5/31/06
According to police reports:
Memorial Hospital of Union County reported a
female who visited the
emergency room had injuries that my have indicated a
sexual assault.
The assault may have occurred sometime between May 21 and
Saturday. The
victim refused to cooperate and denied any violence. The
incident was
reported to police Tuesday at 1:20 a.m.
The lock on a storage
unit in the 100 block of North Maple Street was
cut sometime around 8 a.m. on
Monday and fishing equipment was stolen.
Marcus D. Idlett, 48, of Columbus
was charged with obstructing official
police business after he gave a false
name during a traffic stop at 5:07
p.m. on Tuesday.
A resident in the 900
block of Coventry Place reported damage to her car
and items stolen from
inside, including cash and a CD. The incident was
reported Tuesday at 6:52
p.m.
Robert D. English, 38, of 270 Stocksdale Drive, apt. 32A, was
charged
with disorderly conduct, possession of an open container of alcohol
and
possession of marijuana after he was witnessed in an intoxicated
state
in a parking lot on Stockdale Drive Tuesday at 10 p.m.
According to
sheriff's reports:
On Friday a resident in the 10000 block of Route 736
reported an unknown
person in Indiana had charged $1,400 to his credit card.
The report is under investigation.

A resident reported her wallet missing and money
withdrawn from her
bank. It was reported Friday at 9:30 a.m.
A 15-year-old
male was charged with criminal damaging after he removed a
street sign at
Fourth Street and Lee Place Friday at 10:52 p.m.
A bicycle was damaged during
a dispute Saturday at 9:34 p.m. in the 500
block of Allenby Drive.
Steven
D. Mills, 27, of Lawton, Okla., was charged with disorderly
conduct after he
was witnessed urinating on public property in the 100
block of North Main
Street Sunday at 2:26 a.m.
Samuel Hernandez, 22, of Columbus was arrested for
operating a vehicle
intoxicated after a traffic stop on U.S. 33 Sunday at
4:47 a.m.
Jason Redcloud, 33, of 200 Greenwood Blvd. was arrested for
reported
domestic violence after a dispute with his estranged wife Sunday at
9:55 a.m.
A 14-year-old male was arrested for domestic violence Sunday at
11:07
a.m. after assaulting his mother and resisting arrest. The male had
to
be physically restrained by police officers and transported to
the
Central Ohio Youth Center.
Richard A. Martin, 41, of 290 First St. was
charged with domestic
violence after a dispute with his wife Sunday at 12:46
p.m.
A resident reported his bicycle was stolen from the 900 block of
West
Fifth Street Sunday at 7:04 p.m.
A van window was reported broken out
Sunday at 9:33 p.m. on East Fourth Street.
Steven L. Blythe, 32, of 754
Meadows Drive was arrested for disorderly
conduct after a dispute in the 1300
block of Cinnamon Drive Sunday at 11:30 p.m.
Jeffrey R. Logan, 19, of 606
E. Sixth St. was arrested for theft and
trespassing into a vehicle, after a
resident witnessed him taking items
from a car Monday at 2:15 a.m.
A
5-month-old child was reportedly brought to Memorial Hospital of Union
County
after sustaining injuries from a possible fall. The child was
then taken to
Children's Hospital in Columbus for further treatment
Monday at 3:15 a.m.
Police are investigating the incident.
Toby S. Stebbing, 37, of 119 Birch
Drive was arrested for domestic
violence after a dispute with his wife Monday
at 7:34 a.m.
A car was reportedly "egged" on West Fifth Street sometime over
Sunday night.
Loretta M. Miller, 31, of 548 N. Main St. and James S.
Morgan, 22, of
Watkins Glen Boulevard were arrested for having an open
container of
alcohol in the Marysville Mobile Home Park Monday at 5:40
p.m.
Benjamin C. Fisher, 19, of Columbus was arrested for possession of
drugs
after a traffic stop on U.S. 33 Monday at 6:32 p.m.

A CD player and speaker system were stolen out of a car in
the 11000
block of U.S. 36 sometime between May 21 and Sunday.

