7/31/07
According to police reports:
Marysville police are investigating a possible
drug lab found in the
trunk of a car Sunday.
Brian T. Osbourne, 34,
Painesville, was arrested at 3:35 a.m. for
driving under suspension after a
traffic stop on U.S. 33, near Waldo
Road. Subsequent to the arrest, police
performed a search of the vehicle
and discovered numerous components often
used for the creation of meth
labs in the trunk.
Units from the Ohio State
Patrol, Union County Sheriffs Office and the
Bureau of Identification and
Investigation assisted in the
investigation. Marysville Fire Department crews
were also on the scene
with the hazardous material response unit, and
officials took possession
of a propane tank thought to contain anhydrous
ammonia. A male and
female were also inside the vehicle and police reported
this morning
that a small amount of possible meth was found on the
female.
Evidence was recovered for further investigation. The case will
be
submitted to the Union County Prosecutor for possible charges
and
remains under investigation.
One person was injured after a driver
struck a parked car in Marysville Saturday.
At 9:02 a.m., Marysville
Journal-Tribune driver Robert D. Craig, 77, of
300 N. Cherry St., was
westbound on Quail Hollow Drive South delivering
newspaper bundles in a Ford
Escape when he struck a Dodge Neon car
legally parked on the side of the
roadway near White Oak Court.
The collision caused Craig's car to roll over
and stop on its side.
Craig was injured in the accident and was transported
to Memorial
Hospital of Union County by Marysville medics. He was cited for
failure
to control a motor vehicle.
A laptop bag was recovered at 3:25
a.m. Saturday, along Raymond Road,
near W. Fifth Street.
A resident in the
17000 block of Timber Lane reported at 10:15 Saturday
that two personal
checks had been taken from her checkbook.
Fred J. Dominguez, 52, of North
Lewisburg, was arrested at 4:45 p.m.
Saturday, charged with having an open
container and driving under the
influence following a traffic stop on
Delaware Avenue.
A resident in the 200 block of Lakeview Drive reported being
involved in
a verbal dispute at 9 p.m. Saturday. No arrests were made.
A
resident in the 600 block of E. Sixth Street reported he was involved
in a
road rage incident on North Main Street at 11:20 p.m. Saturday. The
other
vehicle was an older Ford Explorer, dark in color.
A female reported at 1:06
a.m. Sunday, that an unknown person caused
damage to her vehicle door in a
parking lot at the rear of 125 E. Fifth St.
Edward L. Shaw, 31, was
arrested at 1:50 a.m. Sunday, in the 100 block
of N. Main Street, on an
outstanding warrant from Union County Sheriff's Office.
Robert E. Rummell,
41, of 13877 Watkins Road, was arrested at 2:02 a.m.
Sunday, in the 200 block
of N. Main Street on an outstanding warrant out of Hilliard.
Sexual abuse
of a 9-year-old female by a family member was reported to
have occurred in
the past few months. The case is under investigation in
conjunction with
Union County Department of Job and Family Services.
Leona M. Ellinger, 21,
620 Milford Ave., was charged at 9 a.m. Sunday
with letting her dog run
loose. A resident in the 300 block of W. Ninth
Street reported she was chased
down the street by Mrs. Ellinger's dog.
A resident in the 400 block of
Bridgewater Drive reported the theft of a
Playstation from inside the
apartment at 10:30 a.m. Sunday.
A theft of property was reported from a
vehicle in the 17000 block of
Timber Trails about 2:03 p.m. Sunday.
A
resident in the 500 block of Amrine Mill Road reported that her
daughter left
the house without permission at 4:19 p.m. Sunday.
Two subjects were found
inside of the Locker Room about 2:43 a.m.
Sunday. The pair were making drinks
after permit hours. The incident is
under investigation and will be forwarded
to the Ohio Liquor Commission.
Robert W. Stillwell III, 35, of 225 Caddie
Drive was arrested for
driving under suspension and driving with fictitious
license plates
after a traffic stop on Links Drive Monday at 9:08 p.m.
A
resident reported possible forgery of his vehicle title Monday at
3:24 p.m.
The theft of numerous CDs from an apartment in the 800 block of
Milcrest
Drive was reported Monday at 2:40 p.m.
According to sheriff's
reports:
James Evans, 28, of Springfield, was cited for possession of
drug
paraphernalia after deputies pulled over the car he was a passenger
in
Monday at 10:53 a.m. on Route 161 near Axe Handle Road.
According to
OSP reports:
One person was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash near
Honda of America Friday.
At 4 p.m. Kevin Rees, 42, of 20033 Danville Ave.,
was headed south on
U.S. 33 driving a 2003 Honda Goldwing motorcycle. At the
same time,
driver Jesse Estep, 19, of Newark, was also southbound. Estep
was
reportedly traveling 75 mph in a 65 mph zone, driving a 1991 Eagle
Talon
and swerved into Rees' motorcycle causing the crash.
Rees was
transported by Allen Township medics to Memorial Hospital of
Union County.
Estep was cited for reckless operation and was not
injured. The crash remains
under investigation.

