8/31/07
According to police reports:
George P. York, 41, of 109 Papaya Drive was
arrested Thursday at 8:24
a.m. for disorderly conduct/intoxication. York was
reportedly found
unsteady on his feet and urinating in public on North Cherry
Street.
Someone reportedly stole an AM/FM/CB radio from a car parked on the
lot
of a business in the 16000 block of Square Drive, sometime
over Wednesday night.
A resident in the 900 block of West Fifth Street
reported Thursday at 7
p.m. that her 13-year-old son had run away and is
missing. The male was
last believed to be in Champaign County.
According
to sheriff's reports:
Brandon Edward Sharrlock, 22, of 117 W. Third St. was
arrested Wednesday
at 10:25 a.m. for possession of marijuana. He was the
passenger of a
vehicle pulled over for speeding.
Larry E. Kuhlwein, 44, of
8579 Long Road was cited for failure to
confine his dog, after the animal bit
a neighbor as he was jogging by
Wednesday at 9:08 p.m.
Vandalism was
reported Thursday at 8:34 p.m. from a resident in the
24000 block of Davis
Road. A man said that the same moment a friend cast
his fishing line, the
back window of his car shattered. He claimed that
an unknown person may have
shot the window out.
A woman reported that her car was keyed along its entire
side, which
occurred sometime between Tuesday and Thursday in the 10000 block
of Carmel Drive.

According to police reports:
Two teenage males were arrested Wednesday for
breaking into cars and
then running from police. Lee Dennis, 19, of 390
Chestnut St. was
arrested for obstructing official business, vehicle
trespassing and
theft. In addition, Adam Tignor, 19, of 22437 Springdale Road
was
arrested for possession of criminal tools, theft and
obstructing
official business. At 4:12 a.m. Wednesday police witnessed the
two
attempting to break into a car parked in the 300 block of South
Court
Street. The two fled and were later caught in the area of West
Coast
Video at Plum and Eighth streets.
The police department's canine
unit assisted the Union County Sheriff's
Office with a traffic stop on Route
4 at Route 161 Wednesday at 10:40
a.m. The suspect was found in possession of
marijuana and sheriff's
deputies issued the citation.
Michelle A. Trout,
38, of 207 Woodcrest Drive was arrested for driving
under non-compliance
suspension, 12-point suspension and failure to
reinstate after a court
suspension after a traffic stop on Grove Street
Wednesday at 1:29 p.m.
A
resident in the 200 block of Greenwood Boulevard reported someone cut
her
phone line Wednesday.
A resident in the 300 block of South Plum Street
reported that someone
came to his rental property and stole $200-$250 worth
of flowers Wednesday.
Thomas E. Gordon, 33, 236 Cypress Drive was arrested
for assault after a
fight with a woman Wednesday at 9:35 p.m.
According to
sheriff's reports:
Steven B. Arthur, 38, of 24928 Storms Road was arrested
for physical
control of a vehicle and driving under suspension Wednesday at
6:04 a.m.
Deputies found Arthur asleep in the back seat of his car, which he
had
parked facing eastbound in the westbound lanes on Amrine Wood Road.
The
keys were still in the ignition.
A resident in the 27000 block of
Route 739 reported someone withdrew $32
from his bank account
Wednesday.
Charges for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle are pending after
a
resident in the 7400 block of Industrial Parkway loaned a $12,000 car
to
another person on June 15 and the car has not been returned.

According to police reports:
A 14-year-old female was arrested for theft
Tuesday at 4:15 p.m. after
she was found with a diaper bag full of stolen
DVDs, candles and other
merchandise at a business in the 500 block of
Coleman's Crossing
Boulevard. She was taken to the Central Ohio Youth
Center.
Police arrested John T. Salyers, 27, of 517 Amrine Mill Road Tuesday
at
7:30 p.m. on Wind Mill Drive for an outstanding warrant. After
Salyers
was transported for the arrest, police found an amount of
possible
cocaine in the back of the cruiser. The possible drug abuse charges
are
being investigated.
The cash contents of a water bottle were stolen
from a home in a
burglary that occurred in the 1000 block of London Avenue
sometime
between Friday and Saturday.
Terri Giles, 36, of 925 W. Fifth St.
was arrested on an outstanding
warrant issued by Champaign County Tuesday at
5 p.m.
Shonda L. Stewart, 37, of Bucyrus was arrested for driving
under
suspension and with an expired operator's license after a traffic
stop
on West Fifth Street Tuesday at 6:21 p.m.
A resident of West Fifth
Street reported that his wedding ring was
stolen, after he took it off to
swim at a pool in the 600 block of
Watkins Glen Court Tuesday. When he
returned from swimming the ring was missing.
On Tuesday at 8 p.m. police
responded to a dispute in the 500 block of
Meadows Drive, involving an
argument between a mother and her
17-year-old daughter. The mother allegedly
made threats of violence to
the daughter. The case is being sent to the
Department of Human Services for review.

