12/31/07
According to sheriff's reports:
Anthony Raya, 19, Sydney was arrested Saturday at 5:41 p.m. for
possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and no license plate light
after a traffic stop on U.S. 33 at Honda Parkway.
Bradley T. Randall, 28, of Walhonding was arrested Friday at 11:10 p.m.
for telecommunications harassment. He reportedly was driving up and down
the 8000 block of Ketch Road repeatedly text messaging and calling an
ex-girlfriend numerous times throughout the day.
Deputies are investigating a possible sexual abuse involving a
6-year-old female reported in the 9000 block of Warner Road Friday.
According to police reports:
Mark A. Sherman, 44, of 73 Aspen Drive was charged with disorderly
conduct after a fight on Magnolia Drive Saturday at 3:15 p.m.
A 14-year-old male wax charged with unruliness, curfew violation and
obstructing official police business after he was found attempting to
break into cars parked in the 1300 block of Carmel Drive today at 1:38 a.m.
According to OSP reports:
Friday at 9:32 a.m. troopers arrested a 16-year-old Marysville female
for OVI, underage consumption of alcohol and driving outside of marked
lanes after a stop on U.S. 33.
Gary Dziubek, 29, of 12590 Bell Road was arrested Saturday at 3:24 a.m.
for OVI after a stop on Bell Road at U.S. 42.

12/29/07
According to police reports:
A business in the 1000 block of North Maple Street reported breaking and
entering Thursday at 10:39 a.m.
The owner of an apartment complex in the 700 block of Milford Avenue
reported Thursday at 4:24 p.m. that an unoccupied apartment was broke into.
A Florida resident reported identity theft Thursday. While visiting in
the area, she was notified by her bank that two fraudulent transactions
took place with her debit card in New Orleans.
The manager of a storage unit on Clymer Road reported that locks were
cut on several units Thursday.
John J. Sandusky, 18, of Gahanna, was arrested Thursday at 8:23 p.m. for
having an open container of alcohol. Drugs were also found inside the
car during the traffic stop on Delaware Avenue.
David A. Haines, 28, of Ridgeway, was arrested Thursday at 11:10 p.m.
for driving under suspension after a traffic stop on North Maple Street.
Police began investigating a Thursday report of possible child abuse
occurring on the southwest side of the city, involving a toddler
allegedly living in unkempt conditions.
According to sheriff's reports:
Three mailboxes on Brown Road were destroyed sometime on or after
Saturday. A total loss of $75 was reported.
Charles Dean, 22, of Prospect, was arrested for physical control of a
vehicle and driving without an operator's license. Thursday at 5:24 a.m.
a resident reported a vehicle was parked at an abandoned property in the
10000 block of Fulton Creek Road. Dean was asleep inside the car.
A total of $790 in power tools and toys were stolen in a burglary/theft
incident reported Thursday in the 13000 block of Watkins Road which
occurred sometime between Nov. 17 and Dec. 15.
David Oren, 62, of 142 Northcrest Drive, was arrested Thursday at 9:32
p.m. for operating a vehicle intoxicated, super concentration of blood
alcohol levels and speeding on Industrial Parkway.
According to OSP reports:
One person was injured in a two-car crash that occurred Thursday in
Magnetic Springs.
At 2:35 p.m. Driver Patricia L. Titus, 53, of Richwood, was headed
eastbound on Magnetic Street when she stopped at a stop sign at Route 37
and then pulled in front of driver Michael W. Wolfe, 24, of Richwood,
who was headed south. Wolfe was injured as a result of the collision and
was transported by Northern Union medics to Memorial Hospital of Union
County. Titus was cited for failure to yield at a stop sign.

12/27/07
According to police reports:
Jeffrey A Kostusyk, 26, of North Branch, Mich., was arrested today at
2:46 a.m. for disorderly conduct after he was found intoxicated and
passed out in the rain behind a bar at 210 N. Plum St.
Robert R. Whitlock, 19, unknown address was arrested for driving with an
open container of alcohol after a traffic stop in the 1400 block of
Industrial Parkway today at 1:10 a.m.
A purse was stolen from a car parked in the 1000 block of Lydia Drive
Wednesday evening.
Amy Young, 26, of 1551 Claudia Lane was arrested for disorderly conduct
after fighting with a family member at Philly's Bar and Grill in the
16000 block of Square Drive Wednesday at 6:04 p.m.
Christopher W. Howard, 20, of unknown address was charged with receiving
stolen property Wednesday at 1:28 p.m. He was found at Fifth and Main
streets in possession of items stolen from a burglary that occurred in
the 600 block of West Sixth Street. Earlier on Wednesday Howard was also
charged with trespassing at 5 a.m. on West Sixth Street.
Unauthorized charges were made to a bank account from a resident in the
300 block of Gallery Drive Wednesday at 9:30 a.m.
According to sheriff's reports:
Zachary Hiscar, 21, of Pataskala was arrested for possession of
marijuana and drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop on U.S. 33 at
Honda Parkway Wednesday at 4:42 p.m.
A burglary occurred Wednesday at 8:33 p.m. in the 6000 block of El
Camino Drive. Twenty seven baseballs bats and other items were stolen,
with a value of $6,393 lost.

