6/30/06
According to police reports:
A 16-year-old female reported today at 1:34 a.m.
that she fell out of a
vehicle after the driver took off without her fully
inside. The incident
happened at North Main and Fourth streets. Charges are
pending against
the 18-year-old driver.
A Trek mountain bike was found in
front of a business in the 1000 block
of West Fifth Street Thursday at 11:18
p.m. The bike had reportedly been
left there since June 10.
Joseph A.
Miller, 35, of 140 Hemlock Drive was arrested and charged with
criminal
trespassing after he was found inside a home without permission
today at
12:30 a.m. Miller left the area on a bicycle and was later
brought to the
police station by his son.
A resident in the 200 block of Caddie Drive
reported his check book
missing Thursday at 8:05 p.m. An unknown person
allegedly had been
writing checks on his account.
A tool kit was reported
stolen from a residence in the 600 block of
Milford Avenue Thursday at 1:57
p.m.
Burglary was reported Thursday at 12:49 p.m. after a male
suspect
allegedly entered a residence in the 100 block of Hemlock Drive and
took
items without permission.
A $500 custom ordered mail box was
reportedly destroyed in the 18000
block of Timber Lane Thursday at 6:49
a.m.
According to sheriff's reports:
Power tools valued at $1,200, were
stolen from a vehicle parked in the
17000 block of Paver Barnes Road sometime
between June 22 and Tuesday

According to police reports:
Children's Services requested assistance from
police regarding a welfare
check on children in the 300 block of South Court
Street Wednesday at
11:20 a.m. No one was answering the door at the residence
and it was
unknown if the children were hurt. They were later found inside in
good
health, with their mother.
A firearm was reported missing after a
business relocated to North Main
Street Wednesday at 11:25 a.m. The theft is
under investigation.
An 11-year-old male was reportedly assaulted by a
13-year-old male
Wednesday at 6:35 p.m. while at a day camp kickball game
held near North Main Street.
Paul L. Miller, 34, of 548 N. Main St. lot
226 was arrested and charged
with having an open container of alcohol on
North Main Street Wednesday at 10:31 p.m.

reports:
Dennis Hamlin, 46, of Alpena, Mich. was arrested for operating a
vehicle
intoxicated Wednesday at 2:47 p.m. in a traffic stop on Route 161
at Bates Road.
David Terry, 35, of Delaware was charged with having an
open container
of alcohol today at 1:16 a.m. after a traffic stop on U.S. 36
East.
Tools, beer and a stereo were reported stolen from a shed in the
21000
block of Board Road Tuesday.
Numerous items were stolen from a
vehicle parked in the 14000 block of
Hinton Mill Road sometime between
Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. and Wednesday at 6:30 a.m.

A 12-year-old Marysville female was charged with
domestic violence after
she reportedly damaged items in her home and struck
her mother during a
dispute over a cell phone Tuesday at 3:35 p.m. in the 600
block of Chestnut Street
A bike was reported stolen from the back of a
truck parked in the 1000
block of Coventry Way Tuesday afternoon.
The
"mouse" controller of a computer was reported stolen from the
Marysville
Public Library in the 200 block of South Plum Street Tuesday
between 4:15 and
4:25 p.m.
According to sheriff's reports:
Bryan J. Lynch, 34, of 1200 Bay
Laurel Drive, was arrested for operating
a vehicle intoxicated and driving
outside of marked lanes after a
traffic stop on Collins Avenue near Route 4
Tuesday at 7:37 a.m.
Jonathan D. Colley, 41, of Raymond, was arrested Tuesday
at 10:21 p.m.
for operating a vehicle intoxicated, failure to control his
vehicle and
seat belt violations. Colley reportedly was driving in the 14000
block
of Miller Road when he went off the road, striking numerous
mailboxes.
A resident in the 22000 block of North Darby Coe Road reported
Tuesday
at 4:10 p.m. that he saw a white male with a stocky build and wearing
a
white T-shirt run from a garage on his property. A window to the
garage
had been broken out. The man was not located.

Steven Sparks, 36, of Plain City, was charged with operating a
vehicle
intoxicated after a traffic stop on U.S. 33 at Post Road today at
1:45 a.m.

Marysville Police served a warrant for the
arrest of Harold D. Wolf, 46,
of 277 Magnolia Drive on an outstanding warrant
for arson and insurance
fraud Monday at 10:39 a.m.
A bike was reported
stolen while parked at the Marysville Municipal Pool
on Parkway Drive Monday
at 2:55 p.m.
James S. Morgan, 22, of Watkins Glen Boulevard was cited for
possession
of an open container of alcohol in the 500 block of South Maple
Street
Monday at 9:04 p.m. after he was stopped by an officer on bike
patrol.
A resident from the 1500 block of Meadowlark Drive reported the theft
of
money from an online checking account Monday at 3:45 p.m.
Charges are
pending against Melissa Workman, 21, of 132 W. Third St. for
allegedly
assaulting another female at Eljer Park Monday at 5:16 p.m.
Lucas E. Grimes,
21, of West Mansfield was charged with having an open
container of alcohol
while walking along Route 38 Monday at 5:28 p.m.
Monday at 7:43 p.m. a
resident in the 700 block of Kenny Lane reported
being assaulted by an
unwanted guest at the home. The incident is under investigation.