Deputies responded to the 23000 block of Bear Swamp Road for a
possible
accidental overdose Tuesday at 3:50 p.m.

was arrested for operating
a vehicle intoxicated, high blood alcohol
concentration and driving
outside of marked lanes after a traffic stop on

Scottslawn Road Sunday at 12:33 a.m.
Lance
Lipperman, 20, of West Jefferson was arrested Sunday at 2:30 a.m.
on Route
161 at Industrial Parkway after driving while intoxicated, and
receiving a
license plate light violation.
Carl Gray, 59, of London was arrested for
operating a vehicle
intoxicated and driving under suspension after a traffic
stop on U.S. 36
at Homer Road Sunday at 2:06 a.m.
Rachele Battaglia, 32,
of White Hall was arrested for possession of a
marijuana after a traffic stop
on U.S. 33 westbound at U.S. 36.
Steven Morse, 52, of Columbus was arrested
for operating a vehicle
intoxicated, driving with an open container of
alcohol, and possession
of drug paraphernalia after a traffic s top Saturday
at 1:48 a.m. on an
unspecified roadway.
Daniel Shook, 45, of 279 Longwood
Place was arrested for operating a
vehicle intoxicated, driving with an open
container of alcohol and lane
violations after a traffic stop on Route 38 at
Timber Trails Monday at 2 a.m.
Deputies were called to Main Street in
Broadway Sunday at 6:56 p.m. for
a reported burglary. An intoxicated man was
threatening to assault
another man over the theft of $423 from his apartment.
The man suspected
of the burglary was questioned and the incident remains
under
investigation. No charges were filed.
According to police
reports:
One man was injured after apparently suffering a heart attack
while
driving. Sunday at 1:10 p.m. Robert J. Maxwell, 57, of 24351 Rapp
dean
Road was headed down West Fifth Street between Mary Lee and Lee
place
roads, when he went off the right side of the roadway and
crashed.
Maxwell was transported for medical treatment to Memorial Hospital
of Union County.
Charges are pending against a 17-year-old female who was
found in
possession of prescription drugs that were not prescribed to her
Monday at 11:12 a.m.
A cell phone and charger were stolen out of a car
parked in the 300
block of Eagle Court Monday.
A rental property in the
200 block of West Third Street was reportedly
damaged Monday.
According to
OSP reports:
Three people were injured in a serious one-car crash Sunday at 5
a.m.
Driver Derek Dukes, 29, of Columbus was headed southeast on U.S. 33
at
Route 4 when he failed to negotiate a curve and went off the right
side
of the road. The car went down an embankment, overturned and struck
a
tree before stopping. Dukes was seriously injured and MedFlighted
to
Ohio State University Hospital.
Both passengers Shakeena Dixon, 23, of
Columbus and Virginia Peaks, 24,
of Columbus were ejected during the crash.
Dixon was transported to
Memorial Hospital of Union County for serious
injuries and Peaks was
MedFlighted to Ohio State University Hospital for
serious injuries No
one in the vehicle was reportedly wearing seat
belts.
Troopers suspect alcohol was a factor in the crash and charges
are
currently under investigation. Troopers also reported that the
victim
lay injured for more than an hour before someone noticed the crash
and
notified authorities.

According to sheriff's reports:
Deputies responded to a call on Reed Street
in Milford Center at 4:09
p.m., Wednesday. The reporting party said an
altercation took place
about 4:30 a.m. that day between a boyfriend and a
girlfriend. No
charges were filed. A report has been submitted to the
prosecutors for
an opinion on possible charges.
Rosemary Alderson, 65, of
25984 Route 31, and Vernon A. Alderson, 87, of
25984 Route 31, were both
cited for disorderly conduct Friday at 10:44
p.m. Units were dispatched to
the couple's home in response to a
domestic altercation. The incident
occurred in response to an alleged
affair 40 years ago.
Martin G. Carter,
44, of 536 W. Fourth St., in Marysville, was arrested
for failure to comply
with the order or signal of a police officer,
operating a vehicle
intoxicated, speeding and failure to stay in marked
lanes. The defendant was
traveling on Route 347, just west of Yearsley
Road, when he was clocked going
67 miles per hour in a 55 zone. A deputy
followed the man with lights and
siren on.
The suspect ignored the deputy's attempt to pull him over. Carter
pulled
his car into a campground and appeared to be attempting to elude
the
deputy. Ultimately, Carter stopped the car and began to flee on
foot,
ignoring multiple verbal commands to stop.
The deputy deployed his
Taser. Carter complied with all subsequent
orders of the deputy. The suspect
was transported to the Tri-County
Regional Jail in Mechanicsburg.
Nicholas
A. Robinson, 19, of 1096 Rosewood Drive, in Marysville, was
arrested for
operating a vehicle intoxicated. The suspect was traveling
on U.S. 33, east
of U.S. 36, in excess of the posted speed limit. A
deputy followed the
vehicle and noticed the driver was traveling inside
the marked lanes. A stop
was initiated and concluded without incident.