Faires, 41, of Plain City was charged with operating a vehicle
intoxicated
and failure to signal a turn Sunday at 1:58 a.m. at Main
Street and U.S. 42
in Plain City.
Breaking and entering was reported after $820 in tools were
stolen from
a barn Saturday in the 19000 Middleburg-Plain City Road.
An
ignition switch was stolen off of a motorcycle in the 28000 block of
Kinney
Pike Road sometime between May 13 and Saturday.
Numerous furniture items,
valued at $985, were taken from a storage
facility in the 24000 block of
Honda Parkway sometime on May 6.
A cornfield was reported damaged by a car
Friday in the 19000 block of Easton Road.
Charles J. Hiegel, 20, of Van
Wert was cited for driving with an open
container of alcohol, possession of
drug paraphernalia and possession of
marijuana after a traffic stop Friday at
6:22 p.m.
Jeffrey A. Rivers, 45, of West Mansfield was arrested for
domestic
violence Friday afternoon, after choking his sister during an
argument
in the 24000 block of Davis Road.
A soybean field was reported
damaged by a car Monday in the 23000 block
of Hoover Bault Road.
A
resident in the 10000 block of Dover County Line Road reported the
theft of
$149 from her checking account on the Internet Monday.

arrested for operating
a vehicle intoxicated and possession of drug
paraphernalia, after a
traffic stop in the 700 block of North Maple Street
Thursday at 3:49 p.m.
Timothy Bullard, 20, of Cable was charged with
disorderly conduct after
a dispute with a neighbor on Milcrest Drive Thursday
at 8:20 p.m.

Thursday at 8:34 a.m. a
business on Corporate Boulevard at Industrial
Parkway reported the theft of a
John Deere 18-inch backhoe bucket, valued at $800.

According to police reports:
A weed trimmer was reported stolen from a
residence in the 500 block of
East Tenth Street Wednesday
evening.
Disorderly conduct charges are pending against a 14-year-old male
who
became unruly at 833 N. Maple St. Wednesday at 8:48 a.m.
Police are
investigating a possible child neglect situation, after a
victim in the 500
block of Surrey Lane called to report there has been
no food at the home for
four days, between Saturday and Wednesday.
According to sheriff's
reports:
Cash and various chocolate candy bars, valued at $120, were stolen
after
a business in the 21000 block of Main Street in Raymond was
forcibly
entered Wednesday at 8:54 a.m.
A resident on Pleasant Street
reported his unlocked garage was entered
and numerous power tools, cases and
food, valued at $505, were stolen
Wednesday at 2:08 p.m.
A resident
reported Wednesday at 7:06 p.m. that her 6 year-old daughter
playing in a
yard in the 25000 block of Storms Road was bitten by a dog,
said to be a pit
bull. The child was reportedly transported by medics to
Memorial Hospital of
Union County. The incident is under investigation.
Today at 1:19 a.m. a truck
driver reported that a driver was traveling
at very slow speeds, and weaving
all over the roadway on US 33 in the
westbound lanes. The car nearly ran him
off the roadway. Deputies
responded and Audrey A. Gutierrez, 31, of Columbus
was arrested for
operating a vehicle intoxicated, failure to stay in marked
lanes and slow speed.

