7/31/06
According to police reports:
Numerous vehicle break-ins were reported in the
city over the weekend
In the 18000 block of Timber Lane a resident reported
numerous items
taken out of the car at around 7:30 p.m.
Multiple vehicles
were reported broken into in the 600 block of Poppy
Lane Saturday at 10 a.m.,
including a lap top computer.
Vehicles were tampered with Saturday at 10:03
a.m. in the 1300 block of valley Drive.
Items were stolen from a vehicle
in the 1500 block of Sassafras Lane Saturday at 10:06 a.m.
An Ipod was
reported stolen from a car in the 18000 block of Timber Trails Sunday at
11:40 a.m.
Jewelry was stolen from a car in the 200 block of West Fifth
Street Sunday at 12:25 p.m.
CDs were stolen from a car in the 1200 block
of Valley Drive Sunday at 8:16 p.m.
A DVD player was reported stolen from
a car in the 1000 block of
Tarragon Drive Saturday at 12:37 p.m.
A CB
radio was stolen from a car in the 600 block of Poppy Lane Saturday
at 1:52
p.m. The property was then located by the owner in a nearby storm
drain.
Aggravated burglary was reported Sunday at 8:43 a.m. after a
caretaker
of a property walked in on a burglar ransacking the residence.
The investigation is pending.
Kenneth L. Amerine, 46, of West Mansfield
was arrested for operating a
vehicle intoxicated after a traffic s top on
West Fifth Street Sunday at 12:56 a.m.
No entry was gained in a reported
attempted breaking and entering of a
business in the 900 block of Columbus
Avenue Sunday at 4:57 a.m.
Clark L. Coleman, 42, of Columbus was cited for
disorderly conduct after
repeatedly running across the motorcycle light
parade at Ninth and Plum
streets Friday night at 10:15 p.m. He was
intoxicated and failed to
comply with police orders.
Michael Watson, 49,
of Coventry Place was arrested for disorderly
conduct after he was
intoxicated and found passed out in the 400 block
of North Main Street Friday
at 11:43 p.m.
Michael J. Kostreva, 18, of Columbus was arrested for operating
a
vehicle intoxicated and related charges after a traffic stop on
Main
Street Saturday at 1:59 a.m.
A business in the 800 block of Delaware
Avenue reported a man attempted
to use a fraudulent check Friday at 11:22
a.m.
A gas station in the 1300 block of West Fifth Street reported
cigarettes
were stolen Friday at 3:25 p.m.
According to sheriff's
reports:
Two counts of domestic violence charges are pending against Vernon
E.
Swinning, 27, of 20426 Barker Road after he allegedly attempted to
choke
his 24-year-old female family member while they were driving in the
area
of Northwest Parkway at Barker Road Sunday at 1:48 a.m. Reportedly,
the
suspect was picked up by family members and they were headed home
when
he became upset. After attempting to choke the female, the
second
21-year-old female in the passenger seat tried to stop the assault
and
Swinning attempted to strike her as well. He was then told to leave
the
car and walk home. They reported the incident to police and he was
found
and taken into custody.
Douglas Dahms, 54, of Grove City was charged
with operating a vehicle
intoxicated, high blood-alcohol levels, driving
under suspension and
driving left of center after a traffic s top on Route 4
Friday at 7:56 a.m.
Adult probation officials reported Friday at 12:04
p.m. that an inmate
alleges he was assaulted by corrections officers at the
West Central
Corrections Facility on Route 4. The report is being
investigated.
Charges for underage drinking are being investigated regarding
a
juvenile female who was found stumbling at the Union County
Fairgrounds
Friday at 9:47 p.m.
Possible felonious assault and
unauthorized use of a motor vehicle
charges are pending against a juvenile,
after a 14-year-old neighbor in
the 25000 block of Storms Road alleges the
suspect tried to run her over
with a car Saturday at 2:36 p.m. When deputies
arrived it was discovered
the suspect had been driving a vehicle without
permission. Assault
charges are being investigated.
John Phillips, 46, of
Plain City was cited for having an open container
of alcohol Sunday at 1:09
a.m. at the Union County Fairgrounds.

According to police reports:
Perry L. Carter, 48, of Richwood, was charged
with operating a vehicle
intoxicated at the Shell/Blimpy gas station today at
2:40 a.m.
Jeff York, 36, of 162 Oak Drive, was charged with disorderly
conduct
today at 3:18 a.m. at the Shell/Blimpy gas station.
A purse was
reported stolen from a parked car in the 17000 block of
Timber Lane Wednesday
night.
Charges are pending against a man for trespassing on a property in
the
300 block of Magnolia Drive Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
According to
sheriff's reports:
Thursday at 4:44 p.m. a window was reported smashed out of
a 1995 GMC
van at the Union County Fairgrounds.
Thursday at 7:01 p.m. a
resident reported that dogs were running at
large in the 34000 block of
Longberry Road, causing property damage to
trees and landscaping. Citations
are pending contact with the owners of the canines.
Gerry S. Musselman,
44, of 1422 Pleasant Ridge Road, was charged with
assault after she allegedly
punched a man in the face several times in
her home today at 5:22
a.m.