It was reported Friday at 1:13 p.m. that a vehicle on Cottonwood
Drive
was "egged" sometime overnight Thursday.
A resident in the 300 block
of Terrace Drive reported Friday at 3 p.m.
that someone had used her credit
card information.
Parents reported Friday at 3:25 p.m. a possible sexual
relationship
between a 16-year-old daughter and 24-year-old male. The case is
under investigation.
A 16-year-old female was reported to have been
assaulted in the 500
block of Surrey Lane between 6 and 7 p.m. Friday. The
case is under investigation.
Pills and drug paraphernalia were found in a
vehicle after a traffic
stop on Route 31 Saturday at 1:31 a.m. No charges
were filed.
Stacy L. Chenault, 32, of Plain City, was charged with menacing
Saturday
at 5:43 p.m. after making threats toward another female in the 200
block
of West Third Street.
Joseph Gardner, 28, of 16729 Wheeler-Green
Road, was cited Sunday at
2:04 a.m. for having an open container in a public
place in the 100
block of North Main Street.
Christy L. Hecker, 39, of 545
Amrine Mill Road, was arrested for OVI,
marked lanes and open container after
a traffic stop on North Cherry
Street Sunday at 2:16 a.m.
Sunday at 6:49
a.m., a resident in the 900 block of Milford Avenue
reported the theft of a
truck, show car and trailer between 11 p.m.
Saturday and 6:40 a.m. Sunday.
The vehicles stolen include a red 2003
Dodge Ram pickup and a red 2000 Dodge
Durango on a black trailer.
Criminal damage was reported Sunday at 9:27 a.m.
in the 500 block of
West Ninth Street by a resident. Words were scratched
into the paint of
a vehicle sometime after midnight Saturday.
Sunday at
9:27 a.m., a resident in the 500 block of Meadows Drive
reported damage to
his vehicle following a dispute with his wife.
A resident in the 400 block of
Allenby Drive reported Sunday at 12:30
p.m. that someone is writing checks
against his or her account.
A purse was stole out of either a cart or an
unlocked vehicle in the 800
block of Coleman's Crossing, it was reported
Sunday at 12:44 p.m.
A bicycle was reported stolen in the 600 block of
Meadowns Drive Sunday at 2:14 p.m.
Units responded to the 500 block of
Allenby Drive, on a report of
menacing. About 4:16 p.m. Sunday, a pizza
delivery man reported that he
was blocked into a parking space and
threatened. The case remains under investigation.
Robert Maxwell, 57, of
Raymond, was driving in the 700 block of W. Fifth
St., about 1:10 p.m.
Sunday, when he apparently suffered a heart attack,
went off the right side
of the road and struck a tree.
A motorcycle reported stolen out of Delaware
County was recovered in the
200 block of W. Third Street. The matter remains
under investigation.

According to police reports:
The possible sexual abuse of a 7-year-old female
was reported Thursday
at 12:30 p.m. The Union County Department of Children's
Services is
investigating the incident which may have occurred on or about
June 1.
One person was injured in a crash Thursday at 7 p.m. Driver Lance
A.
Predmore, 31, of 935 Watkins Glen Blvd., was headed down Watkins
Road
when he lost control and went off the right side of the road, struck
a
ditch and then struck a utility pole. Predmore was injured in the
crash
and transported by Marysville medics to Memorial Hospital of
Union
County. He was cited for failure to control his vehicle.
David A.
Murphy, 28, 546 Meadows Drive, was arrested Thursday at 3:51
p.m. and charged
with domestic violence after a fight with his wife and
12-year-old
stepson.
Identity theft was reported after a resident in the 900 block of
Collins
Avenue discovered Thursday that someone opened a checking account in
her
name and used her personal information.
A 17-year-old male was
arrested for assaulting his brother in the 400
block of Allenby Drive
Thursday at 9:16 p.m.
A resident in the 200 block of West Third Street
reported Thursday at
10:27 p.m. that a female neighbor threw an empty pop can
over the fence,
which struck him. No charges were filed.
Joshua A.
Schlosser, 25, of 726 Watkins Glen Blvd., was arrested and
charged with
domestic violence after a fight with his wife Thursday at 10:58 p.m.
A
resident in the 1200 block of Pepper Lane reported that an unknown
person
stole a debit card and military ID from his car parked at the
home Thursday
night.
Maurice S. Hopkins, 28, of 597 Kenny Lane, was charged with
possession
of drugs after a traffic stop on Allenby Drive today at 1:29 a.m.
He was
found carrying marijuana.
According to sheriff's reports:
A
mailbox was set on fire today at 1:30 a.m. in the 26000 block of Sandusky
Road.
A total of $500 in scrap metal was stolen from a property in the
7000
block of Commerce Place Wednesday night.
Theft and vandalism were
reported Wednesday after iron chandeliers and
two silk trees were stolen and
a steel planter was damaged Wednesday.
An 18-year-old female reported she was
inappropriately touched by an
adult male in a gross sexual imposition report
she filed Aug. 17, which
allegedly occurred on Zook Road.
A total of 50
bales of hay valued at $300 was stolen from the 7000 block
of Currier Road
Tuesday night.

According to police reports:
Police are investigating the possible suicide of
a 53-year-old man who
lived in the 600 block of Kenny Lane. The man was found
deceased in his
apartment Wednesday at 6:27 p.m. A preliminary investigation
revealed
possible suicide, as the man had apparently cut his wrists. The
incident
remains under investigation in conjunction with the Union
County
Sheriff's Office. The Bureau of Identification and
Investigation
assisted Marysville Police at the scene.
Charges are pending
against two juveniles, a 16-year-old male from
Richwood and a 17-year-old
male from Marysville, for underage
consumption of alcohol after they were
found in the 1000 block of
Milford Avenue today at 3:05 a.m.
The windows
were reportedly broken out of a car parked in the 1000 block
of Columbus
Avenue, as reported Wednesday at 10 p.m.
A 20-year-old male in the 200 block
of Cypress Drive reported that he
wanted to kill himself Wednesday at about 8
p.m. The man was transported
to Memorial Hospital of Union County for
evaluation.
A resident in the 500 block of Watkins Glen Lane reported
burglary after
discovering someone entered the apartment and stole a TV and
Nintendo
game system Wednesday.
A woman in the 100 block of East Eighth
Street reportedly ingested
prescription drugs in an attempt to harm herself
Wednesday at 3:19 p.m.
Vandalism was reported Wednesday at 2:36 p.m. after a
man allegedly
caused damages after punching a woman's car with his fist
during an argument.
The theft of $120 was reported by a business in the
300 block of East
Fifth Street Wednesday. The theft related to an unpaid
bill.
According to sheriff's reports:
Harold Joe Hall, 32, of 13134 Route
347, was charged with domestic
violence, assault and resisting arrest after
an incident at his home
Wednesday at 12:29 a.m. Hall allegedly punched his
wife in the head
several times while she was holding their 1-year-old child.
During his
arrest, Hall pulled away from officers as he was being handcuffed
and
then kicked a deputy in the thigh. Charges are also pending
for
endangering children and aggravated menacing.
Two incidents occurred
at the same property in the 26000 block of Route
4 this week. On Aug. 16
deputies were called to the property for
possible criminal trespassing and
menacing after a neighbor saw
juveniles pull into the property with the
intent to urinate. When
approached, the juveniles allegedly made verbal
threats to the man.
On Tuesday deputies were called back to the property for
a theft in
progress, after the neighbor witnessed a woman drive onto the
property
and begin loading her truck with items. The theft remains
under investigation.