12/26/07
According to police reports:
Steven R. McConnahea, 21, of 1064 Milford Ave., was arrested Monday for
voyeurism and public indecency. On Friday at 11:40 p.m. a woman in the
600 block of Kenny Lane reported witnessing a man looking into her
window. Police arrived on the scene to investigate, and McConnahea told
them he had witnessed a suspect run from the home and had chased him,
but the person had escaped. Police took evidence at the window, proving
that there had been a man there. Later in the investigation, McConnahea
finally admitted that he had been the person looking in the window.
A business in the 1300 block of West Fifth Street reported that a clerk
was given a counterfeit $20 Monday at 1:20 a.m.
Michael A. Ferguson, 33, of 461 Windmill Drive, was arrested on several
outstanding warrant from Lawrence County.
A resident in the 800 block of Wedgewood Drive reported that he and his
son were arguing over cigarettes Tuesday at 9:05 a.m. During the
argument his son became enraged and punched a hole in the wall.
Tuesday at 4:57 p.m. a resident in the 600 block of Wedgewood Drive
reported that during a custody exchange, two known suspects refused to
leave. One person kicked over a planter, damaging it.
A resident in the 200 block of West Eighth Street reported that her son
broke into her house and stole multiple items Tuesday.
According to sheriff's reports:
Thursday night three car engines valued at $3,700 were stolen from a
property in the 21000 block of Raymond Road.
Three people were arrested Sunday at 1:32 a.m. after a dispute in the
33000 block of Route 37. Lindsey B. Young, 22, of 33862 Route 37, Glen
A. Burchfield, 23, of 33862 Route 37, and Dawn L. Phillians, 40, of
Prospect, were intoxicated and all arrested for disorderly conduct
during an argument.
On Saturday someone stole $40 worth of reindeer holiday lawn ornaments
from a property in the 10000 block of Maple Dell Road.
Steven L. Lockwood, 32, of Bellefontaine, was arrested for operating a
vehicle intoxicated, high blood alcohol levels and having an open
container of alcohol after a traffic stop on Route 4 Saturday at 2:38 a.m.
Ian C. Davies, 43, of 25742 Route 31, was arrested Sunday at 4:13 p.m.
after crashing his car while driving intoxicated. Davies was on
Langstaff Road at Route 4 when he lost control of his pick-up truck,
drove into a ditch and then crashed into a car stopped at a traffic
sign. The collision caused damage to both cars, although no one was
injured. Davies was arrested for OVI and failure to control his vehicle.
A mailbox was discovered damaged Sunday in the 27000 block of Newton
Perkins Road.
Police recovered a golf club bag in a ditch, which was later discovered
to have been stolen during a burglary in the 6900 block of McNeal Road
Monday night. A garage door had been left open at the home overnight and
the golf clubs and numerous other items were taken from inside.

According to police reports:
Travis Griffith, 18, of 17811 Boerger Road, was charged with obstructing
official police business after giving officers false information as they
investigated a crash on U.S. 36 east, near U.S. 33 Friday at 1:31 a.m.
Brandis Jane Showalter, 20, of 323 S. Walnut St. Apt. C, was charged
with violating a protection order against him Friday at 7:09 a.m.
A resident in the 500 block of Watkins Glen Boulevard reported being
threatened by an estranged spouse Friday.
Karl Douglas John, 53, no known address, was arrested Friday at 6:22
p.m. for operating a vehicle intoxicated, driving under suspension and
failure to control his vehicle. Edward Wallace Snyder, 51, of 207
Chestnut St., was also charged with physical control of a vehicle after
officers found the two trying to remove their car from the yard of a
business in the 200 block of Collins Avenue.
A woman reported a man was looking through her window in the 600 block
of Kenny Lane Friday at 11:40 p.m.
No charges were filed after a woman reported being assaulted by her
spouse Friday at 8 p.m. in the 700 block of North Main Street.
Someone reportedly spray painted the pavement in the 500 block of Mill
Wood Boulevard Saturday.
Jeffrey E. Williams, 42, of 802 Collins Ave., was charged with
persistent disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after causing a
disturbance on Mulberry Street Saturday at 7:11 p.m.
Ashley Catterson, 21, of 500 W. Third St. Apt. D, was arrested Saturday
at 7:47 p.m. on an outstanding warrant after officers were called to her
home for a dispute.
No charges were filed toward a woman who attempted to take several
unknown pills at Memorial Hospital of Union County Sunday at 1:29 a.m.
as she received care.
Richard Moffitt, 26, of Parrish, Fla., was charged with driving under
suspension after a traffic stop on Allenby Drive Sunday at 3:03 a.m.
A table was stolen from the front of a home in the 400 block of
Timberview Drive Sunday.
According to sheriff's reports:
Michael Gatterdam, 21, of Bexley, was arrested for possession of drugs
and drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop on Mitchell Dewitt Road
Friday at 11:44 p.m.
A resident in the 20000 block of Westlake Lee Road reported someone
stole identification to illegally purchase $530 of items in Toledo on Nov. 6.