Brewster Cody Price, 18, of Richwood was arrested for
operating a
vehicle intoxicated and driving outside of marked lanes after a
traffic
stop on Route 31 at Moore Road Sunday at 5:19 a.m.
Prescription
medication was reported missing or stolen from a property
in the 17000 block
of Whitestone Road June 9. Jason A. Bevard, 24, of
353 Sycamore St. was
charged with having an open container of alcohol in
a vehicle after a traffic
stop on Center Street in Broadway Saturday at 1:25 a.m.
Deputies responded
to a report of a man possibly injuring an animal in
the 16000 block of Fish
Daum Road Saturday. Deputies learned the man had
left the area and was later
stopped on Winnemac Road. The man did not
cooperate with deputies and was
shocked with a taser in order to get him
under control. The suspect
reportedly suffered possible mental and
medical issues and was transported
for evaluation. No charges have been filed.
A firearm was reported stolen
from a residence in the 16000 block of
Brookside Drive sometime between June
10 and Saturday.
Possible criminal damaging charges are under review after a
16-year-old
male allegedly punched a vehicle causing a dent during a dispute
with a
17-year-old male Saturday at 9:38 p.m. on Pleasant Street in
Milford Center.
Deputies are asking residents in the 19000 block of
Raymond Road to be
on the lookout for two white males in a red truck,
possibly ages 35 and
45 years old, who have twice approached an elderly
homeowner about
sealing blacktop and installing carpet on her property. The
resident
reported the two had possibly entered the home and stole around $110
in
jewelry and cash. Anyone with information on the two suspects is
asked
to contact the Union County Sheriff's Office at 645-4100.

According to police reports:
Charges are pending against Roosevelt Irby, 51,
of 124 1/2 W. Fifth St.
for felonious assault after he reportedly became
involved in a fight in
an alley behind a business in the 100 block of North
Main St. Sunday at
1:53 a.m. Irby was reported to have injured a 27-year-old
male from
Columbus with a knife. The weapon cut the man's hands and he
needed
medical treatment. The incident remains under investigation.
Rachel
J. Urban, 28, of 20976 Route 245 was arrested for operating a
vehicle
intoxicated and possession of drug paraphernalia after she
crashed her car
into a utility pole on Milford Avenue Sunday at 12:48 a.m.
A car door was
reported damaged after a known person tried to gain entry
to the car in order
to get his property from inside Sunday at 1:30 a.m.
in the 100 block of West
Fifth Street.
A caseworker at the Union County Department of Health and
Family
Services reported Sunday at 4:20 a.m. the possible child abuse of
a
3-year-old child who had marks on the legs. The report is
currently
under investigation.
A car reportedly was dented on the driver's
side door with an unknown
object in the 100 block of Aspen Drive Sunday at
9:47 a.m.
Todd E. Marrs, 31, of 548 N. Main St. was charged with possession
of
drugs and drug paraphernalia and also an outstanding warrant out
of
Logan County Sunday at 6 p.m. Officers had responded to a business
in
the 500 block of Coleman's Crossing regarding a suspicious person.
A
resident in the 300 block of South Court Street reported her home was
entered
and ransacked Sunday at 7:35 p.m. Items were also discovered
missing. The
incident is under investigation.
Shawne A. Kauffman, 18, of 630 Allenby Drive
was arrested on an
outstanding warrant out of Marysville Municipal Court
Sunday at 11:42 p.m.
A car was reported stolen Friday at 8:31 a.m. from a
dealership in the
15000 block of U.S. 36
Friday at 11:50 a.m. a contractor
reported someone had spray painted the
walls of a property under construction
in the 500 block of East Fourth Street.
Friday at 9:37 p.m. menacing was
reported after a man allegedly made
threatening statements to another person
while he was holding a revolver
in the 400 block of Windmill Drive.
Jerry
L. Mershon, 37, of Willow drive was arrested Friday at 10:45 p.m.
for
disorderly conduct after an fight with his girlfriend in the 200
block of
West Fourth Street.
Saturday at 1:51 a.m. three juveniles were apprehended
after residents
reported seeing them vandalizing various property in the 500
block of
Mill Wood Boulevard. Curfew charges are pending against a
14-year-old
Marysville female. Curfew, vandalism and trespassing charges are
pending
against a 15-year-old male from Raymond and a 14-year-old
Marysville male.
Deanna L. Berry, 49, of Harriet Road was arrested on an
outstanding
warrant for contempt of court Saturday at 5:15 a.m.

to sheriff's reports:
Shawn Moffett, 35, of Russells Point was arrested for
operating a
vehicle intoxicated and driving outside of marked lanes Saturday
at 2
a.m. A deputy had stopped another vehicle on Route 31 in Somersville
and
Moffett had driven by, coming dangerously close to the officer. It
was
later reported that the man's black Honda was seen swerving around
the
roads and he was stopped.
6/23/06
According to police reports:
David W. Davis, 47, of 533 Quail Hollow Drive
was arrested Thursday at
7:14 p.m. and charged with aggravated menacing and
domestic violence for
reportedly threatening his wife with a 9 mm handgun
during an argument at the home.
A 16-year-old male was reportedly struck
in the face by another
16-year-old male during a fight Thursday at 6:22 p.m.
in the 200 block
of Magnolia Drive. Charges are pending on the
incident.
Thursday at 5:51 p.m. a 16-year-old male was reported assaulted
by
another 16-year-old male in the 500 block of North Main Street.
The
victim had two front teeth knocked out as a result of the
assault.
Charges are pending on the incident.
The manager of an apartment
complex in the 400 block of Windmill Drive
reported damage to the rear door
of an apartment Thursday at 10:35 a.m.
The damaged door was covered up by a
sheet by the tenant.
An XM satellite radio, $700 in cash and clothing were
reportedly stolen
from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 100 block of Grand
Avenue
sometime over Wednesday night.
According to sheriff's reports:
A
resident in the 19000 block of Boerger Road reported Thursday at 1:27
p.m.
the theft of $450 in gas-power lawn equipment from his shed. While
inside
eating lunch, the shed was left open and when he returned a grass
trimmer, a
hedge trimmer and a blower vac were taken.