According to police reports:
Donzella Mulholland, 42, of West Mansfield was
arrested Wednesday at
9:55 p.m. after a fight with her ex-husband in the 1400
block of Meadowlark Lane.
A business in the 16000 block of Square Drive
was broken into Wednesday
sometime between 3:30 and 9 a.m. Unknown suspects
reportedly forced the
south door to get inside and stole an undisclosed
amount of cash. The
burglary is under investigation.
A resident in the 600
block of Chestnut Street reported identity theft,
which occurred sometime
between Saturday and Wednesday. Suspects opened
four lines of credit without
permission and used the credit card for a cash advance.
Wednesday at 10:20
a.m. a woman from West Seventh Street reported she
was bitten in the leg by a
dog while walking in the 300 block of South Court Street.
Theft was
reported Wednesday at 1:47 a.m. in the 1000 block of Charles
Lane after a
parent allegedly stole a payroll check belonging to her
son. The theft may
have occurred between Friday and Tuesday.
A total of $1,262 was reportedly
taken out of a bank account through an
ATM machine without permission from
the account owner Wednesday at 2:16
p.m. The theft occurred at a business in
the 300 block of East Fifth Street.
A vehicle was broken into Tuesday
night in the 1600 block of Sassafras
Lane and items were stolen from
inside.
According to sheriff's reports:
A home was burglarized in the
33000 block of West Mansfield-Mt. Victory
Road Tuesday. Jewelry and
electronics, valued at $1,060, were taken from inside.
A total of $600 in
cash was reported stolen from a car parked in the
20000 block of Barker Road
Tuesday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
On Wednesday some $275 in various items
were stolen from a home on West Park Street.

According to police reports:
Marysville Police are investigating a possible
suicide by hanging, after
Joshua Stewart, 15, was found unconscious in his
bedroom by his
stepfather Tuesday at 6:44 p.m. in the 18000 block of Timber
Trails
Lane. The cause of death is currently under investigation. Union
County
Coroner Dr. David Applegate said this morning that no foul play
is
suspected and that an autopsy is expected to be conducted on
Thursday.
A 17-year-old summer school student reportedly shot a 16-year-old
female
student with an Air Soft gun between 9 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. at
the
Marysville High School Tuesday.
A 13-year-old male was charged with
theft after he was found carrying a
pair of mechanic gloves when he left a
business in the 600 block of East
Fifth Street, causing the alarm to go off
Tuesday at 4:15 p.m.
James Morgan, 22, of 626 Watkins Glen Blvd., was
arrested on an
outstanding warrant on Spruce Drive Tuesday at 4:52
p.m.
Six checks were reportedly stolen from a residence in the 900 block
of
West Fifth Street by an unknown person Tuesday at 5:24 p.m.
Sundee K.
Neubauer, 33, of 602 Allenby Drive, was arrested on an
outstanding warrant on
Mill Creek Drive Tuesday at 6:13 p.m.
A red and white Pembroke Welsh Corgi
dog was reported stolen from the
back porch of a home in the 700 block of
North Maple Street between noon
and 5 p.m. Tuesday.
Jason A. Bevard, 24,
of 353 Sycamore St., was arrested on an outstanding
warrant in the 800 block
of North Main Street today at 12:47 a.m.
A Honda Civic was vandalized in the
200 block of Caddie Drive Tuesday
night. Bricks were thrown through the
front, back and side windows of the car.
According to sheriff's
reports:
Jesse W. Wiengold, 19, of Delaware, was cited for possession of
drug
paraphernalia and possession of marijuana after a traffic stop on
U.S.
42 north of Watkins California Road Tuesday at 9:35 a.m.
An arrest
warrant for Wayne L. Hamilton, 42, of 15779 Route 739, was
issued after he
allegedly assaulted a woman in the 15000 block of Route
739 on Monday.
Hamilton has not been located after the incident.
A laptop computer valued at
$2,000 was reported stolen from a home in
the 25000 block of Patrick Brush
Run Road Monday.
A scam was reported Tuesday from a business in the 20000
block of
Danville Avenue. A woman who works as a massage therapist reported
she
received an e-mail from a man requesting an appointment. He sent a
check
for $4,900 to pay in advance for the massage. Then he e-mailed that
the
check was a mistake and requested she send the additional cash back.
The
check was later discovered to be a fraud.