Today at 12:55 a.m.
Arthur Taylor Jr., 35, of North Lewisburg, was
arrested for operating a
vehicle intoxicated and failure to control his
vehicle after a crash on Route
245. He was reportedly headed west in a
1997 Plymouth Breeze when he lost
control at a curve and went off the
right side of the roadway. He struck a
ditch and crashed, receiving
minor visible injuries. Taylor did not require
medical attention.

According to police reports:
Keith A. Cornelius, 35, of 548 N. Main St. Lot
193, was arrested for
operating a vehicle intoxicated and super blood alcohol
concentration
after a traffic stop on North Main Street at Pearse Drive
Tuesday at 1:38 a.m.
The manager of a mobile home park reported that
someone spray painted
words on the side of an empty house in the 100 block of
Northcrest Drive Tuesday.
A black leather wallet was found at a business
in the 200 block of
Stocksdale Drive Tuesday.
A woman reported her purse
was stolen while shopping at a business in
the 400 block of Coleman's
Crossing Boulevard Tuesday. The purse
contained $200 in cash, a checkbook,
glasses and other items.
A car accident occurred at the intersection of Fifth
and Main streets
Tuesday at 8:11 p.m. Reportedly, one driver attempted to get
the other
driver to pull over, get out of his car and engage in a fight.
No
charges were listed.
Joshua M. Durst, 19, of 178 Willow Drive, was
arrested in the 900 block
of Delaware Avenue on an outstanding warrant for
probation violation
Tuesday at 9:30 p.m.
Unauthorized use of a motor
vehicle was reported after a resident in the
700 block of Milcrest Drive
claimed that his child's mother took his
green 1997 Chevy truck without
permission and also stole $10 from his
wallet today at 12:33 a.m. The car was
later returned.
Brian P. Smith, 21, of Pleasant Ridge Road, was arrested
today at 4:20
a.m. and charged with persistent disorderly conduct after an
incident in
the 300 block of North Cherry Street. Smith had been ordered to
leave a
property and not come back. He ultimately returned to the house and
was arrested.

Joshua W. Henderson, 27,
of Unionville Center, was arrested for domestic
violence after allegedly
shoving his girlfriend during an argument on
West Main Street in Unionville
Center Tuesday at 11 a.m.
A purse was reportedly stolen from a car parked in
the 32000 block of
Water Street in Essex sometime between Saturday and
Monday.
A total of $21,000 in stainless steel items was stolen from a
property
in the 8000 block of Memorial Drive sometime between Aug. 6 and
Tuesday.

According to police reports:
A resident in the 600 block of West Third Street
reported Monday that
the rear window of a car was broken out.
Numerous
items were stolen from a car parked in the 1200 block of
Creekview Drive
Monday.
A Northwest Parkway resident reported that his unlocked bike was
stolen
from outside the Marysville Public Library Monday.
Monday at 2:51
p.m. two males were seen leaving private property at
Producers on Route 4, as
reported by a resident in the 100 block of Elwood Avenue.
Sometime over
Sunday night someone spray painted the headlights on a
vehicle in the 100
block of Northcrest Drive.
A 14-year-old female was arrested for unruliness
Monday at 7:47 p.m. She
had left home without permission to an unknown place
and returned home late in the evening.
Charges are pending against Michael
E. Moss, 40, of Richwood, after he
reportedly slapped his wife in the face
and attempted to hit a man while
at Waffle House on Square Drive Monday at
11:55 p.m.
According to sheriff's reports:
A woman reportedly threatened
suicide during a call to deputies from the
Wal-Mart parking lot on U.S. 36
Sunday at 3 p.m. Deputies arrived at the
location and convinced the woman to
check herself into Memorial Hospital
of Union County for care.
Marijuana
and drug paraphernalia were found in an apartment closet in
the 30000 block
of Rausch Road. The items were perhaps left behind by
the previous tenant, it
was reported. Deputies investigated the incident
Monday at 1:12
p.m.
According to OSP reports:
Gary Huff, 37, of Plain City, was injured
after a crash Saturday at 8:26
a.m. on Hawn Road. Huff was reportedly headed
northeast on Hawn Road
when he lost control and went off the right side of
the roadway, struck
a guard rail and then went off the left side of the road.
His car struck
a tree. Huff was transported to Riverside Methodist Hospital
by Pleasant
Valley medics and was cited for failure to control his
vehicle.