From Police reports:
At midnight Friday, a resident of the 200 block of
Buckeye Street
reported to police that an ex-girlfriend stole his gold
necklace.
A Marysville resident reported at 12:02 p.m. Friday, that while he
was
at a business on South Oak Street, he was threatened in the parking
lot
by two male subjects.
Jeffrey Freeman Jr., 30, of Delaware, and
Rebecca L. Ballard, 19, of 67
Woodcrest Drive, were arrested by police at
3:33 p.m. Friday. Freeman
was arrested for driving under suspension,
falsification and
unauthorized use of a motor vehicle after being stopped in
a vehicle
that was reported stolen out of Columbus. Ballard was charged with
theft
as a result of shoplifting clothing from a business in the 1100 block
of
West Fifth Street.
A resident in the 1200 block of Village Drive
reported that unknown
persons struck his mailbox with an unknown object,
damaging the mailbox.
A pair of 14-year old males was arrested at 7:11
p.m. Friday, charged
with underage consumption after a resident in the 300
block of Sycamore
Street reported that two juveniles were walking through his
yard and
falling down. The juveniles were found and arrested.
Harley J.
Evans, 22, of 67 Woodcrest Drive, was charged with criminal
mischief at 7:12
p.m. Friday. A resident of the 60 block of Woodcrest
Drive told police that a
verbal altercation with Evans became physical.
Machele D. Powers, 23, of
19138 Boerger Road, was arrested at 8:30 p.m.
Friday. She was charged with
theft after a business in the 500 block of
Coleman's Crossing reported to
police that Powers attempted to leave
without paying for numerous
items.
At 8:52 p.m. Friday, a business in the 15000 block of U.S. 36
reported
that a counterfeit $50 bill was seized by its bank. About 43
minutes
later, a business in the 1000 block of Charles Lane reported that
it
received a counterfeit $50 bill.
Brett J. Clemons, 24, of 203 1/2 E.
Sixth St., and Anthony Pitzer, 27,
of West Liberty, were both arrested at
12:29 a.m. Saturday. The pair was
charged with disorderly conduct, after
fighting behind a business in the
100 block of North Main Street.
Raymond
A. Bundy, 23, of Mingo, was arrested at 1:07 a.m. Saturday, in
the 100 block
of Main Street. He was charged with open container and
possession of drug
paraphernalia.
Jeremy L. Speicher, 26, of 511 E. Fifth St. was arrested at
1:09 a.m.
Saturday. He was charged with criminal mischief after he
allegedly
pulled down a hanging basket, owned by the city, in the 100 block
of E. Fifth Street.
According to sheriff's reports:
Burglary was reported Saturday at 1:17 p.m.
in the 20000 block of Peoria
Loop Road. A total of $650 in lawn equipment and
hand tools was stolen.
A $3,000 Pit Bull canine was reported stolen from a
property in the
10000 block of Maple Dell Road Saturday at 3:59 p.m. The
animal was
discovered missing on July 7 and was last seen in Delaware with
a
suspect, who remains under investigation.
A total of $1,375 in silver
coins, electronics and other items was
stolen in a burglary reported Saturday
at 4:32 p.m. on South Mill Street
in Milford Center. The home had been broken
into two times and suspects
are under investigation.
Brandon McKissack,
21, of Hilliard was arrested for possession of
marijuana and Steven Morris,
19, of Hilliard was arrested for possession
of drug paraphernalia after a
traffic stop on U.S. 42 at U.S. 33 Sunday at 1:33 a.m.
Two dogs, valued at
$700, were believed stolen from a property in the
23000 block of Route 47
Sunday at 10:06 a.m. The dogs are one yellow
Labrador retriever and one a
German shepherd.
A 16-year-old male was charged with domestic violence after
fighting
with his 13-year-old brother at their home in the 10000 block of
Tioga
Springs Circle Sunday at 8:37 p.m.
Tuesday at 11:45 a.m. criminal
damaging was reported after an unknown
person loosened the lug nuts on a
vehicle tire in the 15000 block of
Meadowbrook Drive. When the owner drove
the vehicle, the tire came off
and caused $297 in damages to the
axle.
Donald Morris, 39, of 207 Windsor Ct. was charged with having an
open
container of alcohol after he was found drinking in his vehicle at
the
Union County Fairgrounds parking lot Friday at 6:38 p.m.
Charges are
pending from Friday afternoon against a 15-year male for
criminal damaging
after damaging the grand stands at the Union County Fairgrounds.
Timothy
McGhee, 52, of Westerville was arrested for operating a vehicle
intoxicated
and high blood alcohol levels after he was found passed out
in the driver's
seat of his car in the 10000 block of U.S. 42 Friday at 6:25 p.m.
Someone
vandalized the bleachers at the Raymond Elementary School by
using spray
paint Friday.
A man accidentally shot himself in the leg while doing target
practice
Friday at 9 p.m. in the 14000 block of Bellepoint Road. While
lowering
the weapon, it discharged into his right leg. He was transported to
Ohio
State University Hospital for treatment. No charges have been
filed.
A 17-year-old male was charged with underage consumption of alcohol
and
possession of drug paraphernalia Friday at 10 p.m. at the Union
County Fairgrounds.
Burglary was reported Friday at 10:29 p.m. in the
11000 block of Santa
Barbara Drive. Sometime last week someone broke into the
home and stole
wall art and other items totaling $1,438.
Jarod Furrow, 18,
of Richwood was cited for possession of drug
paraphernalia after a stop on
Route 47 on Miller Road Saturday at 1:30 a.m.
Michael Grose, 40, of
Richwood was arrested on Ottawa Street in Richwood
for operating a vehicle
intoxicated, having high blood alcohol levels
and failure to signal a turn
Saturday at 4:09 a.m. At 2:15 a.m. that day
his wife Tara Grose, 36, of
Richwood was also arrested for operating a a
vehicle intoxicated, high blood
alcohol levels and possession of illegal
prescription mediation while parked
in the Richwood Police Department lot.
Michael Hendren, 27, of 22517
McAdow Road was arrested for endangering
children after his 5-year-old son
was found wandering alone near the
pond at the Winter's Campgrounds Saturday
at 10:21 p.m. in the 20000
block of Route 347. Hendren was in a tent on the
campgrounds and was
reportedly not paying attention to the child, who was
later placed in
custody of his mother.
Philip Fullenkamp, 27, of North
Lewisburg was charged with disorderly
conduct and Robert Ferryman, 21, of
North Lewisburg was charged with
disorderly conduct, operating a vehicle
intoxicated and driving under
suspension. The two were found fighting after
they pulled off the
roadway on Maple Ridge Road at Route 245 Saturday at
11:19 a.m.