According to police reports:
One person was transported for medical care
after a two-car crash on
Scottslawn Road at U.S. 33 Monday morning. At 8:51
a.m. driver Teresa M.
Toomey, 53, of 12757 U.S. 36, was stopped in traffic
while preparing to
turn left onto U.S. 33 east from Scottslawn Road. Driver
Alvin R. White,
83, of Ostrander, was traveling behind her and failed to stop
in time,
colliding with the rear end. Both drivers were reportedly injured in
the
crash, although White was the only one transported by Marysville
medics
to Memorial Hospital of Union County. White was cited for failure
to
leave assured clear distance ahead.
A resident in the 900 block of
Watkins Glenn Boulevard reported Monday
at 7:59 a.m. that his estranged wife
had gained access to his cellular phone account.
Several hundred dollars
were reported stolen out of a bank account after
a woman left her purse at a
business in the 500 block of Coleman's
Crossing Boulevard Monday at 10:15
a.m.
Cash was stolen from a purse left unattended in the 200 block of
Collins
Avenue Monday at 11:30 a.m.
Unauthorized use of a credit card was
reported from the 400 block of
West Third Street Monday at 4:18 p.m.
A
sign was reported stolen from the front of a business in the 100 block
of
North Court Street Monday.
The rear door of a business was damaged and entry
was gained by an
unknown person in a breaking and entering report filed
Monday at 12:53 a.m.
According to sheriff's reports:
A resident on Dunn
Court in Jerome Township reported a possible scam in
the area Monday at 10:06
a.m. A man approached the home on July 17 and
asked for donations for a local
baseball team. He was very persuasive
and the resident wrote him a check for
$80. Recently the homeowner had
heard of a similar scam going on in another
county and called deputies.
Jan Jones, 80, of 130 S. Walnut St., was cited
for animals running at
large after her goats got loose from the property and
were reportedly in
the roadway in the 15000 block of Valleyview Drive Monday
at 3:26 p.m.
The goats were contained and placed back in the pen. Deputies
helped
secure the fence by making some repairs.
A person discovered a
rusted rifle while working at a construction site
on Willow Wood Lake Road in
Darby Township Monday at 7:54 a.m.
Charges are pending after a fight between
two juvenile males at the
Union County Fairgrounds Monday at 9 p.m. A
14-year-old male victim had
injuries to the face after allegedly being struck
by a 13-year-old male.

According to sheriff's reports:
Charges are pending an investigation of
assault after a man attempted to
use a chainsaw to injure a coworker during a
fight on the job. Saturday
in the 8000 block of McKitrick Road felonious
assault was reported after
a 45-year-old male attempted to run a chainsaw up
between the legs of a
25-year-old male co-worker during an argument.
The
victim was able to stop the chainsaw before major injuries occurred.
The saw
cut the pants and caused superficial wounds to the man's upper
thigh.
Deputies are investigating the incident and talking with
witnesses at the
scene.
Sheriff's deputies are investigating a possible arson that
occurred
Friday at 2:15 a.m. on Boundary Road, east of Woods Road. A vacant
home
was discovered on fire, which had started sometime in the early
morning
hours. Northern Union County Fire Department responded to the
scene,
with the home completely filled with flames. The cause of the fire
has
been determined to be suspicious considering the house has sat
vacant
for the past several years, the structure had no working power and
no
one was living there. No charges have been filed at this time,
although
several suspects are being investigated. The home suffered a total
loss
as a result of the fire.
Someone caused damage to a water pump in the
15000 block of Valleyview
Drive between Midnight and 8 a.m. Sunday after
water was let out of a pool.
On Thursday a business in the 7400 block of
Highland Croy Road reported
an employee quit the job and has not returned a
gasoline card. Some
$2,000 has been spent on the card for gasoline in Madison
County.
A total of $875 in car parts and a 200-gallon fuel tank were
reported
stolen from a property in the 22000 block of Rushsylvania Road
sometime
between July 16 and Thursday.
Daryl P. Pacha, 42, of Richwood was
arrested for operating a vehicle
intoxicated, high concentration of blood
alcohol content and driving
outside of marked lanes after a traffic stop on
Route 37 at Route 4 Saturday at 3:30 a.m.

A business in the 600 block of Milcrest Drive reported the theft
of
medication from a client Friday at 9:18 a.m.
Friday at 11:35 a.m. a
bike was reported stolen in the 1000 block of North Main Street.
Identity
theft was reported Friday at 11:55 a.m. after a resident in the
1000 block of
Millpark Drive discovered a line of credit was opened in
her name without
permission.
Anthony Redding, 37, of North Main Street was arrested Friday at
8:20
p.m. for disorderly conduct after he was being disruptive at his
home.
Michael L. Steele, Jr., 25, of Kenton was arrested Friday at 10:24
p.m.
for possession of drugs after a traffic s top on U.S. 33 east.
Lucas
Bender, 25, of Locasta Drive was cited for disorderly conduct
after being
involved in a fight behind a bar in the 100 block of North
Main Street Friday
at 11:27 p.m.
Susan R. Smith, 40, of Collins Ave. was arrested for operating
a vehicle
intoxicated after a traffic s top on Delaware Avenue Saturday at
1:10 a.m.
Jessica M. Gearo, 35, and Jeffrey Gadison, 36, both of Columbus
were
arrested for possession of drugs after a traffic s top on Walnut
Street
at the Trinity Lutheran School Saturday at 2:48 a.m.
Domestic
violence charges are pending after a female resident in the
1000 block of
Millpark Drive reported her husband assaulted her when she
returned home from
a family event Sunday at 1:30 p.m.
Sunday at 4:48 p.m. a resident in the 1000
block of Millpark Drive
reported that their daughter may have been molested
by an acquaintance.
The report is under investigation.
Heather M. Litz,
33, of Kenny Lane was arrested Sunday at 7:10 p.m. for
an outstanding warrant
out of Marysville Municipal Court.
Sunday at 9:35 p.m. police arrested Donald
M. Schoby, 35, for assault
after a fight with another male. Out of the same
incident Christopher
Kelsey, 28, and Dreama Cooper, 38, of Meadows Drive
were
cited for disorderly conduct.