According to police reports:
Wednesday at 4:36 p.m. a 2003 Chevrolet 2500
pickup truck, pewter in
color, was reported stolen from a business parking
lot in the 15000
block of U.S. 36. The truck was at the business to be
serviced.
A man reportedly went into a garage in the 600 block of Wedgewood
Drive
and stole a bike today at 7:10 a.m. The man then rode off as
the
residents were on the front porch.
A 14-year-old Marysville female was
charged with possession of tobacco
after she was found today at 3 a.m. on
Elwood Avenue at Main Street carrying cigarettes.
A Honda generator was
reported stolen from the 300 block of Hickory
Drive Wednesday at 10:31 a.m.
The item was believed to have been taken a year ago.
A female in the 600
block of Meadows Drive reported Wednesday at 12:35
p.m. that her purse had
been stolen from her home sometime in the past 20 days.
According to
sheriff's reports:
Charges are pending against Roland E. Monroe, 52, of
Dublin for assault
and aggravated menacing after a female reported Wednesday
at 2:13 p.m.
that while in the 11000 block of Route 736 he had struck her and
then
tackled her onto the ground, threatening her with a knife. The
woman
also reported he had stolen her checkbook, cash and cards valued
at $1,300.
A video rental store in the 28000 block of Kinney Pike Road
reported the
theft of $274.93 after a customer rented three videos and had
not
returned the items, running up late fee charges.

According to police reports:
Brock A. Layne, 29, of 788 Meadows Drive was
arrested for domestic
violence Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. after he reportedly
grabbed a woman by her
shirt and threw her against a wall in his home.
A
skateboard, valued at $125, was stolen from a residence in the 300
block of
East Sixth Street Tuesday at 8:30 p.m.
Sometime over the past week a theft by
deception incident occurred on
Laura Lee Drive. A resident reported paying a
contractor $150 to
complete services and the job was never done.
According
to sheriff's reports:
A business in the 7000 block of Industrial Parkway
reported that
sometime between June 1 and Tuesday a truck hauling a trailer
caused
damage to driveway asphalt.
6/20/06
According to police reports:
Robert D. English, 38, of 270 Stocksdale Drive
was arrested for domestic
violence, menacing, assault and disorderly conduct
today at 2:30 a.m. at
his home after he was witnessed striking a juvenile and
he threatened
his neighbor and a female inside his home.
Randy J. McElroy,
20, of 430 W. Third St. was arrested Monday at 8:39
a.m. at his home for an
outstanding warrant out of Marion County for
cocaine possession.
A rental
property was reported damaged in the 500 block of West Ninth
Street Monday at
11:51 a.m.
Buddy Horn, 39, of Delaware was arrested Monday at 5:51 p.m. after
a
traffic stop in Marysville in the 300 block of North Main Street on
an
outstanding warrant out of Delaware city for failure to appear in
court.
Two bikes were reported stolen from behind a residence in the 500
block
of Marine Mill Road Monday at 2:03 p.m.
An assault was reported
Monday at 10:26 p.m. after a woman in the 900
block of West Fifth Street
claimed she was attacked by her boyfriend.
The male suspect was found by
police and charges are pending.

According to OSP reports:
One person was seriously injured in a
one-car crash Sunday at 4:30 p.m.
in Union Township. Robert W. Inersen, 58,
of 1238 Collingwood Court was
headed eastbound on Sam Reed Road, making a
left hand turn onto Orchard
Road. He made a wide turn and went off the right
side of the road,
crashing into a ditch. Inersen was injured in the crash and
was
MedFlighted from the scene to the Ohio State University Medical
Center.
One person was injured in a crash Friday in Union Township. At 1:50
p.m.
driver Estle L. Allen, 71, of Mechanicsburg and driver Judson
W.
Humphries, 46, of Springfield were both traveling northeast on Route
4.
Allen attempted to turn left onto Route 56 and was struck from behind
by
Humphries. He was attempting to pass her at the intersection. Allen
was
injured in the crash and transported by Mechanicsburg medics
to
Springfield's Mercy Hospital. Humphries was cited for traveling left
of
center at an intersection.
6/19/06
According to police reports:
At 2:15 p.m. Friday Marysville Police responded
to the 1300 block of
Millstone Drive for a reported drug overdose after a man
called to
report his 41-year-old wife was found unresponsive on a bench on
the
front porch. The woman was transported by medics to Memorial Hospital
of
Union County and was later transported to Riverside Methodist
Hospital.
The Franklin County Coroner's Office notified Marysville Police
that the
woman had died at 3:50 a.m. on Saturday. Police are investigating
the
death, believed to have been caused by prescription drugs.
Friday at
1:22 p.m. two juveniles witnessed two other juveniles damaging
wet concrete
in the 200 block of Greenwood Boulevard.
A woman was witnessed removing
license plates off of a vehicle in the
400 block of Windmill Drive Friday at
2:15 p.m.
Jason E. Sinden, 25, of 19109 Easton Road was cited for carrying an
open
container of alcohol after he was observed by a Marysville officer
on
bike patrol on North Main Street Saturday at 2:07 a.m.