According to police reports:
Police are investigating a possible sex offense
involving an adult male
teacher and a 15-year-old female student at
Marysville High School.
Assistant Police Chief Glenn Nicol said that the
alleged incident may
have occurred at the school last year. He said details
on the
investigation are pending discussions with the suspect and
victim.
Nicol added that the allegations "did not include sexual
contact."
An unknown person broke into a work shed at an apartment complex in
the
600 block of Watkins Glen Boulevard and stole $750 in air
conditioning
equipment Thursday. The door had been pried open to get
inside.
A 14-year-old female was charged with juvenile unruliness following
an
altercation with her mother in the 600 block of Chestnut Street
Thursday at 11:20 a.m.
Scott A. Grubb, 30, of 411 E. Sixth St. was
arrested and charged with
driving under suspension and possession of drugs
after a traffic stop on
Chestnut Street at Fifth Street Thursday at 5:52
p.m.
Angie Sheperd, 32, of 130 S. Oak St. was arrested and charged
with
criminal trespassing and criminal damaging after she was located
inside
a vacant rental property in the 100 block of West Fourth
Street.
According to sheriff's reports:
Deputies responded to Main Street
in Unionville center for the possible
drug overdose of a 33-year-old man. He
was transported by Pleasant
Valley medics to Memorial Hospital of Union
County Thursday at 11:22 p.m.
An investigation began into a report filed
today at 3:53 a.m. involving
a 12-year-old female who was allegedly raped by
a male family member
several years ago in Paris Township.
According to OSP
reports:
An update was provided on an injury crash between a semi truck and
a
woman driving a car Thursday morning.
At 9:20 a.m. Anne Breneman, 29, of
Mill Ridge Drive was headed east on
Route 739 and was attempting to turn left
to continue north on 739 at
the intersection. At the same time, driver Gary
Buchenroth, 37, of
Bellefontaine was operating a 2005 Frieghtliner semi truck
and was
heading west on Honda Parkway. Breneman reportedly failed to see
the
semi and pulled into its path at the intersection. The
vehicles
collided, and the semi went off the roadway into the ditch. Her
vehicle
suffered sever damage. Both drivers suffered minor visible injuries
and
were transported to Memorial Hospital of Union County. Breneman
was
cited for failure to yield to oncoming traffic.

According to police reports:
A 14-year-old female reported that she was
touched inappropriately by an
adult cousin while in the 100 block of West
Third Street Wednesday at 3:10 p.m.
Shoplifting was reported Wednesday at
3:39 p.m. at a business in the 500
block of Coleman's Crossing Boulevard.
Shaun N. Russell, 24, of 37
Butternut Drive, was charged with stealing a
$14.88 CD.
An Ohio Department of Transportation vehicle was damaged with
yellow
paint found on the driver side tires and the wheel wells
Wednesday.
On Wednesday a business in the 1000 block of North Main Street
reported
that someone stole a security key.
Burglary was reported
Wednesday evening after a resident in the 400
block of Allenby Drive reported
that someone had broken into his
apartment and stole an Xbox 360 valued at
$700 and eight Xbox games.
There were no signs of forced entry.
Scott C.
Ellinger, 35, of 620 Milford Ave., was arrested Wednesday at
6:51 p.m. at the
entrance to the Union County Fairgrounds on an
outstanding warrant issued by
the Marysville Municipal Court.
Rusty A. Wilson, 32, of 20145 Lowe Road, was
arrested Wednesday at 7:58
p.m. for an outstanding warrant issued by the
Marysville Municipal Court.
The owner of a rental property in the 100
block of West Fourth Street
reported Wednesday that someone was living in his
vacant property. He
had found items belonging to a woman inside the
property.
A resident of Milford Center reported today that someone stole
three to
five gallon containers of gasoline from the bed of her truck
on
Wednesday. The truck was parked in the 500 block of Coleman's
Crossing Boulevard.
Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. a girl was bitten by an English
sheep dog in the
900 block of Catalpa Place. Details of the injury were not
available before press time.