Shannon E. Hay,
30, of 418 W. Fifth St. was arrested for operating a
vehicle intoxicated
after a traffic stop on Route 31, north of Marysville Friday at 9:30
p.m.
Several people were injured in a two-car crash Sunday at 7:50
p.m.
Driver Michael J. Black, 27, of North Lewisburg was headed west on
Route
245 at Paver Barnes Road when he was struck by driver Annegret
Coakley,
70, of Columbus who was southbound on Paver Barnes Road and
reportedly
failed to yield at the stop sign. Black and passenger Emily Black,
32,
of same address were both injured and transported by Marysville
medics
to Memorial Hospital of Union County. Coakley was injured
and
transported by Allen Township medics to the same location.

According to police reports:
A possible arson is being investigated by
Marysville Police. Thursday at
11:27 p.m. a 1990 Jeep Cherokee was found on
fire behind a residence in
the 100 block of South Walnut Street. The fire is
regarded as suspicious
because the location where it started was not near the
engine
compartment. In addition, the car was locked and parked when
found.
Angela R. Brown, 44, of 21785 Wolford Maskill Road was arrested
and
charged with operating a vehicle intoxicated and
starting/backing
without safety after she was located following a hit/skip
car accident
in the 100 block of Olive Street today at 1:05 a.m.
James L.
Isaacs Jr., 25, of 548 N. Main St. apt. 232 was arrested and
charged with
domestic violence and three counts of child endangering
after a physical
altercation with his wife in their home Thursday at
11:34 p.m. Three young
children were also in the home at the time of the incident.
A wallet was
reported stolen from a business in the 100 block of North
Main Street
Thursday at 7 p.m.
A 14-year-old male reportedly left his home in the 200
block of North
Court Street Wednesday at 4 p.m. without permission. As of
Thursday at
11:35 a.m. the boy had not returned home.
According to
sheriff's reports:
James Cromlish, 44, of 28 W. Magnetic St. apt. B was
charged with
assault Thursday at 8:56 p.m. after allegedly striking a woman
in the face and arms at his home.
According to OSP reports:
Two people
were injured in a one-car crash today at 1:42 a.m. in
Claibourne Township.
Kevin A. Blair, 17, of 27580 Raymond Road was cited
for operating a vehicle
intoxicated as a result of the crash. He was
headed south on Route 37 when he
went off the left side of the roadway,
lost control and then went back on the
road and off the right side. He
struck a ditch and the vehicle
overturned.
Blair was injured in the crash, along with passenger Joshua A.
Asher, 21, of Richwood.
Both were transported for medical care at Memorial
Hospital of Union County.
7/20/06
According to police reports:
Jonathan P. Mcloughlin, 21, of 718 Collins Ave.
apt. B was arrested
today at 2:57 a.m. after fleeing officers during a
traffic stop.
Mcloughlin was charged with having a weapon while under
disability (from
a previous burglary conviction), improperly handling a
firearm in a
motor vehicle, resisting arrest, driving with one headlight, not
wearing
a seatbelt and driving under suspension.
During the stop
Mcloughlin admitted to having a BB gun in the glove
compartment. As he was
being handcuffed for the other crimes, Mcloughlin
fled from the officer and
was soon apprehended with the use of a Taser.
Police also found a sawed-off
12-gauge shotgun which had been hidden
underneath a seat in the car.
An
unknown person reportedly threw a rock through an upstairs window in
the 600
block of Chestnut Street Wednesday at 11:48 p.m.
Wednesday at 9:32 p.m. a
resident in the 400 block of Emmaus Road
reported her purse was stolen from
her home sometime between Monday and
Wednesday. The purse contained several
credit cards, her driver's
license, checking account checks and $100 in
cash.

According to police reports:
Donald L. Shaw, 51, of 729 Kenny Lane was
arrested and charged with a
weapons violation Tuesday at 5:40 p.m. after he
was found on his street
carrying a BB gun while intoxicated. Shaw claimed he
was guarding his
vehicle against possible thieves.
A resident in the 1100
block of Nutmeg Drive reported his wallet was
stolen from his unlocked car
sometime Monday night. Several credit
cards, a driver's license and $800 in
cash were taken.
Tuesday at 9:35 a.m. a resident in the 300 block of Walnut
Street
reported receiving a check in the mail from a possible
fraudulent company.
The front and rear doors of a recently purchased home
in the 200 block
of Dogwood Drive were found open when the owner came home
Tuesday at 10
a.m. No forced entry was noticed.
A wallet containing $60
and family pictures was reported stolen from a
business in the 300 block of
East Fifth Street on July 12.
A small cooler was reported stolen from the
parking lot of a business in
the 1000 block of North Main Street Tuesday at
3:30 p.m.
A set of golf clubs was stolen from the trunk of a car parked in
the 500
block of Dove Street Monday night.
A Mongoose bike was stolen
from the front of a home in the 500 block of
North Main Street Tuesday at
7:56 p.m.
Monday night a green Murray bike was stolen from the side garage in
the
700 block of East Sixth Street.
Roxanna McCoy, 22, of 52 Cypress Drive
was arrested and charged with
disorderly conduct Tuesday at 10:07 p.m. after
playing music too loud in
the 500 block of North Main Street.
Assault
charges are pending against a man who reportedly struck a Kenton
woman in the
area of West Fifth Street today at 2 a.m. The assault was
reported to Kenton
Police, who then notified Marysville Police. The man
also allegedly smashed
the windshield of her car. The incident is
currently under
investigation.
According to sheriff's reports:
Matthew J. Dematteo, 23, of
Delaware was charged with speeding and
possession of marijuana after a
traffic stop on Jerome Road Tuesday at 11:44 a.m.
Sheriff's deputies are
investigating the possible sexual abuse of a
9-year-old female, which
allegedly occurred on Peoria Loop Road Tuesday.
The abuse reportedly involves
a 15-year-old male suspect.
One person was injured in a motorcycle crash
involving a deer Tuesday morning.
Daniel J. D'Andrea, 49, of 20510 Bear
swamp Road was driving his
motorcycle southbound on Johnson Road in Allen
Township, when a deer ran
across the road into his path. After striking the
deer, he crashed the
bike. D'Andrea was injured and MedFlighted from the
scene to Grant
Medical Center in Columbus where he was listed in fair
condition this orning.