According to police reports:
Assault charges are pending against a
12-year-old male who reportedly
shot a 10-year-old male in the face with a
pellet gun Monday at 7:45
p.m. The two were playing with the pellet guns in
the area of Lora Lee
and Patricia drives, when they began arguing. After it
was fired, the
pellet became lodged in the younger male's face, in the cheek
area. He
was transported to the Memorial Hospital of Union County emergency
room for care.
Charles Cook, 46, of Richwood was charged with failure to
control his
vehicle and operating a vehicle intoxicated after a traffic
crash
Tuesday at 9:30 p.m. Cook lost control while traveling on
Industrial
Parkway at Scottslawn Road and crashed into a guardrail.
Tony
Crabtree, 27, of 727 Milcrest Drive was arrested on assault
charges, after he
punched a female in the face three to four times,
during a dispute in the 600
block of Milcrest Drive Tuesday at 8:12 p.m.
Prescription drugs were
reported stolen from a business in the 700 block
of South Plum Street
sometime between Thursday and Tuesday.
A passenger door lock was damaged on a
car parked in the 600 block of
West Third Street Tuesday.
Charges are
pending after a 19-year-old female was possibly assaulted by
a 19-year-old
male suspect, at a gas station on East Fifth Street
Tuesday at 11:57
p.m.
Police are investigating a possible child abuse report, involving
a
5-year-old male and a 2-year-old male victims. The incident
allegedly
occurred sometime between May 11 and 13 in the 400 block of West
Third Street.
A city employee was injured after crashing a Marysville city
lawnmower
into a guardrail off of U.S. 33 Tuesday at 10 a.m. A police report
was
filed, which documented the damage to the guardrail.
Wal-Mart at
Coleman's Crossing Boulevard, reported four forged or
counterfeit checks
which were passed at the store sometime on May 8. The
incident is currently
under investigation.
According to sheriff's reports:
The window of a car
was shot with a BB gun sometime on Monday or Tuesday
in the New Dover Mobile
Home Park on U.S. 36.
Assault charges are under review after a man went
inside a residence in
the 13000 block of Pleasant Ridge Drive and grabbed
another male by the
neck and threatened him Tuesday at 10 p.m.
According
to OSP reports:
In a follow up to a Monday two-car crash in Dover Township,
further
information has been released on additional injured passengers and
how
the crash occurred.
Driver Richard L. Johnson, 63, of Marion was
stopped at a stop sign on
Dover County Line Road, heading south. As he
crossed U.S. 36, he pulled
into the path of driver Adria L. Huffman, 32, of
Ostrander. Inside her
vehicle were several people who suffered minor injuries
and were all
transported to Grady Memorial Hospital by Marysville medics.
Shannon
Ayers, 27, of Ostrander was injured; Kayle James, 2, of
Ostrander
suffered no visible injuries but was transported for possible
care;
Isaias Ayers, 4, of Ostrander was injured; and Austin Knapp, 5,
of
Ostrander was also transported. Johnson was cited for failure to
yield at a stop sign.
Benjamin Anderson, 26, of London was arrested for
operating a vehicle
intoxicated and driving under suspension after a traffic
stop on U.S. 42
at Herriott Road Tuesday at 8:17 p.m.

According to police reports:
A car was reportedly damaged by eggs thrown by
unknown suspects while
parked on Kenny Lane Monday at 2:53 p.m.
Dale E.
Tilton, 40, of Dayton was charged with menacing after
threatening a local
resident during a dispute over the phone Monday at 7 p.m.
David L. Klump,
20, of Plain City was arrested for operating a vehicle
intoxicated and
underage possession of alcohol after a traffic stop on
Milford Avenue Monday
at 9:18 p.m.
Bethanie Graves, 22, and Paul M. E. Wolford, 22, of 722 Collins
Ave.
were both cited for disorderly conduct after a dispute at
their
residence Monday at 11:58 p.m.
According to sheriff's
reports:
Numerous items of jewelry, valued at $675, were stolen from a home
in
the 15000 block of Harmon Patrick Road Monday at 7:19 p.m. Items
stolen
included necklaces, a pin and a family heirloom spoon from the
1800s.
The theft remains under investigation.
An 11-year-old male reported
that he was staying with two juvenile
friends in the 300 block of West Ottawa
Street in Richwood, sometime in
mid-April. That night the two friends
allegedly held down the
11-year-old male and burned his leg with a lighter.
The incident was
reported to deputies Monday at 7:21 p.m. and remains
under investigation.
5/22/06
According to police reports:
Marysville police are investigating the near
drowning report of a
7-month-old male that occurred Friday at 7:27 p.m.
According to reports,
the child fell over in the bath tub, while in a seat
for washing. An
adult was in the room at the same time and noticed the child
in time.
The child was transported to Memorial Hospital of Union County by
medics
and is reportedly going to recover. Doctors kept the child overnight
for
observation. The case remains under investigation.
Assault charges are
pending against a 16-year-old female who was
involved in a fight Friday at
6:17 p.m. on Dogwood Drive.
Unruly charges are pending against two
14-year-old males who were found
out past curfew Saturday at 2:19 a.m. in the
400 block of Parks Street.
Shane M. Gorslene, 29, of Columbus was arrested
for possession of drugs
after a traffic stop on East Fifth Street Saturday at
2:41 a.m.
Police are investigating a Saturday report at 4:45 p.m. of a
missing
15-year-old female from the 100 block of Hemlock Drive.
Charges
are pending against Steven D. Risner, 38, of 680 Allenby Drive
and Casey S.
Goff, 31, of 609 London Avenue for disorderly conduct after
a fight that took
place on Main Street near Fifth Street Saturday night.

Eickemeyer, 44, of East Liberty was arrested for operating a
vehicle
intoxicated and disorderly conduct after a traffic stop on North
Main Street

Avenue

A woman reported cash and medication were
stolen from her while visiting
a friend in the 100 block of Aspen Drive

A man reported money was missing from his wallet which he
had stored in
a locker room at the YMCA Sunday at 5:30 p.m.