According to police reports:
Two people were injured in a one-car crash
Sunday at 11:42 a.m.
Donald N. Starr, 58, of Dublin, was headed north on
Route 31 at the on
ramp for U.S. 33 when he lost control and struck a
guardrail on the
right side of the road. The collision caused the vehicle to
roll onto
its driver's side and stop. Starr was injured, as well as his
passenger,
Jacob Starr, 12, of the same address. Both were transported
by
Marysville medics to Memorial Hospital of Union County.
Kevin Hamilton,
27, of 122 S. Walnut St. Apt. A, was arrested on an
outstanding warrant
Friday at 6:34 a.m.
Shanequah L. Gaiter, 27, of Columbus, was arrested for
driving under an
FRA suspension and speeding after a traffic stop on North
Main Street
between First and Second streets Friday at 12:32 p.m.
A bike
was stolen from a property in the 100 block of Tulip Drive Friday.
A woman
claimed her driver's license was stolen from her purse in the
20000 block of
Northwest Parkway Friday afternoon.
A resident in the 600 block of East
Fourth Street reported that she
participated in a secret shopper program and
then received a bad check
from the company Friday.
A business in the 1000
block of West Fifth Street reported that two men
tried to buy $200 in meat
with a check that they did not have permission
to use Friday.

11:36 p.m.
Jeffrey L. Adkins, 38, of 304 N. Cherry St. apt. 10, was arrested
for
open container after a traffic stop on U.S. 33 eastbound at
Scottslawn
Road Saturday at 12:25 a.m.
A 47-year-old man in the 200 block
of Greenwood Boulevard attempted
suicide by taking 15 Xanax, drinking a case
and a half of beer and
smoking marijuana Saturday at 12:44 a.m. He was
transported to Memorial
Hospital of Union County by medics.
Jason A. Lee,
30, of Blacklick, was arrested for disorderly conduct
after fighting at a
business in the 900 block of Columbus Avenue
Saturday at 1:02 a.m.
A
resident in the 600 block of Chestnut Drive reported money was stolen
from
his home Saturday.
Austin B. Riesenbeck, 18, of 416 Caddie Drive, was
arrested for
possession of drugs Saturday at 2:13 a.m.
Larry E. Riesinger
II, 24, of 22976 Raymond Road, was arrested Saturday
at 2:42 a.m. for
possession of an open container of alcohol.
A resident in the 300 block of
West Fifth Street reported that his truck
was stolen from outside his
apartment. It was later learned that the
Delaware Ohio State Highway Patrol
Post had the car towed from
Interstate 270 at U.S. 23N for being an
obstruction and a road hazard Saturday.
The screen and metal front door on
a house were damaged with spray paint
Saturday in the 1000 block of
Cloverknoll Court.
Michelle L. Pletcher, 30, and Brian J. Tarleton, 24, both
of Richwood,
were arrested for public indecency after having sexual relations
in a
parked car at Fourth and Plum streets in Marysville Sunday at 6:40
a.m.
A purse was stolen from a car left unlocked in the 200 block of
North
Cherry Street Sunday.

According to sheriff's
reports:
On Friday a resident in the 18000 block of Whitestone Road
discovered a
white coon dog on his property, with two bullet wounds in the
chest.
James Scott Boyles, 19, of 7510 Wells Road in Plain City, was cited
for
having fictitious license plates, operating a vehicle
intoxicated,
possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after a traffic
stop on
Highland Croy at Post Road Sunday at 2:03 a.m.
Rachel Batchelder,
31, of 1073 Watkins Road, was arrested for operating
a vehicle intoxicated
Saturday at 12:30 a.m. An off-duty Ohio State
Highway Patrol trooper pulled
Batchelder over after witnessing her go
off the roadway at U.S. 33 at
Scottslawn Road.
Terry E. South, 46, of 20398 Orchard Road, was arrested for
domestic
violence Friday at 12:30 p.m. after shoving his wife in the
head,
damaging the home with a baseball bat and puncturing a car
tire.
Criminal damaging reportedly occurred Thursday night after two
tires
were punctured on a car in the 21000 block of Raymond
Road.

More information has been released on a
train versus car crash Friday.
At 4 p.m. Emily Ann Jewell, 17, of 15397
Bluescreek Road, was eastbound
on Barker Road when she struck the front end
of a train going southeast.
The car went off the road, receiving severe
damage. Jewell was not
injured. The crash remains under investigation.
One
man was injured in a one-car crash Saturday at 8:26 a.m.

Scott Farm Blvd. was arrested today at 3:15
a.m. and charged with two counts
of driving under license forfeiture

Farm Boulevard at Route 4.
A golf course in the 1100 block of London Avenue
reported that someone
damaged the areas between the fifth and sixth holes
sometime between
Thursday night and today at 7 a.m.

with his

Charges are pending against a 14-year-old
female for possession of
marijuana, drug paraphernalia and violating curfew
today at 12:12 a.m.
Another 14-year-old female was cited for violating curfew
as well. The
two females were found walking along Industrial
Parkway.