12/21/07
According to police reports:
Today at 12:47 a.m. Jeffrey R. Jack, 55, of Dublin was headed east on
Industrial Parkway, when he failed to stop and struck an on-duty
Marysville Police cruiser at the intersection of Coleman's Crossing Boulevard.
Jack was arrested for operating a vehicle intoxicated and failure to
control his driving.
The crash report states that the officer was on traffic duty, blocking
eastbound cars on Industrial Parkway, as police were escorting a large
construction crane being moved on the roadway. The cruiser emergency
lights were on at the time.
The police car reportedly suffered minor damage and no one was injured
in the crash.
A wallet was found at the rear of a business in the 1000 block of North
Main Street Thursday.
A resident of Meadows Drive reported receiving harassing and disturbing
phone calls from a co-worker Thursday at 1:05 p.m.
Charly S. Corbin, 19, of Powell was arrested for driving under
suspension after a traffic stop on East Fifth Street.
According to sheriff's reports:
Kellie I. Shuster, 43, of 67 E. Park St. was arrested Friday at 3:02
a.m. after passing a sheriff's deputy. She then lost control and went
off the right side of the roadway. Shuster was discovered to be
operating her vehicle intoxicated.
A marijuana pipe was found at a house, as deputies conducted a
well-being search on a juvenile in the 11000 block of U.S. 42 Wednesday
at 5:20 p.m. No charges have been filed.
Thursday between midnight and 6:30 a.m. a resident in the 92000 block of
U.S. 42 reported that someone drove their car through his yard, knocking
over a bird bath, and causing $100 in damages.
Janette W. Hamilton, 46, of Kilbourne was arrested for possession of
drug paraphernalia Thursday at 8:54 p.m. after a traffic stop on U.S.
42, north of Bell Road.
Alisa Gardner, 36, of 19250 Dog Leg Road was arrested for domestic
violence after scratching her live-in boyfriend during a fight Thursday
at 11:27 p.m. at the home.

12/20/07
According to OSP reports:
A suspect fled on foot from state troopers and area law enforcement
early this morning.
At 2:35 a.m., troopers pulled over a silver Mercedes for speeding along
U.S. 33, east of U.S. 42. The driver pulled into a parking lot at a
nearby restaurant, got out of the car, and then fled on foot into the
woods behind the restaurant.
The Ohio State Patrol set up a perimeter search around the area where
the suspect fled, with the help of the Union County Sheriff's Office and
the Marysville Police Department. A canine search dog was also used to
try and locate the man, but he eventually escaped.
Troopers reported this morning that the investigation continues and a
search warrant is being issued for the known suspect.
Authorities have not released the man's name.
According to police reports:
Just after midnight today, a 22-year-old woman reported an assault after
an 18-year-old male threw a snowball, which struck her in the face and
caused scratches in the 600 block of Milford Avenue. No charges have
been filed at this time.
John Charles Smith, 47, of 548 N. Main St. was arrested on an
outstanding warrant at his home Wednesday at 8:20 p.m.
A resident in the 200 block of Windsor Court reported cash was stolen Wednesday.
A resident in the 500 block of West Fifth Street reported his debit card
was used to purchase items in Michigan, but the theft was discovered
before the money left his bank account.
A Mt. Victory resident reported that while shopping at a store in
Marysville, she laid her wallet down and it was subsequently stolen
Wednesday at 2:30 p.m.
According to sheriff's reports:
Wednesday at 4:54 a.m., a 16-foot trailer, which was loaded with tools,
was stolen from the 17000 block of Willow Wood Lane. More tools were
also stolen from the garage, which resulted in a theft of $5,230 in items.
Brennen Patterson, 18, of Columbus was arrested for underage
consumption/possession of alcohol and driving without a license today at
4:32 a.m. in the 20000 block of Bonnie Court.

12/19/07
According to police reports:
Tuesday at 7:47 a.m. two trailers were discovered broken into in the 800
block of East Fifth Street. Numerous tools and equipment were stolen,
sometime from 5-5:45 p.m.
A generator was stolen from a construction site in the 13000 block of
Industrial Parkway Tuesday.
Numerous tools were stolen from a shed on Industrial Parkway Tuesday
between 2 p.m. Monday and 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.
A resident in the 500 block of Meadows Drive reported that someone keyed
his wife's car Tuesday.
According to sheriff's reports:
Tuesday at 9:58 a.m. a vehicle was reported stolen from the 27000 block
of Fawley Road. The car was originally found crashed in the county on
Dec. 9. Deputies were finally able to locate the car owner, who
officially reported it had been stolen.
An employee of a business in the 7000 block of Industrial Parkway
reportedly duplicated a payroll check and cashed the fake and the
original checks, stealing a total of $511 Tuesday.
According to OSP reports:
No one was injured in a  two car crash on Route 38 Tuesday. A photograph
from the crash appeared in Tuesday's Journal-Tribune.
At 7:58 a.m. driver William E. Lynch, 49, of Marysville was headed
southbound on Route 38, stopping to turn left onto Middleburg-Plain City
Road. Driver Aleshia Wimmers, 23, of Delaware was headed southbound on
Route 38 behind Lynch, when she failed to stop in time and struck the
rear of his car. She was cited for failure to leave assured clear distance ahead.