Simpson, 42, of Watkins Glen Boulevard was arrested on an
outstanding warrant
out of Marysville Municipal Court Sunday at 7 p.m.
Police are investigating a
23-year-old female for possible unauthorized
use of a motor vehicle. A car
was reported missing from a residence in
the 500 block of North Main Street
Friday at 8:15 a.m.
Marysville High School reported finding alcohol on a
16-year-old male
student Friday at 10 a.m. Charges were filed against the
student for
underage possession of alcohol.
According to sheriff's
reports:
Deputies are investigating an assault report that occurred in the
10000
block of Jerome Road Sunday at 2:46 a.m. The report initially came in
as
a possible stabbing, which allegedly happened during an argument
between
two family members. The first report stated a female may have
stabbed
her brother in the head with a knife. Medics were called to the
scene
and Columbus Police Department later found the female suspect at
her
residence in Columbus.
It was then discovered that there were
conflicting stories to the
assault. The male victim may have been punched
above the right eye by
his brother-in-law. The punch may have caused the
laceration, not a
knife. The assault remains under investigation.
Mark M.
Simmons, 22, of Columbus was arrested for operating a vehicle
intoxicated
Saturday at 2:56 a.m. after a traffic stop on Route 31 south
of Yearsley
Road.
A business in the 7000 block of Route 161 reported breaking and
entering
that occurred sometime between Friday at 5 p.m. and Saturday at
7:52
a.m. Cash was reported missing from an office.
A business in the 7000
block of Commerce Place reported breaking and
entering that occurred sometime
between Friday at 5 p.m. and Saturday at
8:40 a.m. Cash and a safe were
reported stolen, adding up to a $4,500 loss.
Breaking and entering
reportedly occurred between Friday at 5 p.m. and
Saturday at 7:40 a.m. at a
business in the 8200 block of Estates
Parkway. Cash was reported
stolen.
Criminal damaging was reported after two windows were discovered
broken
out on a vacant home in the 26000 block of Storms Road sometime
between
Thursday at 5 p.m. and Saturday at 11 a.m.

According to police reports:
Burglary was reported Thursday at 7:35 a.m.
after a business in the 400
block of North Main Street was broken into and
someone removed a small
amount of cash. The incident is currently under
investigation.
Roosevelt Irby, 51, of 126 N. Main St. apt. 8, was arrested
and charged
with possession of drug paraphernalia after he was found behind
a
business in the 200 block of North Main Street today at 1:40 a.m.
A
resident in the 400 block of East Ninth Street reported her
prescription
medication and driver's license were stolen sometime on Sunday.
Thursday
at 5:51 p.m. a business in the 800 block of Delaware Avenue
reported a man
attempted to cash a money order for an amplifier sold
over the Internet. The
money order was discovered to be fraudulent.
An 11-year-old female was
reportedly verbally abused by a 12-year-old
male while on a school bus
Thursday at 3:51 p.m. The incident is under investigation.
A 12-year-old
male student reportedly was found carrying a knife while
at the Marysville
Middle School Thursday at 1:40 p.m. No charges have
been filed at this
time.
A 16-year-old male was charged with criminal trespassing and
disorderly
conduct after he used a public address system at a business in the
1000
block of North Main Street to communicate a vulgar message Wednesday
at 5 p.m.
A resident on Butternut Drive reported Thursday at 10:47 a.m.
that she
sold her car to another female, but could not cash the check due
to insufficient funds.
Two bicycles were found in a yard in the 400 block
of Damascus Drive
Thursday at 8:25 a.m.
According to sheriff's
reports:
Thursday at 5:29 p.m. a resident in the 8000 block of Sheiderer
Road
found his home had been forcibly entered. Unknown suspects had kicked
in
the rear glass door, then rummaged through the entire residence.
Items
stolen included cash, gift certificates and an unknown amount
of
prescription medication. The stolen items were valued at $250 and
no
estimate has been made for damage to the home.

One person was injured in a two-car crash in Jerome Township
Thursday at
10:32 p.m. Borislav Todorov Kostov, 30, of Dublin was reportedly
headed
eastbound on Industrial Parkway at Weldon Road when he failed to
yield
at the posted stop sign and was struck by driver Angela L. Ribble,
24,
of Dublin who was headed southbound on Industrial parkway. Both
cars
left the road, striking the guardrails. Ribble was injured in the
crash
and transported by Jerome Township medics to Riverside
Methodist Hospital.