According to police reports:
A resident in the 740 block of Meadows Drive
reported at 1:02 a.m.
Tuesday that an unknown person was seen inside an
apartment that was
being vacated. No one was located inside the
apartment.
A resident in the 600 block of Allenby Drive reported Tuesday at 7
a.m.
that several prescription medications and miscellaneous jewelry
were
stolen from her residence. No further details were available at
press time.
Tuesday at 10:47 hours a resident in the 1500 block of Valley
Drive
reported that an unknown person(s) stole a radar detector from
his
unlocked vehicle.
Police are investigating the death of a 42-year-old
resident in his
residence in the 200 block of Greenwood Boulevard that was
reported
Tuesday at 11:35 a.m.
A resident in the 400 block of Windmill
Drive reported Tuesday at 11:59
a.m. that an unknown person(s) damaged the
window screen in an attempt
to enter the apartment.
A resident in the 300
block of Restoration Drive reported Tuesday at
4:34 p.m. that an unknown
person) removed her purse from her unlocked
vehicle. Items stolen were cash,
a camera, several personal ID's and
miscellaneous credit cards.
A resident
in the 30 block of Butternut Drive reported that an unknown
person(s) struck
his vehicle with an unknown object causing damage. It
was reported Tuesday at
6:50 p.m.
Steven K. Dillow, 51, Harriott Road, was arrested on an
outstanding
warrant through the Marysville Municipal Court today at 12:35
a.m.
James R. Brown, 20, of 1024 Coventry Place, was arrested on
an
outstanding warrant through the Common Please Court of Union
County
today at 2:47 a.m.
According to sheriff's reports:
At 8:52 p.m.
Tuesday, deputies responded to the 26000 block of Route 4
in reference to a
theft. The reporting party said a table saw was
reported missing from his
home. Estimated loss was $50. The case remains
under investigation.
Units
at the fair responded to a fight call at 8:14 p.m. Tuesday. The
victim
reported that he was assaulted by a 15-year old male. The two had
an ongoing
feud. The man had injuries to his face and was taken to
Memorial Hospital of
Union County where he was treated and released. The
suspect was arrested and
taken to Central Ohio Youth Center.
Deputies received a third-party call
about an unruly juvenile in the
17000 block of Boundary Road. The reporting
party said there was an
altercation between an adult female and her two
children, an 11-year old
male and a 14-year old female.
The children
alleged the mother was verbally and physically abusive. The
mother said it
was the children who were abusive. The children were
taken to their father's
home. No charges have been filed and the
incident remains under
investigation.
Mazin Shamoon, 38, of Cleves, was arrested this morning. He is
charged
with felonious assault, a second-degree felony punishable by as many
as
eight years in prison. At 3:45 a.m. deputies at the
fairgrounds
responded to an assault call. The victim, a 39-year old male
vendor who
was staying on the fairgrounds, reported that he got into an
altercation
with Shamoon, also a vendor who was staying at the
fairgrounds.
The victim reported that Shamoon hit him in the face and knocked
him
down. Once the victim fell, Shamoon allegedly continued to kick
and punch the victim.
7/24/07
From sheriff's office reports:
A resident from the 10000 block of Route 736
in Darby Township told
deputies about 11:30 p.m. Monday that on Saturday her
teenage son was
playing outside with some friends. As a joke, the boy rang a
neighbor's
doorbell. The homeowner became irate with the juvenile. No charges
have
been filed. The mother just wanted a report about the
matter.
Deputies responded to the 9000 block of Monterey Drive about 7:59
p.m.
Sunday on a report of a domestic dispute. The woman said she and
her
husband are going through a separation. She said the pair are
having
disagreements. The woman wanted the matter documented by law
enforcement
officials. No charges have been filed.
Between Sunday and
Monday on the property of A to Z Field Services in
the 7000 block of
Industrial Parkway, an unknown person broke into two
vehicles. About $525
worth of hand tools were taken from the vehicles.
Damage to the vehicles is
estimated at $400. The investigation is ongoing.
Deputies took a report of
a vehicle that was vandalized sometime between
Friday and Monday while parked
in a lot in the 8000 block of Corporate
Boulevard. No property was taken from
the vehicle, but damage is estimated at $1,000.
A black go-cart, several
homemade go-cart parts and sheets of metal
were reported stolen from the
8000 block of Corporate Boulevard. The
theft took place sometime between
Saturday and Monday. Losses were
estimated at $1,900. The case remains under
investigation.
At 4:36 p.m. Monday, a report of identity theft was taken from
a
resident in the 20000 block of Bear Swamp Road. The reporting party
said
she has received several bills from a Columbus Hospital. She said
she
has never been to that hospital. Bills total about $11,400. The
matter
is under investigation.
A criminal damaging report was taken Sunday
morning from a resident in
the 13000 block of Watkins Road. The resident said
at 1:30 a.m., a noise
was heard outside the residence. The homeowner went
outside to
investigate and found the mailbox had been damaged.
Deputies
took a report of telephone harassment early this morning. The
victim, from
the 300 block of May Street in Magnetic Springs, told law
enforcement
officials that between July 16 and today at 1:02 a.m., she
has received
numerous obscene phone calls from an unknown male. No
threats have been made.
The matter is under investigation.
At 10:46 a.m. Thursday while on North
Darby-Coe Road, deputies recovered
a pair of green address markers. The
markers had the numbers 15375 and
15839 on them. Anyone who has lost these
markers is asked to call the
sheriff's office at 645-4100.
From Police
reports:
A resident of the 300 block of Retreat Lane reported at 8:30 a.m.
Monday
that she woke up and found her front door screen had been cut.
She
stated that nothing else had been touched or was missing. About