12/18/07
According to police reports:
Lori A. Signoracci, 38, 836 Collins Ave., Apt. 3, was charged with
driving under suspension during a traffic stop on Collins Avenue Monday.
Jason A. Isaacs, 22, and Jeremy M. Isaacs, 25, both of 14113 Pleasant
Ridge Drive, and Ryan W. Shuster, 24, of 13934 Watkins Road, were each
charged with disorderly conduct following a complaint of a fight in the
400 block of South Oak Street.
Michael T. Showalter, 30, Delaware, was charged with assault following
an alleged disturbance in the 300 block of South Walnut Street.
Brandis J. Showalter, 20, 323 S. Walnut Street, Apt. C, was charged with
obstructing official business and falsification out of the same incident.
According to sheriff's reports:
Units responded to an injury crash Saturday at 11:05 a.m. According to
the report Angela Mathys, of Richwood, was driving south on Route 4 in
Leesburg Township when she approached a slower moving vehicle. Mathys
attempted to pass the vehicle on the left. As she attempted the
maneuver, her vehicle, a 2001 Chevrolet coupe, struck the rear bumper of
the slower, southbound vehicle, a 2004 Chevrolet sedan being driven by
Sherry Jones of Richwood. After hitting the other vehicle, Mathys'
vehicle proceeded into the northbound lane, hitting the front of a 1995
station wagon, being driven by Stanley Ross of Richwood.
Ross and Mathys were both transported for medical attention. Sheriff's
office officials could not determine where the individuals were
transported or by which ambulance. No citations have been issued.
John Crain, of Marysville, has been cited by Union County Sheriff's
Office for failure to control, following an injury crash at 1:40 p.m.
Saturday on Route 347 in Leesburg Township. Crain was driving his 1996
Honda station wagon east on Route 347 when he lost control on a patch of
ice, striking another vehicle head-on. The other vehicle was driven by
Cara Miller, of Richwood. Crain was transported for medical attention by
North Union Fire District EMS. Miller was transported for medical
attention by Stofcheck ambulance service. The destination and condition
of the injured could not be determined by sheriff's office officials.
Sara Wietelmann, of Dublin, was transported by Marysville EMS to
Memorial Hospital of Union County, following a one vehicle accident at
1:42 p.m. Saturday. Wietelmann was on Scottslawn Road approaching the
intersection of Route 736. She was unable to stop at the intersection
due to ice. She traveled through the intersection and struck a telephone box.

12/17/07
According to police reports:
A 62-year-old man was found dead at his home in the 500 block of Garden
Drive Sunday at 10:45 a.m. The man's identity was not provided at press time.
No foul play is suspected and no unusual circumstances were found during the investigation.
Attempted suicide was reported Sunday at 7:10 p.m. in the 100 block of Buerger Street.
Burglary was reported Sunday at 9:20 p.m. after someone forced entry
into a home in the 600 block of Milford Avenue. Nothing was reported stolen.
A resident of Kenny Lane reported being followed and threatened by an
ex-boyfriend Sunday at 10:20 p.m. No charges have been filed at this time.
Raymond A. Gardner, 28, of 304 N. Cherry St. apt. 7 was charged with
driving without a license after a traffic stop on Cherry Street.
A resident in the 300 block of Sherwood Avenue reported receiving
threatening phone calls Friday.
A windshield of a car parked in the 300 block of West Third Street was
broken out by an object thrown from another moving car Friday at 11:54 p.m.
Jason Rice, 28, of Bellefontaine was arrested Saturday at 12:46 a.m. for
operating a vehicle intoxicated after a traffic stop on East Fifth Street.
A resident in the 600 block of West Third Street reported receiving
threatening text messages from a known person Saturday.
John C. Rister, 37, of 249 Dogwood Drive was arrested Saturday at 1:38
a.m. on an outstanding warrant and possession of marijuana and drug
paraphernalia charges after a traffic stop on Square Drive.
Saturday at 3:10 p.m. a resident in the 200 block of North Maple Street
reported a dispute, which resulted in a broken window.
Robert D. Stevenson, 19, of 925 W. Fifth St. apt. 6 was picked up in
Franklin County Jail Saturday at 10:15 p.m. for an outstanding warrant
for failure to appear in court for a driving without a license.
John D. Moore, 23, of 13482 Industrial Parkway was charged with driving
under suspension, expired license plates and driving without a license
after a traffic stop Sunday at 2:50 a.m. in the 300 block of East Fifth Street.
According to sheriff's reports:
A total of 4 injury crashes occurred over the weekend, although reports
were unavailable before press time.
On Nov. 29 a resident from the 17000 block of Yoakum drive reported a
$7,000 4-wheel ATV was stolen earlier in the month.
A total of 20 pills were reported stolen from a mail order prescription
which was delivered to a home on West State Street in Milford center Friday.
Friday at 10:51 p.m. a resident in the 11000 block of Route 736 reported trespassing.
A 16-year-old male attempted suicide at the Central Ohio Youth Center in
the 18000 block of Route 4 Saturday at 2 a.m. The male was transported
to Memorial Hospital of Union County for care, but reportedly was not injured.