According to police reports:
Emilie L. Smith, 26, of Plain City was arrested
Wednesday at 4:23 a.m.
for criminal damaging after allegedly breaking a door
in the 800 block
of Watkins Glen Boulevard.
A resident in the 500 block of
West Ninth Street reported that her home
was forcibly entered by her
estranged husband Wednesday at 1:49 a.m. The
man allegedly assaulted the
female and left the scene before police were
notified. An arrest warrant has
been issued for Patrick M. Novotney, 32,
of Dublin for violation of a
protection order.
Bonnie Durst, 46, of 178 Willow Drive was arrested for
domestic violence
after she allegedly became abusive toward her spouse
Wednesday at 12:50 a.m.
Michael D. Shreve, 39, of 203 Chestnut St. was
arrested for domestic
violence after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend
Wednesday at 10:25 p.m.
A 14-year-old female was reportedly punched in the
forehead by her
father during a domestic incident Wednesday at 5:51 p.m. The
report is under investigation.
Krista A. Thatcher, 27, of 24155 Yearsley
Road was arrested for
possession of drugs in the 100 block of Cottonwood
Drive Wednesday at5:02 p.m.
A 13-year-old male student was arrested at
the Marysville Middle School
Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. for juvenile tobacco
use.
The Marysville Municipal Court reported receiving a payment for
a
traffic citation, which included invalid insurance information.
The
dates of coverage on the insurance card appeared to have been
altered.
The incident was reported Wednesday at 10:44 a.m. and is
under investigation.
According to sheriff's reports:
On Monday a
Central Ohio Youth Center corrections officer in the 1800
block of Route 4,
reported being kicked by a 17-year-old male inmate
from London. Officers were
reportedly trying to restrain the male from
harming himself. The juvenile
male also claims that he was struck by an
officer during the incident. The
report remains under investigation.
Numerous checks were reported stolen from
a residence in the 28000 block
of Kinney Pike Wednesday at 7:48 p.m. Three of
those checks were
discovered to have been forged and cashed for $345. It was
also
discovered that unauthorized long distance telephone calls had been
made
from the home, totaling $48.26. A 31-year-old male suspect, who had
been
doing odd jobs at the home, is current suspected and charges
are pending.
Prescription medication was reported stolen from a residence
in the
25000 block of Storms Road Wednesday at 10:38 p.m.

Jessie Hall, 23, of 231 Ash St. was arrested today at 2:26 a.m.
for
operating a vehicle intoxicated after a traffic stop on Collins
Avenue
at Maple Ridge Road.

According to police reports:
Jeremy G. Ray, 25, of 600 W. Fifth St. was
arrested Tuesday at 1 p.m. on
an outstanding warrant out of Logan County, for
failure to appear in
court on drug paraphernalia charges.
A television and
a VCR were reported stolen from a shed in the 100 block
of Mulberry Street,
sometime between April 21 and 23.
Four bags of hardwood mulch were reported
stolen from a residence in the
900 block of Milford Avenue sometime on
Tuesday.
A business in the 800 block of Coleman's Crossing reported that $450
in
cash was stolen from a deposit. Tiffany M. Begley, 23, of 15730 Route
36
was arrested and charged with the theft.
Credit cards and
identification cards were reported stolen from an
employee's wallet at a
business in the 1100 block of Delaware Avenue Tuesday at 8 p.m.
According
to sheriff's reports:
Unruly and vandalism charges are pending against a
13-year-old Delaware
male. Tuesday at around noon, the male started yelling,
swearing, broke
a table while standing on it and threw chairs around a room
in the 1800
block of Delaware County Line Road.
A woman in the 17000 block
of Bearswamp Road reported Tuesday that she
had loaned her car to a
21-year-old male for 12 hours on Monday. A day
later the vehicle had not been
returned. The car was reportedly
recovered in Columbus sometime around 3 a.m.
today.
Sonny J. Takacs, 28, of West Liberty was arrested for driving
under
suspension, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of
marijuana
after speeding on Long Road in Millcreek Township Tuesday at 7:59
a.m.
A large blue 90-gallon Allied Waste trash bin was reported stolen
from
the 14000 block of Pleasant Ridge Road sometime between Friday
and Sunday.
The Jerome Township Fire Department was called to the 9200
block of
Watkins Road after a CO2 canister, with a wick was found in a mail
box.
The mail carrier reported the device Tuesday at 1 p.m. No explosion
had
occurred and the object was removed by firemen.