Troy Roger, 29, of Richwood was charged
with possession of marijuana and
drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop on
U.S. 33 at Scottslawn Road
Wednesday at 11:09 p.m. Roger was the passenger in
the vehicle.
Thursday at 11:31 p.m. Edgar Downs, 35, of 16329 Allen Center
Road was
cited for driving under suspension after a traffic stop on U.S.
33.
One person was injured in a one-car crash Thursday at 7:50 p.m.
Driver
Ian Summers, 16, of Ostrander was headed northwest on
Middleburg-Plain
City Road when he lost control, went off the right side of
the road,
overcorrected and went off the left side.
The vehicle struck a
ditch near Scheiderer Road and rolled over, coming
to rest on its top.
Summers was not injured, although passenger Oashcha
Cross, whose age and
address were not listed, suffered minor injuries
and was transported to
Memorial Hospital of Union County by medics.
Summer was cited for failure to
control his vehicle.

apt. B was arrested and
charged with domestic violence and child endangering

p.m. The arrest followed an incident on South Oak at Eighth
streets when
she reportedly purposely struck her husband with her car. Her
8-year-old
child was in the vehicle at the time.
A wallet was found in a
ditch on Delaware Avenue, with an ID of a man
from Kentucky Wednesday at 1:18
p.m.
A resident on Spruce Drive reported that someone entered his
home
Wednesday and stole a Playstation games system and controller, valued
at $650.
A resident in the 400 block of Plum Drive reported that an
unknown man
was inside her attached garage and getting into her unlocked
car
Wednesday at 9:21 p.m. The suspect was not located.
The Ohio State
Highway patrol Post requested the Marysville Police
Canine Unit to assist on
a traffic stop on U.S. 33 at Scottslawn Road.
The dog alerted on the vehicle,
resulting in the arrest of the suspect
for possession of marijuana Wednesday
at 11:19 p.m.

Deputies are warning
residents on a scam which recently resulted in a
Union County victim on
Wednesday. A resident in the 23000 block of Route
739 was looking for a job
and found an advertisement for a customer
service job. The business sent the
victim a $2,500 check, asking them to
keep $300 and send the rest to a
location in Canada. The victim obliged,
only to learn that the check from the
business bounced and the person
had been scammed.
A resident in the 34000
block of West Mansfield - Mt. Victory Road
reported Friday that someone stole
$928 by making illegal charges to his
credit card from England.
Stereo
equipment was stolen out of two boats parked in the 8000 block of
Business
Way Drive Sunday night.
Someone attempted to pry the driver side door of a
vehicle open in the
7800 block of Industrial Parkway Tuesday.
On Wednesday
it was reported that a residence in the 10000 block of
Industrial Parkway was
broken into and construction equipment, such as
shingles and doors, was
stolen from inside. The incident occurred on July 28.
Burglary was
reported Wednesday when a resident returned home in the
9000 block of Trails
End Road and discovered someone stole numerous
items from inside, totaling
$1,100. As a result of the investigation,
burglary and theft charges are now
pending against a 13-year-old male
and a 14-year-old male for their alleged
involvement.

received a Tiffany watch valued at more than $2,500 from a
man over the
Internet. Police reported that the transaction appears to be
fraudulent.
Aimee D. Patrick, 25, of 888 Catalpa Place was arrested and
charged with
child endangering after she reportedly left her 22 month old
child in a
vehicle with the engine running, while she went inside a
business
located in the 1000 block of West Fifth Street Tuesday at 7:50
p.m.
Jody A. Carroll, 29, of North Lewisburg was arrested Tuesday at
7:58
p.m. and charged with driving under suspension after a traffic stop
on
Delaware Avenue at U.S. 33.
A resident in the 800 block of Watkins Glen
Boulevard reported Tuesday
at 8:52 p.m. that a maintenance worker allegedly
entered his apartment
without prior notice and stole prescription medication
and change.
Michael A. Ferguson, 32, of 461 Windmill Drive was arrested
Tuesday at
9:41 p.m. on an outstanding warrant issued by the Marysville
Municipal Court.
A 15-year-old male was charged with being unruly after a
verbal fight
with his father Tuesday at 11 p.m. in the 500 block of Surrey
Lane.
According to sheriff's reports:
David L. Rhoten, 31, of Palm Beach
Gardens, Florida was arrested for
possession of drug paraphernalia,
possession of marijuana, improper
handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle
and speeding. Rhoten was pulled
over for speeding Tuesday at 12:57 p.m. in
the eastbound lanes of U.S.
33 west of Route 31. When Rhoten reached for his
registration in the
glove compartment, the deputy saw a black handgun inside.
The deputy
drew his weapon and called for backup, eventually placing Rhoten
into
custody. The man claimed he had a permit, but did not notify the
deputy
as law demands.
A car tire was punctured Sunday night in the 19000
block of Parrott Boulevard.
An unauthorized use of a motor vehicle report
was filed Sunday from the
18000 block of Route 4. A man said his girlfriend
took his car without
permission and drove it to Marion, where it was
impounded for parking violations.
A total of $225 in power tools were
stolen from a home under renovation
in the 32000 block of Woodland Road
Friday.
On Monday a resident in the 13000 block of Route 739 reported
that
someone criminally trespassed onto his property and entered three
cars.
Nothing was discovered stolen.
A resident on South Main Street in
Magnetic Springs reported someone
broke a window on his home while he was
upstairs Tuesday at 12:30 a.m.
Sometime between Aug. 3 and Tuesday a $200 car
part was stolen from the

According to police reports:
The full report was provided on a one-car
rollover crash near the
Marysville High School Monday.
At 5:57 a.m. driver
Berhane Ayele, 40, of Ostrander, was headed west on
U.S. 33 near the high
school, when she lost control and drove into the
guardrail. The collision
caused the car to roll over. Ayele was injured
in the crash and transported
to Memorial Hospital of Union County for
care. Charges are pending for
failure to control her vehicle.
A business from Alexandria reported Monday
that they had provided loads
of stone for a customer. The company received a
check in the amount of
$3,197.42, which later bounced.
Monday at 2:37 p.m.
an employee in the 14000 block of Scottslawn Road
reported that he has been
receiving unwanted calls at work for the past five weeks.
A resident in
the 400 block of Bent Tree Drive reported Monday at 4:49
p.m. that unknown
suspects turned on her outside water spigot and left
it running for an
undetermined amount of time.
Numerous items, including two wallets, two
cameras with a bag, an I-pod
player, and golf clubs with the bag, were all
stolen Monday from a
vehicle parked in the 200 block of Park
Avenue.