According to police reports:
A car was reported stolen Monday morning from
the 100 block of
Northcrest Drive. Police are investigating the theft.
A
red/chrome bike was reported stolen from the Marysville Municipal Pool
area
Monday at 5 p.m.
Monday at 6:30 p.m. a resident in the 500 block of North
Main Street
reported a mini-bike and medication were stolen from the
property.
Scott A. Grubb, 29, of East Sixth Street was cited for having a
dog
running loose, after his German Shepherd was found wandering and
digging
in property on his block Monday at 6:54 p.m.
Monday at 9:50 p.m.
an unemployment check was reported stolen from a
mailbox in the 100 block of
South Walnut Street.
According to sheriff's reports:
A resident in the
13000 block of Weaver Road reported someone damaged
$200 worth of wheat by
driving an ATV through his fields sometime over the weekend.
Two tires
were punctured on a car parked on Main Street in Magnetic
Springs Monday
night, causing $200 in damages.

According to police reports:
Two ramps to a trailer were reported stolen from
behind a building in
the 1200 block of Columbus Avenue Friday morning.
A
purse was stolen from a car parked in the 1400 block of Firethorn
Court
Friday at 12:55 p.m.
Friday at 4:52 p.m. a resident in the 300 block of West
Fourth Street
reported a car was ransacked and a camera and knife were
taken.
Forgery or fraud occurred after a resident in the 400 block of
West
Fifth Street reported their 35-year-old son, who has the same name
as
his father, was possibly withdrawing money from a business and
personal
bank account Friday. The incident is under investigation.
Video
game equipment was reported stolen from a home in the 600 block of
Milford
Avenue Saturday at 12:40 a.m.
Jacob Marshall, 57, of 925 W. Fifth St. was
charged with safecracking
after he allegedly tried to break into a safe at a
restaurant in the 400
block of South Oak Street Saturday at 5 p.m.
The
rear window of a car was broken out and a CD player was stolen in
the 16000
block of Square Drive Saturday at 9:20 p.m.
Christopher L. Aranda, 21, of
Mechanicsburg was charged with having an
open container of alcohol Saturday
at 9:24 p.m. on Aspen Drive.
Emilie L. Smith, 26, of Plain City was cited for
disorderly conduct
after she was being disruptive while intoxicated on East
Fifth Street
Saturday at 9:40 p.m.
Sean Snyder, 24, of Pennsylvania was
charged with persistent disorderly
conduct and assault after a fight
involving another male and a female on
Maple Street at Third Street Sunday at
2:44 a.m.
Mardean Keller, 36, of Bellefontaine was arrested for possessing
drug
paraphernalia after a traffic stop on Second Street Sunday at 9:48
p.m.
Charges are pending against an adult male and female for animal
neglect
after the two left their puppy inside a car Sunday at 1:30 p.m.
The
animal was left inside with the windows rolled up in 95 degree heat
at
the parking lot of Wal-Mart Supercenter. The dog was not
injured.
According to sheriff's reports:
Criminal trespassing was reported
Thursday in the 8000 block of Route 4
in Union Township. Two people were
found removing aluminum roofing
material from property. The investigation is
pending.
A possible burglary is being investigated after a woman in the
13000
block of U.S. 36 East heard someone in the home Friday at 2:13 p.m.
When
checking around she heard a door close and then believes she saw a
man
in blue jeans and white shoes running from the area. Sheriff's
deputies
responded and no one was found in the area. Nothing was reported
stolen from inside.
Christopher W. Cook, 40, of 18275 Route 47 was
charged with domestic
violence, aggravated menacing and two counts of driving
under suspension
Saturday at 1:18 a.m. An 11-year-old male called from that
area to
report his mother and father were fighting. On the scene the mother
was
found in the garage with visible cuts and scrapes. It was
discovered
Cook had allegedly placed a gun to her head and made threats, then
left
the house. Cook was later found at a bar in Magnetic Springs and
was arrested at 3:20 a.m.
Two mailboxes were damaged in the 12000 block of
Leeper Perkins Road Saturday night.
Today at 3:36 a.m. it was reported
that a large amount of corn stalks
were on the roadway in the 15000 block of
Watkins Road. Someone had
intentionally cut down 100 to 150 feet of corn
stalks from a field and placed the plants in the road.