Burglary was reported Monday at 9:17 a.m. after
unknown suspects entered
a home and took a purse in the 900 block of North
Maple Street.
Several bad checks, in excess of $5,000, were written off of a
closed
bank account. The crime was reported by a construction business in
the
700 block of Milford Avenue Monday at 8:44 a.m.
An electronic devise
and money were reported stolen from a vehicle
parked in the 600 block of
Parkway Drive Monday at 7:53 a.m.
Michael A. Lee, 40, of 548 N. Main St. was
arrested on an outstanding
warrant and is under investigation for drug abuse,
after a prescription
medication was found in his possession Monday at 10:30
p.m.
Window screens were reportedly damaged on a business in the 600 block
of
Milford Avenue Monday at 12:45 p.m.
A business in the 15000 block of
U.S. 36 reported Monday at 12:18 p.m.
that leased merchandise was stolen,
according to a lease agreement. The
same business reported a second similar
incident involving store
merchandise. Both incidents are now under
investigation.
Monday at 9:55 a.m. prescription medication was reported
stolen from an
employee's purse at a business in the 1100 block of Delaware
Avenue.

Deputies are investigating a
reported sexual assault, involving a
16-year-old female victim and a
20-year-old male. The alleged crime is
believed to have occurred on May 8 in
the 13000 block of Pleasant Ridge Drive.
Prescription medication was
reported stolen from inside a residence in
the 22000 block of Rapp Dean Road
on Monday, sometime between 9:30 a.m. and 8:44 p.m.
A resident in the
22000 block of Holycross-Epps Road reported that

collided. Hebert was injured, along with
her passenger Anthony K. Peck, 25,
of Bellefontaine. Both were
transported by MedFlight to Grant Medical
Hospital. Orahood was not
injured, and was cited for failure to yield on a
left hand turn.

Two golf carts were

Two people were
injured in a crash Sunday in Taylor Township. At 3:15
p.m. Donald R. Lowe,
80, of 209 Fairfield Ave. was headed southbound on
Route 4 when he reportedly
fell asleep at the wheel. The car went off
the left side of the road and
struck a ditch. His passenger, Wanita R.
Lowe, 77, of the same address was
also injured. Donald was transported
by Marysville medics to Memorial
Hospital of Union County. Wanita was
transported by MedFlight to Ohio State
University Hospital.
Two people were injured in a one-car crash Friday at
9:19 p.m. in
Liberty Township. Driver Lauren A. Kleiber, 18, of Richwood
was
reportedly headed southeast on Raymond Road at Route 347, when she
went
off the left side of the road and struck a tree. She was transported
by
MedFlight to Ohio State University Hospital. Passenger, Brent Wells,
who
name and address were not listed, was injured and transported
to
Memorial Hospital of Union County.

responding to a different call in the 27000 block of Route 37, when

juvenile passed in his vehicle. A sound similar to gun shots was
heard
and the officer pursued. Charges for possession of drug
paraphernalia are also pending.
A hitch from a vehicle, valued at $100,
was stolen sometime over the
weekend in the 23000 block of North Darby Coe
Road.
According to OSP reports:
A horse was killed and a vehicle driver
seriously injured after a
one-car crash on Route 739 Tuesday at 11:25
p.m.
Driver Gary Lentz, 55, of Richwood, was headed westbound on Route 739
at
Winnemac Road, when he struck a horse in the roadway. The
collision
caused serious injuries to Lentz, who was transported by
medical
helicopter to Grant Medical Hospital in Columbus. The vehicle
was
severely damaged. The horse, owned by Paige Witte on Route
739,
reportedly died upon impact.
Tuesday at 4:45 p.m. a two-car crash on
U.S. 36 resulted in two injured people.
Driver Brian Cocker, 51, of
Urbana, was headed south on U.S. 36. Driver
Mary Kerns, 51, of Urbana, was
headed north on U.S. 36, when she went
left of center and struck Cocker's
car. Both cars went off the roadway,
with Cocker heading to the right and
striking a culvert. Kerns' vehicle
hit a ditch off the left side of the road.
Cocker was transported with
serious injuries to Memorial Hospital of Union
County by Union Township
medics and Kerns was taken to the same hospital by
Marysville medics
with serious injuries.