A van in the 7600 block of
Commerce Place in Jerome Township was
reportedly broken into sometime between
Saturday and Monday. Unknown
suspects stole $2,600 in hand and power tools
from inside.
Two more van break-ins were reported to have occurred over the
same time
period. A pair of vans parked in the 9000 block of Heritage Drive
were
entered, although nothing appears to have been stolen. The
suspects
caused up to $3,000 in damages to the rear doors of both
vans.
Around $1,480 in illegal charges were made to the credit card of
a

Swamp
Road. At 4:30 p.m. driver Marcus K. Stone, 16, of Raymond was
heading
north on Bear Swamp Road south of Liberty West Road when he lost
control
of his vehicle and went off the right side of the roadway and struck
a
tree. Stone was injured and transported by MedFlight helicopter
to
Children's Hospital in Columbus for care.
Three people were injured in
a two-car crash in York Township Saturday
at 5:35 p.m. Driver Jesus J.
Vargas, 22, of Upper Sandusky was headed
east on Storms Road when he lost
control as he approached the Route 739.
The car slid into the intersection
and was struck by driver Jesus G.
Garcia, 26, of Marion who was headed south
on Route 739.
Both drivers were injured in the collision and their vehicles
went off
the left side of the road into a field. Garcia was transported by
Med
Flight to Ohio State University Hospital and Vargas was transported
by
North Union medics to Memorial Hospital of Union County.
Alberto A.
Avila, 30, of Upper Sandusky was a passenger in Vargas' car
and he was
injured and transported by medics to Memorial Hospital of
Union County as
well. Vargas was cited for driving without a license.

vehicle intoxicated after a

According to police reports:
A CD player, eight CDs, two small air rafts, a
portable CD player and
prescription medication were stolen from a car, after
someone pried open
the driver side door in the 800 block of Collins Drive
Wednesday.
A resident in the 1200 block of Collingwood Court reported
Thursday that
someone stole his credit card and charged $1,151.66 without
permission.
According to sheriff's reports:
A burglary was reported after
unknown suspects forced entry to a home in
the 21000 block of Titus Road and
destroyed $10,000 in antique furniture
inside. The incident happened sometime
between July 20 and 27.
Patio furniture was thrown into a pool and the
property was damaged with

A total of $700 in items were stolen from a shed in the

Vandalism was reported after

at 4:45 p.m. that his friend
from Cypress Drive may have overdosed on
medication. When contacted,
the friend was uncooperative with police and
refused medical assistance.
A resident in the 500 block of West Fifth
Street reported Tuesday at
5:07 p.m. that someone had stolen the stepping
stone from her father's
grave at Oakdale Cemetery. The stone was valued at
$50. The theft
occurred sometime between July 15 and Tuesday.
Theft was
reported Tuesday at 6:35 p.m. after a resident in the 1600

Drive discovered $3,000 in charges he never made on his
Visa card. The theft

reports:
Nicholas Yoder, 27, of Plain City was arrested for possession
of
marijuana and paraphernalia, after he drove left of center on
McKitrick
Road at Highland Croy Road Thursday at 10:54 a.m.
Up to $300 was
reported stolen from a credit card used without
permission Friday at 8:32
a.m. in the 7000 block of Weldon Road.
Four car wheels were stolen from a
property in the 27000 block of Route 31 Friday.
Several people were
charged after an underage drinking party was
discovered Saturday at 1:21 a.m.
in the 27000 block of Route 31.
Christopher Scheiderer, 20, of Richwood;
Joshua McDonald, 20, of
Richwood and Alan Hellworth, 20, of Richwood were
cited for underage
consumption of alcohol. Joel Jones, 20, of Richwood ran
out of the back
door and was later found at his home and was arrested for
obstructing
official police business and underage consumption of
alcohol.
A 17-year-old male was arrested for operating a vehicle
intoxicated,
operating a vehicle while drinking underage, speeding and
possession of
drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop on Cosgray Road at
Route 161
Sunday at 3:28 a.m.
Martin Logsdon, 44, of 250 Sorenson Drive
was arrested for operating a
vehicle intoxicated, high blood alcohol levels
and speeding after a stop
on Mill Street in Milford Center Sunday at 2:07
a.m.
Amanda Pence, 32, of Urbana was arrested for operating a
vehicle
intoxicated, and speeding after a traffic stop on Route 4 at
Milford
Center Sunday at 3:28 a.m.
Angel Vera-Garcia, 23, of Marion was
cited for having an open container
of alcohol, after being a passenger in a
vehicle stopped on Route 4 at
the Marion County line Sunday at 12:08
a.m.
The back window of a car was broken out on West State Street in
Milford
Center Sunday at 7:30 a.m.
Assault was reported after a father
allegedly struck his son several
times in the face Sunday at 1:35 a.m. in the
28000 block of Kinney Pike
Road. The son was later transported for medical
care.