minutes later, another resident of the 300 block of Retreat
Lane
reported that her screen was also cut.
A 9-year-old boy was reported
missing about 10:29 a.m. Monday. He was
located at 11:11 a.m. in the 400
block of West Third Street.
At 1:12 p.m. Monday, a business in the 15000
block of Watkins Road
reported that an unknown person broke the rear window
of a truck then
attempted to hot-wire and steal the vehicle.
7/23/07
According to sheriff's reports:
A Union County man was arrested for abducting
and assaulting a girl Saturday.
Reports show that at approximately 4 p.m.
that day Robert D. Lawhorn,
24, of 14228 Pleasant Ridge Road, was being
driven home from a residence
in Raymond by his 20-year-old ex-girlfriend.
Sometime during the ride
Lawhorn became upset, put the girl in a headlock
while she was driving,
and struck her in the head. He made her pull the car
over in the area of
Route 347 at Reed Road and pushed her into the passenger
seat so he
could drive. Sheriff's deputies reported that Lawhorn then drove
the
girl to Columbus against her will.
The woman suffered injuries to her
forehead and nose from the incident.
Lawhorn had somehow made it back to
Raymond and was later found walking
down Route 31 near Cottonslash Road,
where he was arrested for
third-degree felony abduction and a misdemeanor
assault charge.
A grand theft breaking and entering report occurred Friday
sometime
between midnight and 7 a.m. Someone forced entry into buildings on
a
property in the 7400 block of Highland Croy Road and stole a 2000
Ford
F150 truck and utility trailer, along with numerous hand and
power
tools. The total loss was listed as $26,175.
A basement door was
reported damaged Friday in the 15000 block of Maple
Ridge Road after someone
tried to break into the doorway. No entry was
made from the incident and
nothing was stolen.
Larry Smetanko, 44, of Hilliard, was arrested for
operating a vehicle
intoxicated, high blood alcohol levels and speeding after
a traffic stop
on Industrial Parkway at Estate Parkway Saturday at 1:08
a.m.
Lola B. Boyer, 30, of North Lewisburg, was arrested for operating
a
vehicle intoxicated, high blood alcohol levels, driving under
suspension
and failure to signal a turn after a traffic stop on Chestnut at
Sixth
streets Saturday at 4:59 a.m.
Janet R. Ward, 43, of North Lewisburg,
was arrested for operating a
vehicle intoxicated, high blood alcohol levels
and driving outside of
marked lanes Sunday at 2:45 a.m. on Middleburg Plain
City Road at
Woodstock Road.
A business in the 21000 block of Main Street
in Raymond reported that
checks totaling $750 in insufficient funds were
received Sunday.
Andrea Bean, 34, of Sunbury, was cited for possession of
drugs and drug
paraphernalia after a traffic stop on Route 37 at Franklin
Street in
Richwood today at 3:50 a.m.
According to police reports:
Two
males were reportedly observed breaking into cars in the Scott Farms
area
Friday between 5 and 6 a.m. A resident in the 600 block of
Evergreen Circle
reported that change and a camera were stolen from his
car. Other residents
reported that someone had gone through their vehicles.
A resident in the
400 block of Bent Tree Drive reported that CDs were
stolen from his car
Thursday night.
A business in the 15000 block of U.S. 36 east reported a
customer cashed
a fraudulent check for $4,750 Friday at 9:58 a.m.
Friday
at 2:41 p.m. a resident in the 1500 block of Cinnamon Drive
reported that his
two cars were entered and an Air Force military jacket
and $12 in cash were
stolen.
A resident in the 1600 block of Meadowlark Lane reported someone
had
rummaged around in his car Friday.
Stereo equipment, various tools,
CDs and a garage door opener were
stolen from a car parked in the 1400 block

Street. He was
then arrested and charged with drug abuse and possession of
drug
paraphernalia after police found he had a small amount of
marijuana.
Daniel G. Wonnell, 23, of Westerville, was arrested today at 2:40
a.m.
and charged with operating a vehicle intoxicated after a traffic stop
on
East Fifth Street at Delaware Avenue.

A brown leather wallet containing $150 in cash, a bank card and

identification, was stolen out of a car parked at a business on
Charles Lane Wednesday.
A resident in the 500 block of East Tenth Street
reported DVDs were
stolen from her bedroom sometime between June 10 and
Wednesday.
Child neglect was reported Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. after a resident
in
the 700 block of North Maple Street reported that a 7-year-old girl

often outside for hours at a time, and sometimes until late in

A resident reported he was in the 100 block of North

person kicked in the driver's side rear door of his car

with a gray pony tail, black leather jacket and pants stole $13.30

Deputies responded at 9:32 a.m. Saturday to a home in the 1700 block
of
Boundary Road on a report of a vandalized mailbox. The mailbox
was
burned and destroyed. The incident remains under investigation.
A
resident in the 8000 block of Route 736 contacted the sheriff's office
at
9:29 a.m. Monday regarding a theft. The resident told deputies that
someone
used his bank card to make withdraws online from the card
holders bank
account. The victim reported four withdraws, totaling
$376.90. The sheriff's
office said there could be additional withdraws
that have not been posted
yet. The alleged theft is under investigation
by both the sheriff's office
and the victim's financial institution.
Deputies took a report Monday at
11:59 a.m. regarding an alleged theft.
A resident from the 14000 block of
Sycamore Drive reported that he
purchased a vehicle from another man several
weeks ago. While the man
paid for the vehicle, he has yet to receive the
vehicle or the title. No
charges have been filed and the incident remains
under investigation.
At 9:12 a.m. Monday, sheriff's deputies reported to a
residence in the
23000 block of Route 739 on a report of a deceased woman.
Family members
called the office and the fire department when they could not
wake the
33-year-old woman, who had a well-documented terminal illness. The
woman
was deceased when authorities arrived at the scene. The coroner
has
cleared the case.
Units responded to the 8000 block of Memorial Drive
at 12:14 p.m.
Monday. The reporting party said he had been threatened by
his
supervisor at work. No charges have been filed and the incident
remains
under investigation.
Deputies responded to a business in the 900
block of London Avenue at
9:54 a.m. Monday. The reporting party told
investigators that on several
occasions money has disappeared from one of the
business' cash drawers.