a vehicle
intoxicated after a traffic stop on Plum Street Saturday at 2:35 a.m.
A
resident in the 200 block of Todd Court reported Saturday at 10:35
a.m. that
his vehicle window was damaged.
A business in the 500 block of North Main
Street reported a wrist watch
was stolen from inside during business hours
Saturday.
Breaking and entering was reported Saturday at 2:55 p.m. after
a
resident in the 300 block of Magnolia Drive witnessed someone
gaining
entry to a home in the area.
The driver side door of a vehicle was
reportedly damaged in the 100
block of East Fifth Street Saturday at 4:12
p.m.
A pharmacy in the 1000 block of West Fifth Street reported a
female
failed to pay for prescription medication Saturday at 6:30
p.m.
John Paul Dixon, 34, of 123 N. Vine St. was arrested for
disorderly
conduct at a bar in the downtown area Saturday at 11:13
p.m.
Charles R. South, 46, of 81 Magnolia Drive was arrested for assaulting
a
woman Sunday at 2:35 a.m. near his home.
A resident in the 1400 block of
Pepper Lane reported that her purse was
stolen from inside the kitchen Sunday
at 10 a.m.
A woman reported her purse was stolen from inside her vehicle
parked in
the 100 block of North Main Street Sunday at 2:38 p.m.
Kyle
Stidam, 18, of 12 Butternut Drive was cited for failure to control
his
vehicle after he crashed into a road sign in the 1400 block of
Weaver Road
Sunday at 8:10 p.m.
According to sheriff's reports:
Tim a Schafer, 22, of
Columbus was arrested for speeding, operating a
vehicle intoxicated,
resisting arrest and driving outside of marked
lanes Sunday at 4:35 a.m. on
U.S. 33 at Route 4.
Numerous motorcycle parts were reported stolen from a
residence in the
12000 block of Bates Road Friday.
A total of $1,200 was
reported stolen from a residence in the 26000
block of Route 4 sometime
between Tuesday and Saturday.

According to police reports:
An investigation is under way into an alleged
rape of a 16-year-old
female while at a residence in the 700 block of Kenny
Lane. The report
was filed Thursday at 5:39 p.m.
Bonnie S. Roberts, 49, of
Woodstock was arrested and charged with
persistent disorderly conduct after
she was found intoxicated and using
profanity at a business in the 900 block
of Columbus Avenue Thursday at 11:25 p.m.
Prescription medication was
reported stolen Thursday at 7 a.m. from a
purse in the 100 block of East
Fifth Street.
Several tools were reported stolen Thursday at 9:15 a.m. from a
van
parked overnight in the 600 block of West Eighth Street.
Numerous
tools and equipment were reportedly stolen Thursday at 9:28
a.m. from the
back of a company vehicle parked in the 100 block of
Hemlock Drive. The lock
to the back of the truck had been cut and was
found in the grass
nearby.
Several unlisted items were reported stolen from an apartment in the
700
block of Meadows Drive Thursday 1:55 p.m.
A 4-year-old male was
reportedly bitten by a dog in the 900 block of
Southwood Drive Thursday at
2:29 p.m.
Pool sticks were reported stolen Thursday at 4:40 p.m. from a
residence
in the 100 block of Pearse Drive.
According to sheriff's
reports:
Deputies are asking residents to be aware of potential Internet
email
scams reported in the area. Today at 12:44 a.m. a resident in he
21000
block of Route 245 reported a possible scam involving a business
venture
including unclaimed funds. The Union County Sheriff's Office wants
all
residents to know that Internet scammers send out thousands of emails
at
random, hoping someone will take the bait and provide them with
banking
account information. Any email which appears "too good to be
true"
probably is just that. If a suspicious email is received, residents
are
encouraged to contact law enforcement.
Andrea R. Greenbaum, 28, of
18638 Dog Leg Road was charged with failure
to confine her dog. While the dog
was running loose, it reportedly
jumped up and bit a woman on the arm. The
bite required no medical
attention. When a deputy arrived on the scene, the
dog attempted to bite
the officer. The officer activated his Taser weapon to
keep the dog at bay.
A total of $1,500 in power tools was reportedly
stolen from a van parked
in the 18000 block of Cradler Turner Road Wednesday
night.
A MARCS radio was reported missing by the Liberty Township
Fire
Department Thursday at 11:10 a.m. from the 21000 block of Main Street
in
Raymond. The radio may have been left on a truck as crews went on
an
emergency run. The radio has since been deactivated.