12/14/07
According to sheriff's reports:
A total of $447 was stolen from a woman's purse Monday in the 14000
block of Miller Road.
A business owner in the 24000 block of Honda Parkway reported Thursday
that a railroad storage vehicle that was stolen in 2002 was recently
spotted in Marion County.
David Bolling, 21, of 23196 Route 37, was arrested for possession of
marijuana and drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop Thursday at 8:52
p.m. on Springdale Road at U.S. 36.
Driver Benjamin Stockton, 25, of 13064 U.S. 36, was arrested for driving
under suspension and possession of marijuana and passenger Brett White,
26, of 438 Allenby Drive, was arrested on an outstanding warrant issued
by Marysville Police Department during a traffic stop this morning.
Earlier, a citizen in the 22000 block of Raymond Road reported criminal
trespassing and criminal damaging on the property, caused by two men.
Stockton and White are being investigated for those crimes as well.
According to police reports:
William S. Gonzalez, 43, of 112 1/2 W. Fifth St., was arrested Thursday
at 7:15 a.m. on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in court.
George L. Cook, 32, of 925 W. Fifth St., was arrested on an outstanding
warrant for failure to appear in court Thursday at 10:07 a.m.
A Buick Park Avenue vehicle was stolen from the 600 block of Chestnut
Street Thursday.
Another vehicle, a maroon 1990 Ford Econoline van, was stolen from the
1400 block of Weaver Road Thursday.
A business in the 300 block of East Fifth Street reported someone
attempted to steal a diamond ring Thursday at 12:45 p.m.
A business in the 500 block of Coleman's Crossing Boulevard reported
that on Monday two males took two laptop computers.
Assault was reported Thursday at 7:03 p.m. after a 16-year-old male and
a 17-year-old male were fighting in the Marysville High School parking lot.
Tony Crabtree, 26, of 727 Milcrest Drive, was arrested for driving under
suspension, expired license plates and driving without headlights after
a stop on Milcrest Drive Thursday at 9:14 p.m.
According to OSP reports:
Terry Hamilton II, 28, of Zanesfield, was arrested for OVI and speeding
Thursday at 11:21 p.m. after a traffic stop on Northwest Parkway at Route 245.

12/13/07
According to sheriff's reports:
John Thornton, 27, of Reynoldsburg was arrested Wednesday at 7:23 p.m.
after refusing to dim his headlights upon request, causing the deputy to
pull him over on Route 161 at Homer Road. Thornton was then charged with
driving under suspension, failure to dim his headlights and possession of marijuana.
According to police reports:
A resident of North Court Street reported she was assaulted by her
boyfriend Wednesday at 2:54 a.m. No charges were listed as filed at this time.
A payroll check was found in the parking lot of a business in the 600
block of Coleman's Crossing Boulevard Tuesday.
Wednesday at 4:32 p.m. a Delaware resident reported his credit card was
lost at a business on Columbus Avenue. Since then, his credit cards have
been used by unknown suspects.
An Elwood Avenue resident is claiming theft Wednesday, after she went to
a jeweler to have a ring repaired and it looks as if an emerald on the
ring had been replaced with a blemished one.
A driver did not pay for gas pumped at a station in the 500 block of
East Fifth Street Wednesday.
A resident in the 900 block of West Fifth Street reported her wallet was
stolen Wednesday, after she dropped it and a neighbor boy possibly picked it up.

According to OSP reports:
Troopers are currently investigating what caused a man to lose control
of his car and crash into the property of Complete Auto Tuesday.
At 5:35 p.m. driver Chad Wilson, 28, of 836 Collins Ave., was headed
eastbound on U.S. 33 in a 1996 Chevy Lumina, when he lost control and
went off the left side of the roadway. He continued across the median
and westbound lanes and went off the left side of the road. His car went
up an embankment, crashed through the fence of Complete Auto Service and
struck several parked cars and two large trash containers before
catching fire. Wilson was not injured in the crash.
There was reportedly no damage to the auto business building.
One man was injured in a one-car crash Tuesday.
At 5:40 a.m. driver James Beal, 49, of Springfield, was headed northeast
on Buck Run Road in a 1999 Honda Accord when he lost control on a curve
and went off the right side of the roadway. His car went down an
embankment, struck a small tree, a boulder and another small tree before stopping.
Today at 1:22 a.m. Todd Burkhard, 22, of Raymond, was arrested for OVI
and speeding after a traffic stop on U.S. 33 at U.S. 36.
According to police reports:
A Creekview Drive resident reported that an unknown person stole
outgoing mail from his mail box Monday.
Barbara S. Swinning, 44, of 740 Meadows Drive, was arrested Tuesday at
5:40 a.m. for failure to comply with license reinstatement after a
traffic stop on U.S. 33 at U.S. 36.
Kennis L. White III, 19, of London, was arrested Tuesday at 6:38 a.m.
for driving under suspension after a traffic stop on Route 38.
Christopher N. Ford, 20, of 18544 Boerger Road, was arrested for theft
at a business on Coleman's Crossing Boulevard after he received a gift
card through a fraudulent return of merchandise Tuesday.
A resident in the 800 block of Collins Avenue reported the theft of her
cell phone after she loaned it to someone who then denied receiving it Tuesday.
According to sheriff's reports: No reports were available.