A woman went to the sheriff's office to report a
custody dispute. The
woman said her husband had left their home and taken the
couple's child.
The woman told investigators she has sole court-ordered
custody of the
child. Deputies confirmed that the woman is the legal guardian
of the
child. The went to the home where the man was staying. Custody
was
returned to the mother without incident. No charges have been
filed.
Units were dispatched to the 10000 block of Route 4 in Union Township
at
5:48 p.m. Monday. The reporting party said sometime between 11:50
a.m.
and 5:45 p.m., someone forcibly entered their home. The only thing
taken
was liquor. No loss estimate has been determined. No charges have
been

Information on a Monday injury crash west of

today. At 11:10 p.m. that day driver John Wilson, 65,

headed west on Route 161 when he suffered a medical episode
which caused
him to lose control of his car and go off the left side of the
road. His
vehicle struck a tree, causing him injuries. Wilson was transported
to
Mt. Caramel West Hospital and was treated and released.

been shot, but not

he spotted an illegally parked car at a home. When going to the door
the
deputy witnessed an underage party going on of juveniles
drinking alcohol.
Vandalism of a golf cart and property were reported to
have occurred
overnight from Saturday to Sunday in the 20000 block of Route
4. An
estimated $260 in damages has been documented.
A 27-year-old female
was transported for medical care after overdosing
on drugs Sunday at 1:59
p.m. on East Park Street in Magnetic Springs. No
charges have been
filed.
A mailbox was reportedly burned to the ground overnight Saturday in

Friday at 4 p.m. a woman reported that her
6-year-old step daughter was
physically abused while visiting family in the
1200 block of Pepper Lane.
Matthew S. Phipps, 20, of 219 Cypress Drive,
was arrested on an
outstanding warrant issued by the Marysville Municipal
Court Friday at
10:04 p.m. after a traffic stop on West Fifth Street at
Buckeye Street.
A 17-year-old female in the vehicle was found in possession
of a plastic
straw with a white substance suspected to be drug-related.
Charges are
currently under investigation.
James S. Sobek, 27, of 53 Sumac
Drive, was arrested and charged with
domestic violence after a fight with his
wife and step-son Saturday at
12:16 a.m. at their home.
Angie M. Shepherd,
32, of 130 S. Oak St., was arrested on an outstanding
warrant issued by
Delaware County Saturday at 3:08 p.m.
Lauren A. Kleiber, 19, of 590 Meadows
Drive, was arrested for possession
of drug paraphernalia; Brent Wells, 18, of
680 Meadows Drive, was
arrested for possession of drugs; and a 17-year-old
male was arrested
for a juvenile tobacco violation after a complain was made
that people
were smoking marijuana in the parking lot of a business in the
500 block
of Coleman's Crossing Boulevard Saturday at 7:57 p.m.
Criminal
mischief was reported Saturday at 9:17 p.m. after juveniles
tried to gain
entry to the concession stand in the 600 block of Amrine Mill Road.
Police
provided medical assistance after it was reported a man was
sitting
unresponsive in his vehicle on Southard Road. A heart condition
was believed
to be the cause. Officers used the defibrillator and
started CPR until
Marysville medics arrived Saturday at 10:08 p.m.
Dane K. Brown, 25, of 220
Greenwood Blvd. Apt. 2C, was arrested Sunday
at 12:37 a.m. for two counts of
child endangering and one count of
criminal damaging in relation to a traffic
stop in which he had been
drinking alcohol and his license was under
suspension.
William L. Vermilion, 44, of 544 Meadows Drive, was arrested
Sunday at
3:43 a.m. for disorderly conduct after a fight in the 700 block
of Meadows Drive.
A 10-year-old male broke a fence by hitting it with a
baseball bat and
then tried to set a nearby field on fire with a sparkler
Sunday at 6:29
p.m. No charges were filed and the incident was handled by a
parent.
Jonathon E. Taylor, 38, of 1037 Watkins Glen Court, was charged
with
possession of drug paraphernalia when officers came for his arrest on
an
outstanding warrant Saturday at 5:20 p.m.

