran off. The two
animals were valued at $3,000.
Later, one of the dogs was located. The second dog is still

Driver Kyle Nicol, 18, of Plain City was arrested for operating
a
vehicle intoxicated, two counts of failure to control his vehicle
and
underage consumption of alcohol Saturday at 11:28 p.m. Nicol had
crashed
into a car in the 16000 block of Robinson Road and then drove off.
He
later crashed into another car at Hagenderfer Road at Route 736,
leaving
his car disabled in a ditch. He then left the scene. Police found
a
wallet in the car and traced the crash to Nicol. Passenger Jeremy
Doss,
19, of Plain City was also cited for underage consumption of
alcohol.
Christopher Alloway, 36, of 878 Hickory Drive was charged with
operating
a vehicle intoxicated, reckless operation of a vehicle after
driving 99
mph in a 55 mph zone on Route 4 Sunday at 4:27 a.m. He was also
cited for speeding.
A total of 18 solar lights were reported stolen from a
residence in the

block of Elwood Avenue which occurred sometime on Monday.
An elderly
man in a rust-colored shirt was reported to have stolen two
wrist watches
from a business in the 100 block of North Court Street Thursday at 12:39
p.m.
Unknown person(s) cut the rubber gas line from a grill to a propane
tank
in the 200 block of Magnolia Drive sometime between July 15 and July
29.
The propane tank and the galvanized gauges were stolen. The report
is under investigation.
A leather cigarette case containing $500 was
stolen from an unlocked
vehicle parked at a business in the 400 block of
North Main Street Thursday at 5:36 p.m.

at 7:45 p.m. Arms was observed driving slowly and
swerving in the
roadway. His 6-year-old granddaughter was also in the
vehicle.
A 13- to 14-year-old juvenile reportedly stole two packs of
cigarettes
from a business in the 500 block of South Maple Street Thursday at
9:45
p.m. The suspect ran northbound through the alley. The case is
under investigation.

According to police reports:
Jeremy E. Welch, 26, 300 W. Fifth St. was
charged with criminal mischief
and theft after a stereo was reportedly stolen
from a car Wednesday at 11:45 p.m.
Michael L. Blevins, 43, of 989 London
Avenue was arrested today at 3:21
a.m. for domestic violence after a fight
with his wife at their home.
Two weapons were also confiscated from the
residence.
Stereo equipment was reported stolen from a truck in the 300 block
of
Sycamore Street today at 12:22 a.m.
Several flags and birdhouses were
stolen and damaged along with some
grass areas at Timberview Golf course over
Wednesday night.
Tools were stolen from a car parked in the 100 block of
Aspen Drive Wednesday night.
A 1988 GMC box truck was stolen from the 200
block of North Plum Street
Wednesday night. Stolen along with the truck were
tools, furniture, TVs
and building supplies which were inside. The keys had
been left inside the truck.
Police are investigating an alleged physical
abuse of a 7-year-old male
in the 100 block of First Street, which occurred
sometime on July 4.
Prescription medication was reported stolen from an
apartment in the 600
block of Watkins Glenn Boulevard Wednesday.
The tires
on a truck were flattened in an incident of vandalism
Wednesday in the 100
block of Birch Street.
A vacant house was discovered damaged Wednesday night
in the 1000 block
of Rosewood Drive. It was unknown when the house had been
criminally damaged.
According to sheriff's reports:
Tuesday night a
resident in the 23000 block of Route 347 reported
someone had left a
threatening message on the answering machine.

One person was injured in a two-car crash in Paris Township
Wednesday at
5:25 p.m. Susan Berrett, 39, of 262 Triple Crown Way was headed
north on
Route 4 when she stopped to turn left onto Amrine-Wood Road. Driver
Ruth
DeGood, 43, of Richwood was headed north on Route 4 behind Barrett
and
reportedly collided into the rear of her car. Barrett suffered
possible
injuries and was transported by Marysville medics to Memorial
Hospital
of Union County. DeGood refused treatment by medics and was cited
for
failure to leave assured clear distance ahead.