12/11/07
According to sheriff's reports:
Vandalism was reported Sunday at 10:42 a.m. after an unknown driver went
off the roadway and struck two headstones at the cemetery in the 20000
block of Route 47. One headstone was damaged, causing $4,000 in needed repairs.
Outdoor cameras valued at $489, were placed in trees in the 12000 block
of U.S. 36, and were stolen sometime between Friday and Saturday.
According to police reports:
Angela R. Brown, 46, of 686 Meadows Drive, was cited for driving with a
suspended license during a traffic stop on Meadows Drive Monday at 6:06 a.m.
A resident in the 200 block of Southwood Drive reported a wallet was stolen Monday.
On Monday a spool of copper wire was stolen from a construction site in
the 800 block of Amrine Mill Road.
A car that was left out of gear in the 1300 block of West Fifth Street
rolled into a gas pump Monday at 12:46 p.m., causing damages.
David B. Michaels, 47, of New Cumberland, Pa., was arrested for OVI and
driving left of center after a traffic stop on East Fifth Street today at 3:04 a.m.
According to OSP reports:
One person was injured after a drunk driving crash Monday night in Allen Township.
At 10:43 p.m. driver Jennifer Blevins, 29, of 17618 Clark Dawson Road,
was headed south on Bear Swamp Road, when she lost control and went off
the left side of the road at Allen Center Road, striking a fence.
Blevins was injured and transported by medics to Memorial Hospital of
Union County for care. She was cited for OVI.
Courtney Gordon, 27, of Columbus, was arrested today at 1:03 a.m. for
driving under suspension after a traffic stop on U.S. 33.

According to police reports:
A 15-year-old female and a 17-year-old female were charged with
disorderly conduct after fighting in the 800 block of Amrine Mill Road
Friday at 12:05 p.m.
Benjamin G. Pyers, whose age and address were not listed, was charged
with disorderly conduct after a fight in the 400 block of South Oak
Street Saturday at 12:50 a.m.
Ronald F. Strope, 48, of 8930 Watkins Road was arrested Saturday at 1:34
a.m. for OVI and driving outside of marked lanes after a traffic stop on U.S. 33.
A 17-year-old male was arrested on a probation violation after he was
involved in a dispute Saturday at 8:27 a.m. in the 1500 block of Meadowlark lane.
Two cars parked in the 400 block of Palm Drive were broken into sometime
overnight Thursday to Friday morning.
Christopher W. Howard, 20, of 264 W. Eighth St. was arrested and charged
with theft after allegedly shoplifting at a business on Coleman's'
crossing Boulevard Saturday at 5:21 p.m.
A red and gray 2000 Chevy Astro van was reported stolen out of a parking
lot in the 1500 block of West Fifth Street Sunday at 4:15 p.m.
Heidi F. Taylor, 30, of Columbus was arrested Sunday at 6:17 p.m. on an
outstanding warrant in the 500 block of Coleman's Crossing Boulevard.
According to sheriff's reports:
Tyler Merrill, 20, of Plain City was arrested for OVI, driving outside
of marked lanes, failure to comply with a deputy's order after he led
officers on a short pursuit Sunday at 2:54 a.m. A deputy attempted to
stop Merrill on Delaware Avenue at U.S. 33, but the driver kept driving
and did not stop until he reached the railroad tracks on Coleman's Crossing Boulevard.
Shannon Griffin, 47, of West Mansfield was charged with failure to
confine his dog, after the animal went into a neighbor's yard in the
23000 block of Davis Road and killed the family's cat and dog.
A business in the 7000 block of Montgomery Drive reported Friday morning
that checks had been discovered to be forged in the amount of $1,977.97.
A 17-year-old male was charged with unruliness after yelling and
becoming physically confrontational Friday at 5:16 p.m. in the 25000
block of Claibourne Road.
After a traffic stop on U.S. 33 east near U.S. 42, passenger Adam
Miller, 21, of Plain City was charged with possession of marijuana, drug
paraphernalia and having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle
Friday at 9:13 p.m.
Lawrence Griffith, 55, of Delaware was arrested Friday at 10:32 p.m. for
OVI, and high blood alcohol concentration after a traffic stop on
Industrial Parkway at Scottslawn Road.
Ferenc Kratky, 31, of 466 Allenby Drive was arrested for OVI, driving
under suspension, and failure to use a turn signal after a traffic stop
on Fourth Street in Marysville Friday at 10:31 p.m. During the arrest,
Kratky reportedly kept pulling his arms away from the deputy, and had to
be restrained. Charges for possession of drugs are under investigation
after a bottle of prescription pills, which was reportedly prescribed to
another person, was found.
Mica Kohtamaki, 36, of Columbus was arrested for OVI, driving without a
license, and failure to control his vehicle. Saturday at 12:40 a.m. it
was reported he had driven his car into a ditch in the 7000 block of
Scioto Road. Drug charges are under investigation, after four pills were
reportedly discovered.
Passenger John Lee, 28, of Magnetic Springs was arrested for possession
of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop on Industrial
Parkway at Scottslawn Road Saturday at 10:01 p.m.
David Jarczynski, 56, of Columbus was arrested for possession of
marijuana, drug paraphernalia and driving under suspension after a
traffic stop on U.S. 33 at Brock Road Saturday at 9:52 p.m. According to OSP:
James Volk, Jr., 45, of Columbus was arrested for OVI after a stop on
Delaware Avenue at U.S. 33 Saturday at 1:34 a.m.
Michael Young, 29, of 1551 Claudia Drive was arrested for OVI after a
traffic stop near Lora Lee Drive Sunday at 1:04 a.m.
Michael Connor, 23, of Ontario, Canada was arrested for OVI after a
traffic stop on Square Drive Sunday at 11:46 p.m.