An unknown person used a BB gun to shoot out the windshields of two
cars
parked in the 16000 block of Martin Welch Road Wednesday at 7:55
p.m.
Credit card fraud was reported Thursday at 4:26 p.m. in the 21000
block
of Shirk Road after $518 in charges were made to a woman's card
without permission.
No charges have been filed after an incident Friday at
12:16 p.m. on
West Main Street in Plain City, after a woman claimed she was
grabbed
and pushed during a dispute.
Matthew Easton, 21, of 14013 Oxford
Drive, was arrested for operating a
vehicle intoxicated, high blood alcohol
levels and driving outside of
marked lanes Saturday at 2:41 a.m. after a
traffic stop on U.S. 33 at the rest area.
Saturday at 6:48 p.m. a resident
reported possible identification theft
after their credit card company called
to confirm charges that were made
by an unknown person.
Deputies
investigated a mailbox fire in the 32000 block of Dutton Road at 1:19
a.m.
A window was broken out by a water balloon Saturday at 11:30 p.m.
on
Ross Avenue in Dublin. No charges have been filed.
Craige Willoughby,
27, of Roundhead, was charged with driving under
suspension and possession of
an alcoholic beverage while driving on
Honda parkway at U.S. 33 Sunday at
5:35 a.m.
According to OSP reports:
Information was released on two injury
crashes that occurred in Union County on Friday.
At 2:34 p.m. that day
driver Ryan W. Inskeep, 28, of 2033 Shetland St.,
was headed northeast in his
Toyota Camry on Route 4 when he stopped to
turn west onto Hillview Road.
Driver Duane L. Rutherford, 46, of
Bellefontaine, was behind him and was
unable to stop his Mack dump truck
in time. The truck went left of center,
striking Inskeep's vehicle in
the driver side as he turned left. Inskeep was
injured in the crash and
transported by Marysville medics to Memorial
Hospital of Union County.
At 4 p.m. on Friday a three-car crash tied up
traffic along U.S. 36 and
resulted in injuries. Drivers Kristy D. Case, 48,
of 12199 Dover County
Line Road, and Peggy A. Eubanks, 49, of Mt. Victory,
were both northeast
bound on U.S. 36. As Case slowed to turn into a private
drive, Eubanks
also slowed, but was struck from behind by Melody A. Braun,
21, of
Sunbury. The crash caused Eubanks' car to strike Case's vehicle as
well.
Eubanks and Braun were both injured and transported by Marysville
medics
to Memorial Hospital of Union County.

According to police reports:
Rickie L. Diamond, 19, of West Liberty, was
arrested and charged with
assault today at 1:22 a.m. after a fight in the 700
block of Meadows Drive.
Aaron A. Anderson, 16, of 10761 Watkins Road, was
injured after crashing
his 1979 Yamaha motorcycle Thursday at 9:36 p.m.
Anderson was headed
north on Scottslawn Road when he rode through some gravel
on the roadway
at a construction area, lost control and slid several feet on
the
pavement. Medics transported Anderson to Memorial Hospital of
Union
County for injuries.
Shannon E. Hay, 31, of 213 W. Third St., was
arrested and charged with
driving under suspension and driving without a
license after a traffic
stop on Coleman's Crossing Boulevard today at 1:49
a.m.
Reese M. Lane, 24, of Bellefontaine, was arrested in the 600 block
of
Kenny Lane Thursday at 9:35 p.m. for an outstanding warrant issued
by
Champaign County.
A resident in the 700 block of Kenny Lane reported
Thursday at 7:34 p.m.
that someone opened a credit card and cell phone
service in her name.
A resident in the 500 block of Surrey Lane reported
Thursday at 4:48
p.m. that someone stole her cell phone and $30 gift card
while camping
in Cross Creek.
A total of 40 feet in copper tubing was
stolen from a home under
construction in the 1500 block of Tamarac Drive
Thursday.
An unknown person spray painted a shoe logo several times on the
side of
a house in the 1400 block of Pepper Lane Thursday.