According to sheriff's reports:
A recent Jerome Township Zoning Board meeting
was the location of a
reported assault Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. when deputies
were called to the
97000 block of Industrial Parkway. A woman claims that a
man at the
meeting deliberately kicked her calf as he walked by. No charges
have
been filed at this time.
Jeremy Lee Overfield, 26, of 220 Greenwood
Blvd. was charged with
assault after reportedly kicking his girlfriend during
an argument on
Pleasant Street in Milford Center Monday at around 5
p.m.
Wednesday at 3:55 p.m. a person in the 14000 block of Sycamore
Drive
reported someone stole $350 from a checking account.
A resident in
the 10000 block of Carmel Drive reported Wednesday at 7:50
a.m. that an
unknown person had gained entry to his garage and had
tampered with the lock
on the door that leads inside the home. It is
being listed as a possible
burglary attempt.
According to police reports:
Mark D. Ressler, 35, of
Waterford, Mich., was arrested on Delaware
Avenue for operating a motor
vehicle while intoxicated and failure to
yield on a left turn today at 1:54
a.m. after he drove into the path of
an officer, nearly causing an accident
with the cruiser.
An apartment was reportedly entered in the 500 block of
Meadows Drive
today at 12:50 a.m. while no one was home. Items such as DVDs,
a
computer, cash and a DVD player were taken.
Steven R. Daum, 42, of 102
Marysville Mobile Home Park was arrested
Wednesday at 10:35 p.m. at his home
for failure to appear in court on a warrant.
A garage in the 1100 block
of North Maple Street was forcibly entered
and a trailer inside was damaged
Wednesday at 8 p.m.
Wednesday at 9:20 a.m. a business in the 1000 block of
North Main Street
reported trash and garbage had been abandoned on the
property.

An 18-year-old female reported she was
inappropriately touched by a
16-year-old male between the hours of 1 and 3
a.m. Tuesday in the 500
block of Olive Street. The incident is under
investigation.
A flower bed was reportedly damaged at an apartment complex in
the 700
block of Kenny Lane Tuesday between 12:30 and 9 a.m.
Stone and
concrete blocks were reportedly stolen from a job site in the
1400 block of
Hickory Gate Monday night.
Drug paraphernalia was found in a yard in the 400
block of West Third
Street Tuesday at 3 p.m.
Michael J. Griffith, 46, of
507 Surrey Lane was arrested on an
outstanding warrant for failure to pay
fines Tuesday at 6:17 p.m. after
a traffic stop on Cherry Street and Lakeview
Drive.
Tuesday at 6:25 p.m. a 13-year-old male was reportedly witnessed
hitting
the front door of a residence in the 300 block of West Fifth
Street, which caused dents.
Clyde R. Jordan, 37, of North Lewisburg was
arrested and charged with
possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to
appear on an outstanding
warrant after a traffic stop on Aspen
Drive.
Douglas E. Grooms, 19, of 646 Kenny Lane and a 16-year-old male
were
charged with criminal damaging after reportedly knocking over,
kicking
and causing damage to a moped in the 100 block of Milford Avenue
today at 12:15 a.m.
According to sheriff's reports:
A black 1989 Harley
Davidson "Soft Tail" was reported stolen Tuesday at
10:30 p.m. out of a
business parking lot in the 23000 block of Northwest
Parkway. The vehicle is
valued at $13,000.
A stereo and cash, valued at $260, were stolen from a
vehicle parked
overnight Monday in the 17000 block of Allen Center
Road.

Adam Tignor, 18, of 17
Aspen Drive was charged with possession of
marijuana after a bike patrol
officer stopped him driving Saturday at
6:54 p.m. because of non-working
brake lights.
Ryan Ridge, 25, of West Mansfield was charged with operating a
vehicle
intoxicated after a traffic stop on West Fifth Street Friday at
1:52 a.m.
Kenneth E. Nicol, Jr., 39, of 13757 Fladt Road was charged
with
possession of an open container of alcohol and trespassing Friday
at
9:18 p.m. after he was found intoxicated in the 100 block of
Hemlock Drive.
Monday at 9:39 a.m. a woman in the 1000 block of Rosewood
Drive reported
allegations of sexual abuse on her child. An investigation is
pending.
Charges are pending against Laura L. Simmons, 43, of 252 Triple
Crown
Way after she was caught using fraudulent scripts to obtain drugs from
a
pharmacy in the 900 block of West Fifth Street Monday at 1:56 p.m.
She
attempted to leave the scene as police approached her and then
backed
her car into a police cruiser.
Possible child neglect was reported
Monday at 2:05 p.m. after two
children were found unattended in the 700 block
of South Plum Street.
The parents and the children were later identified and
the incident is
under investigation.
Monday at 3:07 p.m. a resident in the
60 block of West Ninth reported
leaving her home and returned to find the
screen door damaged.
A 14-year-old male was charged with menacing after
making threats toward
his mother in front of police officers Monday at 4:32
p.m.
A resident reported an unauthorized $80 credit card
transaction
discovered at a business in the 800 block of Delaware Avenue
Monday at 7:45 p.m.
A woman in the 500 block of North Main Street reported
that a woman
walked into her residence and assaulted her, Monday at 9:05 p.m.
The
report is under investigation.
Today at 2:25 a.m. a police officer
observed a person removing items
from locked storage units in the 1000 block
of North Maple Street. The
subject then fled on foot and was last seen
heading north toward U.S.
33. The incident is under
investigation.
According to sheriff's reports:
Kencil W. Scranton, 44, of
15771 N. Valleyview Drive was arrested for
operating a vehicle intoxicated
and driving outside of marked lanes
Saturday at 2:45 a.m. on U.S. 33 at Brock
Road.
A Pleasant Street resident reported renting a home to someone who
was
later evicted. Sometime between April 1 and June 10 the person may
have
stolen a bathroom cabinet and doors, valued at $190.

One person was reportedly injured in a two-car crash in
Claibourne
Township Monday at 4:10 p.m. Driver Brian J. DeBoer, 40, of
Richwood was
headed northwest on County Road 175 when driver John A. Juzwiak,
49, of
Richwood backed out of a private drive and struck Deboer's car at
an
angle. Juzwiak was reportedly injured, but not transported from
the
scene by medics. DeBoer had two passengers in the car, neither listed
as injured.