12/7/07
According to sheriff's reports:
Two Fairbanks Middle School pupils were arrested Thursday for
drug-related charges. At 12:45 p.m. the school principal reported a
13-year-old male from Unionville Center was arrested for having
prescription medication which he was giving to other students. A
14-year-old male was also arrested for receiving the medication and was
found in possession of a pill at school.
A business in the 7000 block of Memorial Drive reported Thursday that a
customer paid two checks, which bounced, for services, leaving the store
at a loss of $1,220.15.
Michael Greer, 37, of 22381 Whitestone Road, was arrested for possession
of marijuana after a traffic stop on U.S. 36 Thursday at 8:31 p.m. east of Marysville.
A person reported being assaulted Thursday at 9:23 p.m. in the 24000
block of Honda Parkway. The victim claimed minor injuries. The incident
remains under investigation.
According to police reports:
It was reported Thursday at 8 a.m. that a student made threats to a
teacher at Marysville Middle School.
A resident on Bent Tree Drive reported theft Thursday after finding an
opened and empty envelope which was supposed to contain a check.
Two green Ipod Nanos were reported stolen from Best Buy on Coleman's
Crossing Boulevard Thursday.
David W. Lee, 56, of Columbus, was arrested for OVI and making a
prohibited U-turn after a traffic stop on U.S. 36 at the U.S. 33
westbound ramp.

12/6/07
According to police reports:
Wednesday at 12:37 p.m., Jennifer Barnette, 23, of 123 W. Sixth St.,
apt. A, was arrested on an outstanding warrant from the Union County
Sheriff's Office for failure to appear.
A business in the 800 block of Delaware Avenue reported at 1 p.m.
Wednesday that a customer tried to cash a check against a closed account.
A business in the 300 block of Mill Creek Drive reported Wednesday at
2:46 p.m. that a customer short-changed an employee.
A resident in the 1100 block of Mill Park Drive reported criminal
mischief Wednesday at 5:07 p.m. An unknown suspect had turned her
exterior water spigot on without permission and left the scene. It is
unknown how long the water was left on, and it was found turned off when
she arrived home.
Cynthia L. Howell, 33, of 488 Allenby Drive and Chelsy D. Catterson, 19,
of 718 Collins Avenue, Apt. F, were both arrested with disorderly
conduct Wednesday at 9:15 p.m. after being involved in a fight with each other.
Gretchen S. Groves, 38, of 580 Allenby Drive, was arrested for driving
under suspension and no operator's license after a traffic stop today at
1:23 a.m. after a traffic stop on Allenby Drive.
According to sheriff's reports:
Charges are pending against two Richwood males, ages 18 and 17.
Wednesday at 8:38 p.m. deputies stopped a vehicle on West Ottawa Street
in Richwood. The passenger had a plastic bag containing possible
marijuana, with other assorted drug paraphernalia. During the
investigation of the car, deputies found a tin containing a white
unidentified substance with related drug paraphernalia. Charges are
pending based on laboratory testing.
Wednesday at 11:33 p.m. deputies arrested Sheri Strickland, 38, of
Broadway, for OVI. The Marysville Police Department reportedly responded
to a hit/skip crash on Delaware Avenue at McDonalds at 11 p.m. The owner
of the damaged car caught the license plate number of the vehicle which
struck the car. Deputies matched that to Strickland's vehicle in the
23000 block of Cottage Street where she was found to be intoxicated.
According to OSP reports:
Thursday at 11:13 p.m. Mark Oman, 47, of Ostrander was cited for
operating without reasonable control and OVI after he was headed west on
Askins Road near Route 37 and went off the left side of the roadway and
struck a utility pole and fence. He was not injured in the crash.

12/5/07
According to sheriff's reports:
A total of $500 in change was stolen from containers in a home in the
21000 block of Evans Road in late November. The incident was reported
Monday at 10:28 a.m.
Brian Arms, 41, of Milford Center, was arrested for possession of
marijuana Tuesday at 10:29 a.m. Arms was already being arrested for an
outstanding warrant on Commercial Street in Milford Center when the
drugs were found.
According to police reports:
Dennis L. Hamilton, 38, of 124 Hemlock Drive, was arrested Monday at
8:28 p.m. for an outstanding warrant out of Marion County.
Cindy C. Jones, 37, of 925 W. Fifth St. apt. 55, was arrested Tuesday at
10:44 a.m. on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in court.
A resident of Timber Lane reported Tuesday that her son took a game
system from the house and sold it.

According to police reports:
Jeffrey A. Jackson, 39, of 11480 U.S. 36 was arrested Monday at 8:30
a.m. on an outstanding warrant in the 500 block of London Avenue.
A business in the 500 block of Coleman's Crossing Boulevard reported
fake credit cards being used at the store Monday.
A dispute over money was reported Monday at 5:31 p.m. on Meadows Drive.
A person failed to pay for gasoline in the 200 block of North Main Street Monday.
According to sheriff's reports:
Deputies conducted a brief pursuit after a man fled during a traffic
stop Sunday at 3:14 a.m. A vehicle was stopped for speeding on Maple
Dell Road and as the driver pulled over, he suddenly drove off. Deputies
followed the car to what ended up being the suspect's driveway. The man
got out of the car and fled on foot across the back yard and eventually
got away. Adam Witt, 27, of 19181 Delaware County Line Road eventually
turned himself into deputies on Monday sometime after 8 a.m. He was
charged with failure to comply with a police order, speeding, driving
under suspension, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving with an
open container of alcohol.
A woman reported that two money orders valued at $288 and prescription
medication had been stolen from her purse while at a party in the 14000
block of Pleasant Ridge Drive Saturday night.
A 14-year-old male and his 13-year-old brother were charged with
juvenile domestic violence after pushing and poking their mother during
a fight with her at their home in the 21000 block of Raymond Road Monday at 4:24 p.m.