One person was injured in a one-car crash Sunday at 10:40 p.m. in
Paris
Township. Jessica L. Robinson, 17, of 18320 Pine Lane was
headed
westbound on County Home Road when she lost control and went off
the
right side of the road. She went back on the roadway before
losing
control again and went off the right side one more time. She struck
a
ditch and an underground phone box, before overturning the car. She
was
injured in the crash and transported by Marysville medics to
Memorial
Hospital of Union County. Her passenger was not injured.

Wright-Redding, 36, of 548 N. Main Street, was arrested for
operating a
vehicle intoxicated after he was observed striking several
cars in the area
of North Main Street Thursday at 2:03 p.m. During the
arrest he was found to
be possessing drug paraphernalia and an open
container of alcohol. The
investigation is pending.
A resident of Plain City reported that, while his
vehicle was parked in
the 500 block of Coleman's Crossing Thursday at 4:45
p.m., damage was
done to his antenna.
A female resident in the 100 block
of Northcrest Drive reported conflict
during the exchange of custody of two
young children Thursday at 9:09 p.m.
A resident in the 700 block of
Millcrest Drive reported witnessing a
juvenile swimming in the resident's
pool without permission Thursday at
9:30 p.m. The juvenile was identified and
parents consulted.

A home was forcibly entered in the 24000
block of U.S. 36 West sometime
between 7:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Jewelry, valued at around
$5,700, was taken from inside.
Union County
Sheriff's Lt. Jamie Patton reported this morning that since
June 30, a total
of five daytime burglaries have occurred in the
southwest areas of the
county. The areas have included Union and Darby
townships. He is asking that
if anyone witnesses anything suspicious, or
has anyone come to their door
asking for directions to call the
sheriff's office at 645-4101. He said for
residents to call immediately
after encountering anything suspicious so that
investigators can respond quickly.
A check for $3,200 was stolen out of a
mailbox in the 7000 block of
Corporate Boulevard sometime over the
weekend.

Theft from a bank account was
reported Wednesday at 10:50 a.m. Sometime
between July 3 and Tuesday a
resident in the 100 block of North Main
Street discovered money had been
taken.
An Ipod was reported stolen from the 800 block of Hickory Drive

Wednesday. The theft had occurred sometime between June 10 and June
19.
Prescription medication was reported stolen from the 300 block

conduct today at 12:08 a.m. after
being warned numerous times for loud music at her residence.

One person was injured in a two-car crash
Tuesday at 4:08 p.m. on Maple
Street at West Fourth Street. Beverly A.
Cornell, 58, of 920 Van Kirk
Drive was southbound on Maple Street when she
entered into the
intersection at West Fourth Street. As she proceeded, Holly
A. Lynch,
26, of 702 E. Fifth St. failed to stop at the stop sign on West
Fourth
Street and struck Cornell's car. Lynch was injured in the crash
and
transported by Marysville medics to Memorial Hospital of Union
County.
She was cited for failure to control her vehicle.
A credit card
was reported stolen Tuesday at 9 a.m. from the 1100 block
of West Fifth
Street and used in California to make purchases.
Tuesday at 3 p.m. a purse
was reported stolen from outside of a
residence in the 200 block of Windsor
Court.
A 17-year-old Union County male was charged with drug trafficking
after
a traffic s top on North Maple Street Tuesday at 7:29 p.m. Three bags
of
marijuana, prepared for possible sale, were found inside the car,
along with $59 in cash.
According to sheriff's reports:
Donald Little,
76, of 13299 Watkins Road was arrested Thursday at 8:16
p.m. for operating a
vehicle intoxicated and driving left of center.
Little was headed down
Watkins Road when he lost control on a curve and
went left of center. He
almost struck a motorcycle passing in the
opposite direction, causing damage
to the left side mirror of the bike.
The motorcycle driver was not injured.
Little went off the road and crashed.
A burglary was reported to have
occurred sometime between July 5 and
Thursday in the 23000 block of Route
161. A window was reported broken
out and a screen door was damaged. No entry
was gained and nothing was reported stolen.
An unknown person fired a
shotgun at the Mt. Herman Cemetery sign on
Whitestone Road sometime on
Tuesday. The blast caused $500 in damages.
Electronic equipment, cash and
credit cards were reported stolen from a
business in the 26000 block of
Stokes Road on Tuesday.
James E. Cromlish, 44, of 28 W. Magnetic Springs St.
after causing a
disturbance outside of a bar on South main Street in Magnetic
Springs
today at 12:23 a.m. Cromlish had been banned from the business
after
previously causing problems.

Korina J.
Cormany, 37, of 14780 Hillview Road was cited for failure to
control her
vehicle and operating a car intoxicated after she crashed on
Southard Road
Wednesday at 2 a.m. Cormany was headed south near Boerger
Road when she went
off the left side of the roadway, struck two yard
lights, kept going another
100 feet, until crashing into a ditch filled with water.