According to police reports:
Unknown suspects entered a home being remodeled
in the 18000 block of
Timber Lane sometime between July 1 and July 15. No
forced entry was
found and the resident noticed a gift certificate and a tool
set were missing.
Police are investigating a Tuesday afternoon report of a
male suspect
"doctor shopping." The suspect allegedly attempted to obtain
a
prescription at a business in the 800 block of Delaware Avenue
between
March 31 and April 28. The person also obtained similar medication
five
times from a doctor in Columbus. The report is under
investigation.
The left front turn signal cover was reportedly stolen off of
a vehicle
in the 200 block of Windmill Drive between 4:30 a.m. and 6:15
p.m. Tuesday.
Sarah L. Lord, 21, of 15763 Meadowbrook Drive was arrested
today at 1:36
a.m. for operating a vehicle intoxicated after a traffic stop
on Delaware Avenue near the car wash.
A passenger side door mirror was
reportedly knocked off by an unknown
suspect in the 300 block of West Fifth
Street between Monday at 12:20 p.m. and 6 a.m. on Tuesday.
A car was egged
Monday night or Tuesday morning in the 200 block of Vine
Street, damaging the
paint.
Three 16-year-old Plain City males were cited for underage
consumption
of alcohol and curfew violations after being intoxicated,
smashing bottles and
being disruptive in the Wal-Mart parking lot off
of Coleman's Crossing Boulevard
Monday at 11:45 p.m.
Stolen items,
including DVDs, a Sony Playstation equipment and video
games were discovered
during the arrest of a 20-year-old man Monday at
around 9 p.m. for an
outstanding warrant at his home on Allenby Drive.
Police are now
investigating the thefts.
A man in the 18000 block of Boerger Road reported
the unauthorized use
of his truck on Tuesday. The vehicle had reportedly been
borrowed by a
son without his knowledge. The son took the car to Columbus. At
that
point the car was borrowed by another son, who then lost the car.
The
truck has been missing since June 17.
According to sheriff's
reports:
Monday at 11:29 a.m. the theft of prescription drugs was reported
from a
residence in the 16000 block of Boundary Road.
A digital camera was
reported stolen sometime in June from the 19000
block of Main Street in
Broadway Tuesday at 11:54 a.m. The resident also
reported cash was taken from
a purse Monday night, but it is unknown if the thefts are related.
Tuesday
at 11:04 a.m. a possible sex offense was reported in the 8000
block of U.S.
42. The report centers around a 15-year-old male suspect,
with a 4 year-old
female victim, no charges have been filed and the
report is currently under
investigation.
A 7-year-old male was transported to Memorial Hospital of
Union County
for mental evaluation after he became out of control Tuesday at
3:09
p.m. in the 18000 block of Bear Swamp Road. He began kicking his
mother,
and throwing items around, damaging the home. The outburst may
have
something to do with medication doses.

According to police reports:
A residence in the 200 block of Greenwood
Boulevard was reportedly
burglarized sometime over Sunday night. A
television, cash and a
Playstation game center were stolen.
Four firearms,
cash and two laptop computers were stolen after unknown
suspects entered a
home in the 300 block of Sycamore Drive and took the
items sometime between
Friday and Monday morning.
Shirley Holycross, 28, of 520 Meadows Drive, was
arrested Monday at 5:27
p.m. on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear
in court.
Johnathan M. Vandall, 20, of 564 Allenby Drive, was arrested at his
home
for drug abuse charges Monday at 9:07 p.m. Police were at his
home
serving a warrant, when they discovered the alleged criminal
activity.
A 17-year-old female was arrested for underage possession of
tobacco
products and violating curfew in Schwartzkopf Park today at 2:52
a.m.
According to sheriff's reports:
Jan Jones, 80, of 130 S. Walnut St.,
was cited for failure to confine
her animals after her goats escaped from her
pasture and ran loose on
Valleyview Drive Monday at 6:27 p.m.
A possible
sex offense is being investigated after a resident in the
18000 block of
Cunningham-Arbella Road found a pornographic DVD in her
juvenile son's
bedroom which may have been provided by an adult family member.
According
to OSP reports:
One person was injured in a crash in Darby Township Monday at
9:50 a.m.
Danny K. Wampler, 55, of Unionville Center, was headed northwest
on
Middleburg-Plain City Road when he lost control and went off the
right
side of the roadway, hitting a mailbox and a guardrail.
Wampler
reportedly regained control of the car, but overcorrected his
turn,
causing the car to roll over. The car went off the right side of
the
road and struck a culvert and stopped on its top. Wampler was
injured
and transported for medical care. He was cited for failure to
control his vehicle.