According to police reports:
Marysville officers faced a surge in crime over
the weekend. The second
part of the weekend reports will run in the Tuesday

Ryan P. Jefferies, 24, of 501 Three Oaks Drive was
charged with
possession of marijuana, obstructing official police business
and
resisting arrest after he was found carrying drugs in an alley in
the
100 block of North Main Street. Jefferies fled the scene and
struggled
with officers when he was captured near Plum and Fifth streets
Sunday at 1:55 a.m.
William Ogden, 29, of 2211/2 W. Third St. was charged
with criminal
damaging in the 200 N. Court Street after he was reportedly
intoxicated
and damaged a mailbox Saturday at 2 a.m.
Sunday at 2:46 a.m.
Fred E. Young, 34, of 21560 Route 245 was charged
with operating a vehicle
intoxicated after he was stopped on Delaware
Avenue for erratic driving.
A
14-year-old female is facing charges for domestic violence after
striking her
mother in front of a police officer Sunday at 11:45 p.m. in
the 100 block of
West Third Street.
A business owner in the 100 block of North Plum Street
reported a car
was stolen from their lot Sunday night.
A home in the 200
block of Redwood Drive was broken into over the
weekend and items were
stolen. The incident is under investigation.
Numerous cars were broken into
this weekend on Bay Laurel Drive and
Sassafras Lane. Stolen were electronics
devices and CDs.
A resident of Lancaster, Penn., reported to police that
someone from
Marysville made unauthorized purchases over the Internet using
their
information. The items were to be delivered to a residence
in Marysville.
A bike was reported stolen from the 100 block of Butternut
Drive Sunday at 11:50 a.m.
Charges are pending against a 16-year-old male
and a 24-year-old male
for possession and sale of marijuana, after an
incident in an alley in
the 100 block of North Main Street Saturday at 11:20
p.m.
Saturday at 9:30 p.m. a resident reported money had been withdrawn
from
a closed bank account, somewhere in Pickerington. The incident is
under investigation.
Theft charges are pending against a 13-year male and
a 15-year-old male
for removing traffic control signs owned by businesses in
downtown Marysville Saturday.
Three juveniles, were cited for drug abuse
and curfew charges in the 300
block of North Main Street Saturday at 4:46
a.m. A 16-year-old male was
charged with possession of marijuana and curfew;
a 14-year-old female
was cited for curfew; and a 15-year-old male was charged
with curfew
and possession of marijuana.

Deputies were involved is a pursuit Friday at 10:10 p.m. which began
in
Jerome Township. Andrew T. Doan, 18, of Dublin was arrested for
reckless
operation, fleeing, failure to comply with traffic control
devices,
speeding, and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Passenger
Michael Sustarsic, 18, of Dublin was charged with possession of
drugs
and drug paraphernalia and passenger David W. Schnese, 18, of Dublin
was
cited for drugs and drug paraphernalia. Deputies had responded to
a
vacant car in the roadway on Estates Parkway. While on the
scene
vehicles were fleeing the area. Doan made a U-turn and began
speeding
from the area and he was pursued at high speeds down Industrial
parkway
to Mitchell Dewitt Road.
Four mailboxes were damaged and destroyed
Thursday night in the 27000
block of Kinney Pike Road.
Kenny B. Slone, 26,
of 8 N. Main St. in Magnetic Springs was charged
with assault and aggravated
menacing after he struck a woman in the face
with an open hand Friday at 4:01
p.m. near his home. When police tried
to apprehend Slone, he reportedly
backed away toward a vat of hot
cooking oil and threatened to throw the
substance at police. Deputies
then used tasers to subdue and arrest him.
A
computer was reportedly stolen from a kitchen table in the 20 block of
West
Magnetic Street in Magnetic Springs Friday night.
Several individuals were
arrested after fighting at Lee Dog's II bar on
North Main Street in Magnetic
Springs Friday night. James Michael
Thomas, 27, of Delaware was arrested for
disorderly conduct and criminal
damaging; Robert Bradley, 28, of Richwood for
disorderly conduct; and
Larry Bradley, 28, of Delaware for disorderly
conduct. Thomas reportedly
broke a pool stick and turned over a pool table
and chairs at the bar during the fight.

Samuel Hernandez, whose age was not listed, of Columbus was arrested
for
operating a vehicle intoxicated Saturday night after a traffic stop
on
U.S. 33 at the rest area.

According to police reports:
Two rocking chairs were reported stolen from a
storage shed in the 400
block of Raymond Road Thursday at 7:42 a.m. Police
are investigating.
A resident in the 900 block of West Fifth Street
reportedly threatened
suicide Thursday at 9 a.m. The resident was found in
the area of
Millcreek Drive and transported to the Memorial Hospital
emergency room for evaluation.
A report was taken Thursday at 6 p.m. about
the theft of a bicycle
between June 1 and June 8 from the 700 block of
Meadows Drive. An
unknown person was seen riding the bicycle in the area of
East Ninth
Street. Police are investigating.

According to police reports:
Forgery was reported Wednesday at 12:20 p.m. in
the 200 block of Gallery
Drive. A person reported receiving seven fake money
orders. The incident
is being investigated by police.
Criminal damaging
was reported after a resident in the 200 block of Ash
Street discovered a
hole in the siding of the home. A 10-year-old male
told police he was
throwing a baseball to his cousin and the ball
drifted high and struck the
neighbor's unattached garage.
According to sheriff's reports:
Wednesday at
3:46 p.m. a resident in the 8000 block of Corporate Drive
discovered a cash
register drawer while mowing an open field in the
area. The item was
approximately 20 feet off of the roadway.