Delaware was arrested Monday at 9:13 p.m.
for possession of drugs after a
traffic stop on Route 31.
A car was broken into today at around 2 a.m. and a
stereo was damaged inside.

Damien R.
Vowell, 21, of 9408 Warner Road was cited for two counts of
failure to
confine his dogs. Monday at 5:15 p.m. a woman discovered two
dogs in her
yard, one of which had her kitten in its mouth and was
headed for a nearby
field. A second kitten had already been killed. She
followed the dogs to
Warner Road and to Vowell's residence, where he was cited.
A resident in
the 10000 block of Homer Road reported Monday at 4:43 p.m.
that a rear window
was discovered broken out on the home. They feared
people might be inside and
called law enforcement. Deputies checked the
house and discovered that $3,033
in jewelry had been stolen. The
incident is under investigation.
Deputies
responded to the 23000 block of Cranston Street for a
suspicious metal shed
fire, which caused $500 in damages Thursday at
1:19 p.m. The incident is
under investigation.
A resident in the 17000 block of Middleburg-Plain City
Road reported
Saturday at 2:08 p.m. that someone had opened a cell phone
account in
his name sometime in 2002.
Possible theft charges are being
investigated after a man took a 1996
Chevy Camaro to a business in the 8000
block of Route 4 for repairs on
Sept. 15, 2005. He had to pay $1,600 up front
for the work to be
completed. He then tried repeatedly to make contact with
the business
with no luck. He then had to pay $420 to have a tow truck puck
up the
car on May 22. He then discovered that items from the car had
been
removed off of the front end, worth an estimated $8,100.

According to police reports:
Police investigated a possible arson reported
Friday at 10:16 p.m. A
walking bridge near the soccer field was discovered to
be smoldering at
Eljer Park in the 400 block of East Ninth Street. Foremen
removed a
couple boards that were smoldering on the walking bridge and doused
them
with water. Underneath the bridge it was discovered that fireworks
had
been lit and a small matchbook was found. The bridge suffered
minor damage.
Clothing was reported stolen from a business in the 1500
block of U.S.
36 East Friday at 5:27 p.m.
Kelly R. Kidd, 49, of Woodstock
was arrested Friday at 7:34 p.m. on U.S.
33 for possession of drugs and
driving under suspension.
Friday at 10:08 p.m. a business in the 900 block of
West Fifth Street
reported items had been taken from a delivery vehicle. The
theft is under investigation.
A Marysville resident reported his child had
been physically assaulted
while at a music venue in Columbus Saturday at
12:01 a.m.
Kyle C. Eby, 23, of 173 Aspen Drive was cited for disorderly
conduct
after he reportedly was involved in a fight with two women in the

An employee of the Ohio
Reformatory for Women reported Saturday at 12:28
p.m. that checks were stolen
from her checkbook while at work. The
checks were discovered to have been
cashed in the Cleveland area. Police

A resident in the 28000
block of Osbourne Road reportedly woke up Sunday
at around 2:50 a.m. to
noises outside and witnessed unknown suspects
inside his car, then run into a
nearby bean field with flashlights.
Nothing was reported stolen from inside
the car and neighbors nearby
discovered nothing had been stolen from their
properties either.
Sometime between July 2 and Sunday a home in the 32000
block of Osbourne
Road was entered and $400 in damages were made after
someone broke out
windows and destroyed some of the interior.

Department of Human Services responded to the scene and the

Ajia D. Deardorff, 24, and Steven W. Moore, 25, both of
677 Milcrest
Drive, and Matthew G. Depriest, 19, of Ironton, were charged
with
criminal trespassing after they were found to be in an apartment in
the
100 block of West Fifth Street Thursday at 11 a.m. The tenant had
not
given them permission to be there.
A resident in the 100 block of West
Third Street reported receiving an
international lottery check Thursday at
1:02 p.m. A local bank believes
the check to be fraudulent.
A home in the
300 block of Sycamore Street was reportedly broken into
several times between
June 22 and Thursday. The incidents are currently under investigation.
A
GPS system and an Ipod were reported stolen from a car parked in the
600
block of Mill Wood Boulevard sometime between June 24 and June 29.

Thursday at 11:56 p.m. a resident reported his car was
vandalized on
Inskeep Craddy Road. His vehicle was disabled with a flat tire
on a farm
roadway and he left the car there for 45 minutes. When he returned
the
car was found heavily damaged, with scratches dents, broken mirrors
and
windows and the dash had been struck as well. While on the
scene,
deputies reported that a vehicle with two males pulled up. The two
were
found to have drug paraphernalia inside. Zachary W. Heminger, 18,

Boerger
Road were cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.

storm door glass was destroyed by an unknown person shooting a

the home through an unlocked door and took $1,700 in jewelry and

Eleyet was injured and transported by Delaware medics to

An unknown suspect pried open the back
sliding door of a residence in

laptop computer and several
DVDs Tuesday at 2:52 p.m.