According to sheriff's reports:
Charges are pending against an 18-year-old
male for contributing to
unruliness and delinquency of a minor and criminal
damaging after
deputies investigated a report of juveniles starting small
fires in the
bus stop shelter area in the 11000 block of U.S. 36 today at
1:30 a.m.
Criminal damaging charges are also pending against three females,
ages
14, 15, and 17 years of age.
A car was reportedly scratched Thursday
in the 18000 block of Route 47.
A window was discovered broken on a business
in the 28000 block of Route
31 Thursday at 8:33 a.m. The suspect who
committed the crime apparently
was injured by the glass, although the suspect
did not gain entry or
take anything from inside.
A farmer found an
abandoned van in his bean field on Patrick Brush Run
Road at Barnett Road
Wednesday at 7:34 a.m.
The van was reportedly stolen from Upper Sandusky and
had been stripped.
The investigation continues.
Kenneth S. Sprague, 28, of
Tipp City, was cited for possession of drug
paraphernalia and issued a
warning for a vehicle equipment violation
after a traffic stop on Milford
Avenue at Route 4 today at 4:08 a.m.

reported that unknown suspects have been tearing apart electrical
boxes on
lamp posts in the area of Mill Valley North.
A business in the 500 block of
Coleman's Crossing reported a fraudulent
return between the hours of midnight
to 2:40 p.m. Thursday.
An unknown person used a check for $230.39 belonging
to a person in the
600 block of Milcrest Drive Thursday at 2:49 p.m.
Two
residents on Hickory Gate Drive reported that someone entered their
cars
overnight, although nothing was reported stolen.

Wednesday at 11:01 p.m. Melissa Kretzer, 35, of Columbus, was
arrested
for OVI after a traffic stop on Watkins Road at Scottslawn
Road.
James Levally, 25, of Marysville, was arrested Wednesday at 10:53
p.m.
on a felony warrant issued by Franklin County after a traffic stop
on
U.S. 33 in the eastbound lanes at U.S. 42. His passenger
Robin
Higginbotham, 43, of Marysville, was also arrested on a bench
warrant
issued by Champaign County.

Police are investigating an alleged
kidnapping/abduction report.
Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. a 16-year-old female
resident of the 200 block
of North Cherry Street claimed that three men
forced her into a black
mini van with tinted windows, drove 11/2 miles down
the road and the
forced her out of the van.
A resident in the 100 block of
Northcrest Drive reported that her
11-year-old son was struck in the head
with a hockey stick while he was
playing street hockey Wednesday at 11:35
a.m. The injury resulted in stitches.
A 12-foot boat was reported stolen
from the Heart of Ohio building
Wednesday. The boat had been chained to a
tree.
Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle was reported Wednesday at 4:57
p.m.
after a resident in the 300 block of West Seventh Street reported
her
daughter took the car without permission.
A car was reportedly keyed
and the fender dented on Aspen Drive Wednesday.
Duane A. Coleman, 41, of
West Mansfield was arrested and charged with
driving under suspension,
possession of drug paraphernalia and having no
operator's license after a
traffic stop on West Sixth Street at Locust
Street Wednesday at 8:58
p.m.
A man from the 400 block of East Sixth Street reported that his
wallet
was stolen from his unlocked car.
A resident in the 500 block of
Millwood Boulevard reported that someone
took a street light apart and cut
wires to the light today at 1:23 a.m.
According to sheriff's
reports:
Sunday at 3:13 p.m. a resident in the 8000 block of Mitchell Dewitt
Road
reported vandalism after the passenger side window was found broken
out.
Nothing was missing from inside.
A family in the 14000 block of
Miller Road reported their 17-year-old
daughter missing Tuesday at 10:09 p.m.
By 12:29 a.m. the girl returned
home and unruly charges are currently under
review.

According to police reports:
On Tuesday a Raymond area woman reported a
possible sexual offense,
claiming her 14-year-old daughter is pregnant by a
19-year-old
Marysville male. The case is currently under investigation.
On
Tuesday an 8-year-old and a 9-year-old male claimed they were
sexually abused
by a 12-year-old male while on West Fourth Street. The
case remains under
investigation.
A wallet was reportedly stolen from a purse at a business in
the 100
block of East Fifth Street Tuesday, sometime between 9 a.m. and 4
p.m.
Attempted breaking and entering was reported to have occurred
between
Thursday and Monday in the 1000 block of Rosewood Drive. The screen
door
was cut on the front of the house, although no entry was
made.

Deputies reported a significant
felony theft incident after a resident
in the 8000 block of Estates Court
discovered the garage door open
Tuesday at 8:14 p.m. Two pick-up trucks
inside, which were hauling
trailers filled with lawn care equipment, were
stolen. The theft is
currently being investigated and total loss estimates
are being compiled.
Travis Amsbaugh, 19, of 18110 Bear Swamp Road was
arrested for operating
a vehicle intoxicated, speeding, and underage
consumption of alcohol
after a traffic stop on U.S. 33 at U.S. 42 today at
3:23 a.m. His
passenger Austin Hucle, 19, of 19312 Dog Leg Road was cited for
underage
consumption of alcohol.
A car stereo was reported stolen out of a
car parked in the 28000 block
of Route 739 Tuesday at 7:47 a.m. The theft and
damage to the car totaled $300.
On Tuesday a person in the 31000 block of
Route 31 reported criminal
damaging. While digging, a neighbor allegedly
damaged the sewer line
going to their home. The case has been referred to the
prosecutor for possible charges.