According to police reports:
Nancy L. Pence, 59, of 821 Milcrest drive was
charged with disorderly
conduct Tuesday at 10:35 a.m. after she was found
highly intoxicated and
being verbally abusive to a business manager in the
800 block of Milcrest Drive.
A pipe used to smoke marijuana was found in
the grass by the mailboxes
in the 300 block of Riverwind Drive Tuesday at
1:18 p.m.
A business manager in the 800 block of Delaware Avenue reported
numerous
checks had been written to the business, which were returned
for
non-sufficient funds. The checks were written between Thursday
and Sunday.
A Sony camera was stolen out of a vehicle in the 500 block of
West
Seventh Street Tuesday at 4:15 p.m.
Tuesday at 4:38 p.m. a wallet was
reported stolen by an unknown person
at the Marysville Municipal Pool. Cash
and several credits cards were taken.
Paul D. Shaw, 58, of Butternut Drive
was arrested and charged with
operating a vehicle intoxicated after a traffic
stop on Chestnut Street
Tuesday at 6:41 p.m. Shaw was found intoxicated by a
bike patrol officer.
A 17-year-old female was charged with being unruly
Tuesday at 6:52 p.m.
in the 900 block of Lora Lee Drive after a dispute with
her mother.
It was reported Tuesday at 10:08 p.m. that an unknown suspect may
have
tried to gain entry into the East Elementary School building. Pry
marks
were found on the door and the security plate over the lock
mechanism
was found to be loose. No entry was made to the
building.

Two money orders and a driver's
license were reported possibly stolen
Tuesday at 3:26 p.m. A resident in the
14000 block of Pleasant Ridge
Drive reported he had given a friend the
materials to keep safe and now
the friend denies the items were given to her.
The woman was later
arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Franklin
County.
Dora Beth Johnson, 41, of 11034 Santa Barbara Drive was cited
for
failure to confine her dog Tuesday at 6:08 p.m. A resident in the
11000
block of Santa Barbara Drive reported that he and his wife were
walking
their leashed dog on the road when Johnson's dog attacked their
pet.

34, of Delaware was arrested
for operating a vehicle intoxicated after a
traffic stop on U.S. 33,

According to police reports:
A resident in the 600 block of North Maple
Street reported Monday at
11:30 a.m. that her checks were stolen and used
without her permission.
Prescription medication was reported missing from a
home in the 500
block of North Main Street Monday at 5:30 p.m.
Allen L.
Wells, 54, of Richwood, was arrested Monday at 7:41 p.m. for
possession of
marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Syringes and an unknown
liquid were
confiscated as well, and the materials will be analyzed with
additional
charges expected. The arrest was the result of a traffic s
top on U.S. 33 at
Route 31.
A decorative rock from a grave site on Raymond Road was reported
missing
Monday at 7:55 p.m. The grave site was also disheveled, with
flowers
pulled out. The report is under investigation.
Monday at 8:45 p.m.
a resident in the 200 block of Cypress Drive
reported her daughter had been
shot with an air pellet gun. The juvenile
was discovered to have had minimal
injuries and no charges were filed.
According to sheriff's reports:
Monday
at 5:03 a.m. a business in the 10000 block of U.S. 42 reported
that someone
forced entry into the building overnight and stole a safe
from an office,
which contained an undetermined amount of cash. The
incident is under
investigation.
A stereo and 20 CDs were stolen from a business in the 7500
block of
Montgomery Drive sometime between Saturday and Monday.
A resident
in the 19000 block of Bear Swamp Road reported Monday at
around 4 p.m. that
$1,200 in purchases were made to her clothing store
credit card without her
knowledge.
Thomas J. Huckleberry, 40, of Elyria, was arrested for operating
a
vehicle intoxicated Monday at 8 p.m. in the 10000 block of U.S.
42.
Plain City Police officers contacted deputies in Union County
concerning
a silver Cadillac and license plate number that was involved in
a
possible indecent exposure at a park in their area. Huckleberry
was
found driving that vehicle. Potential indecent exposure charges
are
being pursued by Plain City.

According to sheriff's reports:
Domestic violence and assault charges are
pending against two sisters
after one of them stabbed the other during a
dispute over a telephone
that happened May 29 at 11:30 p.m. The incident was
reported to deputies
on Thursday at 2:20 p.m. by Union County Mental
Retardation and
Developmental Disabilities officials, regarding the
18-year-old and
19-year-old sisters involved in the program. The younger
sister
reportedly began kicking and fighting the older sister, then pulled
a
knife out of the drawer and stabbed her older sister in the upper
thigh.
The wound was only superficial and no medical attention was
required.
Charges are under review by the Union County Prosecutor's Office,
and
the MR/DD also is investigating.
In a joint investigation between the
Ohio Department of Public Safety
and the Union County Sheriff's Office,
several people were arrested in
the county Friday night for allegedly selling
alcohol to minors. Cited
for selling alcohol to an underage person were Karla
J. Wygle, 34, of
24295 Lunda Road at Country Jack's on Main Street in
Broadway; Helen
Tucker, 34, of Richwood at Lee Dog's II on North Main Street
in Magnetic
Springs; Christie J. Tignor, 31, of 23162 Route 37 at the Pit
Stop on
Route 4 and Samantha L. Black, 47, of Mechanicsburg at Hoot n'
Annie's
Pub and Grill. The arrests were made with the aid of an undercover
Ohio
Department of Public Safety agent.
Sunday at 5:16 p.m. a resident in
the 22000 block of Winget Road found a
Honda F50 red and black dirt bike
under a bridge near his home. The bike
was discovered to have been stolen out
of Miami County.
Sunday at 6:27 p.m. it was reported that a 1980 Honda
motorcycle was
stolen from a residence in the 12000 block of Bates
Road.