17-year-old male juveniles were arrested and charged with curfew
violations
and unruliness after they were found in the 400 block of
Meadowlark Lane
today at 2:39 a.m. The two were allegedly ringing
doorbells on homes and
running away.

A total of $1,500 in steel
parts was stolen from a residence in the 8000
block of Route 4 sometime
between June 29 and Saturday.
A business in the 9700 block of Long Road
reported workers completed a
tune up on a car for a customer. In exchange for
the work, the car owner
gave the business a 1983 Cadillac. The Cadillac was
sold to another
person later on, but the person who bought the car has not
returned to
officially switch ownership with the former owner. The case is
being
investigated as an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
Charges are
pending against a 37-year-old Knox County female for
possession of marijuana
and drug paraphernalia after a traffic s top for
speeding Monday at 8:12 p.m.
on Route 42 at U.S. 33.
Tuesday at 10:30 p.m. a 17-year-old Marysville female
was reportedly
struck in the face by a 14-year-old Marysville female at the
Union
County fairgrounds.
A home was discovered burglarized and ransacked
today at 12:06 a.m. in
the 18000 block of Route 739. Nothing appears to have
been stolen at this time.
A man ran out of gas as he traveled down West
Mansfield - Mt.. Victory
Road today at 1:20 a.m. He left his truck to get
more gas and when he
returned windows had been damaged and the paint job had
been scratched
by unknown people.

According to police reports:
Due to electrical problems and power outages at
City Hall this morning,
many reports from over the weekend were unavailable
for inclusion in
today's news. The incidents will be included in Wednesday's
edition.
Rape was reported to have occurred on June 16, sometime around
midnight
in the 100 block of Tulip Drive. The crime allegedly involves
a
17-year-old Marysville male suspect and an 11-year-old Marysville
female
victim. The incident was reported to police on Friday and remains
under investigation.
On Friday at 12:15 p.m. the National City Bank on
East Fifth Street
reported that an irate customer shattered the $250 glass
entrance door
as he was leaving. The man also damaged a plastic sign valued
at $50.
Steven Rutherford, 18, of 198 Cottonwood Drive, was charged
with criminal damaging.
David N. Phillips, 18, of West Mansfield, was
charged with vehicle
trespassing and theft this morning. At around 12:35 a.m.
police saw two
males carrying black backpacks running east on Fourth Street
at Main
Street. Police stopped the two and discovered the bags contained
items
stolen from unlocked cars in the area. Similar charges are
pending
against a 15-year-old male.
Sometime between Thursday at 11:30
p.m. and Friday at 5:30 a.m. a
burglary was reported in the 500 block of Fawn
Brook Drive. A garage was
broken into and four packs of cigarettes were
stolen from a car inside.
A home was broken into in the 800 block of Milcrest
Drive and a cell
phone was stolen Wednesday night.
Two males reportedly
stole soda and beer from the Shell Gas Station on
Allenby Drive Saturday at
2:19 a.m. Police are reviewing video footage
and the incident is under
investigation.
A woman reported her purse was stolen while she was in a
fitting room at
K-Mart on North Main Street Saturday at 4:15 p.m. A total of
$20 in cash
was inside the purse.
The First Baptist Church on Chestnut
Street reported the building was
broken into Saturday night after a window
was forced open. Unknown
suspects ransacked a few offices, stole microphones,
a DVD player, a
black bag and dragged other items out. The burglary is
under investigation.
The Union County Messenger on North Main Street
reported breaking and
entering occurred at the business on Friday. A suspect
is currently
being investigated, although no charges have been
filed.
Crazy Scotty's in the 300 block of North Main Street reported
the
building was broken into Saturday night by shattering a rear door with
a
paving stone. Nothing was discovered missing inside.
Starbucks in the
1000 block of Delaware Avenue reported three patio
chairs were stolen
Saturday night.
According to sheriff's reports:
A car chase resulted in a
person making an escape Sunday. At around 4:50
p.m. deputies began pursuing a
man speeding 65 mph in a 55 mph zone on
Boundary Road. The driver did not
stop and a chase began that went down
Huber Hasen Road to Phillips Road, when
the man went off the right side
of the road, struck a ditch and a traffic
sign. The man continued
driving down a fence line and then went into a
heavily wooded field and
began running on foot. Deputies requested assistance
from Marion County
Sheriff's Office and a canine unit from Delaware County.
Law enforcement
was unable to find the suspect and his identity remains
under investigation.

domestic violence after striking his wife during an argument
Sunday at

Kenton, was charged with driving outside of marked

vehicle intoxicated after a traffic stop Saturday
at 2:41 a.m. on Route 31,
south of Somersville.
Jewelry was reported stolen in a burglary in the 24000
block of Route
161 Friday. Someone had broken into the home through a window
Thursday night.
A $10,000 ATV was reported stolen from the back yard of a
residence in
the 34000 block of West Mansfield Road Friday between 2 a.m. and
6 a.m.
Charges are pending against a 21-year-old Marysville man for
obstructing
official police business after a traffic stop Thursday at 3 a.m.
at
Fifth and Court streets. A deputy was requesting to test the
vehicle's
window tint and the driver refused to cooperate and began turning
up the
radio when asked to turn it down. The man also began rolling the
window
up, when asked to roll it down