12/3/07

According to police reports:
Two reports of cars being stolen and then set on fire have area law enforcement investigating.
On Saturday at 1:33 a.m. Marysville Police responded to a report of a
car on fire in the 40 block of Butternut Court.
The car was later discovered to have been stolen from the 100 block of
North Maple Street in association with a burglary. A resident in the
home told police at 10:56 a.m. that day that her X-Box game system was
stolen from inside.
Earlier in the week Union County Sheriff's deputies investigated the
theft of a car in the county which later turned up on fire in Marion County.
Christopher D. Muncey, 34, of 758 Meadows Drive was arrested Saturday at
3:13 a.m. for contempt of court charges after a traffic stop on Industrial Parkway.
Jason Ramsey, 21, of Ridgeway, was arrested and charged with operating a
vehicle intoxicated, failure to yield, speeding and high blood alcohol
levels after a traffic stop on Industrial Parkway Saturday at 4:13 a.m.
A 19-year old woman reportedly attempted suicide by pills on Cottonwood
Drive Saturday and was transported to Memorial Hospital of Union County for care.
Corey J. Griest, 18, of 1691 Meadowlark Drive, was arrested Saturday at
10:33 p.m. for driving under suspension and driving with an expired
license on Delaware Avenue.
Tony P. Caruso, 29, of Wisconsin, and Charley Hay, 31, of 14298 County
Home Road, were arrested Sunday at 2:03 a.m. for disorderly conduct
after fighting at a business in the 400 block of South Oak Street.
Sunday at 3:48 p.m. a business in the 500 block of Coleman's Crossing
Boulevard reported the felony theft of several computers sometime after 12:30 p.m.
Michael Way, 54, of 116 N. Main St., was charged with disorderly conduct
after a fight in the 300 block of East Fifth Street Sunday at 7:28 p.m.
A car parked in the 300 block of South Court Street had its tires slashed Sunday.
A bike was found in the 200 block of North Main Street.
Child endangering charges are being investigated after a 6-year-old
female was let off the school bus and no one was there to meet her
Friday at 3:30 p.m. in the 200 block of Greenwood Boulevard.
Drug paraphernalia charges are pending against a 19-year-old female who
was found with syringes and a spoon Friday at a business on Coleman's
Crossing Boulevard.
According to sheriff's reports:
A window was found shot out by a BB gun or rock Thursday in the 100
block of Main Street, with unruly and criminal damaging charges pending
against a 10-year-old male suspect.
No charges have been filed against a man who reportedly pushed his wife
during an argument in the 19000 block of Route 4 Thursday at 10:24 p.m.
A total of $4,060 in tools and equipment were stolen from a construction
site in the 13000 block of County Home Road Friday.
Friday at 11:30 a.m. a resident in the 17000 block of Route 31 reported
receiving a bed check in the amount of $525.22.
Gregory Franko, 46, of 19969 Route 4, was arrested Friday for a parole
violation, operating a vehicle intoxicated, high blood alcohol levels
and possession of marijuana after a traffic stop on Macklan Road at Route 4.
Menacing charges are pending against a 19-year-old woman who threatened
to harm her 19-year-old boyfriend and his property Friday at 10:11 p.m.
on Main Street in Magnetic Springs.
Deputies found a wallet containing cash and identification Saturday at
10:45 a.m. in the 28000 block of Route 37.
A 14-year-old male is being charged with domestic violence after shoving
his brother and mother to the ground during an argument Saturday at 9:46
p.m. in the 17000 block of Route 347.
Justin Mahoney, 25, of Ashville, was arrested Sunday at 12:35 a.m. for
possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop on
West State Street in Milford Center.
Domestic violence charges are pending against a 17-year-old male who
reportedly threatened a family member with a knife Sunday at 1:43 p.m.
in the 18000 block of Route 47.
According to OSP reports:
Saturday at 2:14 a.m. Matthew Shears, 27, of Zanesfield, was arrested
for OVI  after a traffic stop on Main Street at Elwood Avenue.
Brittney Kerr, 21, of Columbus, was charged with OVI after a traffic
stop on U.S. 33 at Scottslawn Road Saturday at 3:34 a.m.
Joseph Antill, 46, of 814 W. Fifth St., was arrested for OVI after a
traffic stop on Fourth at Main streets Saturday at 11:03 p.m.
Details are pending after a crash this morning resulted in one injury.
Troopers responded to the area of Industrial Parkway at Weldon Road
after driver Jacqueline Jenkins, 30, of Columbus, rolled her vehicle
just before 8 a.m. She was transported to Riverside Methodist Hospital
for injuries and has since been released.