Two handguns were reported stolen from a residence in the 500 block

North Main Street Friday at 4:29 p.m.

listed, and Cherrie Vanbuskirk, 36, of
Mt. Victory were cited for disorderly
conduct after being involved in a
dispute in the area of Kare Medical on
Columbus Avenue. Both were
charged and released Friday at 11:55
a.m.
Brandon L. Lowe, 24, of Milford Center was arrested for operating
a
vehicle intoxicated after a traffic stop on East Fifth Street
Saturday at 3:19 a.m.
Samuel L. Clemans, 36, of Route 4 was arrested for
operating a vehicle
intoxicated after a traffic stop on U.S. 33 Saturday at
6:19 p.m.
A 16-year-old male was cited for violating curfew on West Seventh
Street
near Ash Street Saturday at 1:23 a.m. The male had been warned
before
about previous curfew violations.
Jocelyn A. Rowe, 30, no address
listed, was arrested for driving under
the influence of alcohol after a
traffic stop on U.S. 33 Sunday at 3:37
a.m. The call was made to police from
an 1-800-GRAB-DUI hotline.
A resident in the 500 block of East Sixth Street
and a resident in the
700 block of Watkins Glen Boulevard reported Sunday
afternoon that their
homes were damaged by paint ball gun pellets being shot
at it overnight.
A purse was possibly stolen from a woman at the Wal-Mart
Super Center
Sunday at 5:07 p.m. She had left the purse in a shopping cart
and the
item was missing when she returned.

Krista McKay, 24, of Westerville, was arrested for operating a
vehicle
intoxicated Saturday at 12:25 a.m. after a traffic stop on U.S. 33
at Post Road.
Daryl Waller, 24, of 410 E. Sixth St. was arrested Sunday at
2:05 a.m.
for operating a vehicle intoxicated after a traffic stop on Fifth
Street
at Kentucky Fried Chicken in Marysville.
Two people were injured in
a two-car crash Thursday at 5:42 a.m. in
Allen Township. Christine N. Cost,
30, of 22807 Board Road, was driving
westbound on County Road 165. At the
same time, driver Rex A. Houk, no
age listed, of Raymond was headed eastbound
on County Road 165 when he
turned left in front of Cost at County Road 133
and caused the crash.
Both were injured and transported by Allen Township
medics to Memorial
Hospital of Union County.

According to police reports:
Police arrested James B. Black, 23, of Richwood
and Andrea A. Barron,
26, of Richwood for child endangering Thursday at 6:11
p.m. Police
responded to a report of unattended children left inside a
vehicle in
the 1100 block of West Fifth Street. Officers found two female,
ages 6
and 1, in the car. Both the mother and a friend were located in
separate
businesses. As a result of the investigation, officers also found
drug
paraphernalia and a small amount of a controlled substance on
Black.
Barron was also arrested on a misdemeanor warrant from Delaware
County
and jailed. The children were released to a grandparent.
Further
drug-related charges are pending laboratory examination.
Thursday
at 7:39 a.m. a business in the 500 block of East Fifth Street
reported a $400
impact wrench was stolen from an unlocked car sometime
since Wednesday.
A
coil unit for a furnace was reported stolen from a house under
construction
in the 600 block of Glen Oaks Drive sometime between
Wednesday night and
Thursday morning.

Thursday at 1:39 p.m.
deputies responded to Hinton Mill Road after a
farmer reported teenagers were
damaging crops with ATVs. Jared A.
Kimball, 18, of Mingo and Regan D.
Brumbly, 18, of Urbana were both
cited for criminal trespassing.
A total
of $1,300 was illegally charged to a resident's credit card
sometime between
May 25 and Thursday in the 7400 block of Montgomery Drive.
Sometime over
Wednesday night a yellow Suzuki LTZ400 ATV was stolen from
the 24000 block of
Route 347, valued at $3,500.

According to police reports:
A resident of Springwood Lane reported Wednesday
at 9:30 a.m. that he
hadn't seen his 17-year-old son since 8 a.m. Tuesday.
Deputies reported
that the teen was found and arrested at a residence on
Chestnut Street
yesterday at 4 p.m.
A manager at Dollar General, 320
Milcreek Drive, reported Wednesday at
2:50 p.m. that she observed a female
customer remove two Igloo coolers
from the business without paying for them.
Estimated loss is $11. The
incident is under investigation.
According to
sheriff's reports:
Theft of masonry tools at a construction site in the 15000
block of
Paver Barnes Road occurred sometime between Friday and
Tuesday.
Estimated loss is $6500.
Theft of 5.4 gallons of gas, valued at
$15.13, from Village Mart, 10,000
block of U.S. 42, was reported Wednesday at
2:25 p.m.

Update: - The Union
County Sheriff's Office updated information on a reported
sexual imposition
case on April 11. A resident in the 400 block of
Railroad Street in
Unionville Center had claimed a man was watching
three young children in a
bathroom.
Evidence was not found to substantiate the claims. Deputies
reported
Wednesday that the investigation has concluded and the suspect will
not
been charged.