According to police reports:
A resident of the 300 block of Sycamore Drive
reported about 8:30 a.m.
Tuesday that someone stole her son's orange bike
from the Marysville City Pool.
A vehicle was reported scratched at 10:11
a.m. Tuesday in the 500 block of East Fifth Street.
A business in the
16000 block of Allenby Drive reported that at about
11:30 a.m. Tuesday, a
customer left without paying for $46.20 worth of gasoline.
A resident of
the 200 block of West Fourth Street reported that about
3:38 p.m. Tuesday, a
pair of female juveniles stole two debit cards and
$200 in cash from her
purse which had been located inside her parked
vehicle. The debit cards were
later found.
Officers recovered a .22-caliber rifle found in the street in
front of a
home in the 100 block of South Cherry Street about 7:58 p.m.
Wednesday.
Earl E. Speicher, 22, of 214 Greenwood Blvd., unit L, was arrested
about
8:04 p.m. Wednesday, charged with driving under suspension. He
was
stopped on South Vine Street, near East Sixth Street.
A resident in
the 100 block of Lakeside Circle reported at 8:05 p.m.
Wednesday, that her
ex-husband took their 10-year-old daughter to North
Carolina without the
mother's permission. The trip, the woman reported,
was outside the couple's
custody agreement.
Archie E. Moore, 29, of 925 W. Fifth St., was arrested
about 2:26 a.m.
Thursday, charged with one count of operating a vehicle
intoxicated,
drug abuse and willful and wanton disregard for safety following
a
traffic stop on West Third Street at Sycamore Street.
According to
sheriff's reports:
A burglary was reported between in the 2300 block of Route
47. The
reporting party said the burglary happened sometime between Friday
and
Wednesday. The door of the home was kicked in and several small
objects,
valued at $31, were taken. The matter remains under
investigation.
Deputies responded to the 7,000 block of Currier Road at 8:45
p.m.
Sunday on a call of a burglary in progress. A witness had watched as
an
unknown person jumped a fence onto the property. When deputies
arrived,
they found the home had been entered. A checkbook and some pills
were
taken. The suspect was not located. The matter remains
under investigation.
A woman reported at 12:15 p.m. Monday that her
17-year-old son was
missing after he took the woman's 1987 Honda Accord form
the family's
home on East Center Street in Unionville Center.
Nathan Arron
Elkins 30, of 7843 Currier Road, was arrested at 2:44 a.m.
Wednesday, charged
with one count of persistent disorderly conduct and
one count of domestic
violence, both misdemeanors of the fourth degree.
Earlier that night, the man
returned to his home intoxicated. He got
into a verbal altercation with
another resident of the home. He pushed a
large screen television onto its
side and threw a laptop computer before
the sheriff's office was called.
A
juvenile was arrested following a crash at 2:17 a.m. Tuesday in the
1100
block of Route 736. Deputies responded to the crash scene.
Witnesses told
investigators the boy was driving northbound at a high
rate of speed when he
lost control of his vehicle and failed to
negotiate a curve. The boy's
vehicle went off the right side of the
road, the driver overcompensated
pulling the vehicle back onto the road,
then off the left side where it
struck a trash can, a drain tile, and a
telephone pole before hitting the
ditch which ultimately stopped it.
The boy told deputies he had swerved to
miss a deer. After further
investigation, deputies suspected the boy was
under the influence of
alcohol. He was taken to Memorial Hospital of Union
County where he was
treated and released. The boy was charged with failure to
control and
driving without a license. The pole was broken at the base,
but
standing. The car received extensive damage. The incident remains
under investigation.
Johnny R. Bailey, 37, of 67 Commercial St. in Milford
Center, was
arrested about 6:13 p.m. Tuesday, charged with one count of
assault on a
peace officer, a felony of the fourth degree. Deputies responded
to a
domestic violence call from the address. When they arrived at the
home,
Bailey allegedly ran from the deputies. He was ordered to stop
numerous
times. When he did stop, Bailey allegedly attempted to strike a
deputy.
The man was stunned. He was ordered to the ground. He then
allegedly
began choking a deputy, which resulted in minor scratches on
the
officer's neck. The incident remains under investigation.
Karley
Bigger, 22, of 100 S. Brinker St. in Columbus and Matthew
Raymond, 43, of 701
W. Mill St., Lot 52, in North Lewisburg, were both
arrested about 5:45 p.m.
Tuesday following a traffic stop on Industrial
Parkway at Beecher-Gamble
Road. A deputy pulled the vehicle over and
issued a warning for a violation.
The deputy then asked for permission
to search the vehicle. Before beginning
the search, the deputy asked if
there were any narcotics in the vehicle.
A
passenger in the backseat handed the deputy a glass pipe and a small
glass
jar containing what is believed to be marijuana along with some
rolling
paper. Bigger was charged with misdemeanor possession of drug
paraphernalia
and possession of marijuana for the contents of the jar.
Raymond was charged
with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia
for the pipe.
A woman
reported finding a .22-caliber handgun about 5 p.m. Monday along
the side of
Langstaff Road, near Kenny Pike. The woman did not know
anything about the
gun and turned it over to deputies. The incident
remains under investigation.
Anyone with information on the gun is asked
to call the sheriff's office at

A woman reported that about 4 p.m. Monday, an unknown person
came onto
her property in the 27,000 block of Zook Road. The woman said the
man
pulled up in a small truck, reached into his back seat and pulled
out
beer. The woman retreated to her bedroom and locked the door. She
said
the man came to the door and knocked, though the woman did not
answer.
Later the woman went to her car and found a six-pack of beer in
the passenger seat.
About 9:10 a.m. Wednesday, a deputy observed a white
and silver
motorcycle traveling northbound on U.S. 42. The vehicle was
traveling
about 100 miles-per-hour and weaving in and out of traffic. The
deputy
gave chase to the motorcycle, which turned southbound onto Jerome
Road.
As the deputy was following, the motorcycle made a U-turn in the
road
and passed the deputy's cruiser in the other lane. The motorcycle
turned
onto Watkins Road, then onto State Road. The deputy lost the
motorcycle
when it went into Delaware County. The incident remains
under investigation.
A resident of the 900 block of Trail End Road
reported that sometime
between Monday, June 18, and Thursday, June 21, an
unknown person
entered an unlocked front porch and took a B.B. gun and some
B.B.s. The
taken items were valued at $90. The incident remains
under investigation.

According to police reports:
Jason Meeks, 32, of 332 1/2 W. Third St., was
arrested for assault
Monday at 3:15 p.m. after allegedly striking his
girlfriend during an
argument at the home.
Charges are under investigation
after a fight reportedly occurred Monday
at 3:30 p.m. at the Eljer Park
skateboarding area. Two males were
involved and then left in separate
cars.
A resident reported Monday that someone had been stealing services
after
illegally dumping their trash in the Kenny Lane apartment bins on
June 27.
An unknown man walked into the Wal-Mart Supercenter on
Coleman's
Crossing Boulevard at 12:22 p.m. on June 25, grabbed a TV from a
display
area and walked out of the store. The theft remains under
investigation.
On Friday a Watkins Glen Boulevard man discovered that a
credit card was
opened in his name, possibly by tenants in his former
apartment in Texas.
According to sheriff's reports:
Deputies responded
to the 24000 block of Storms Road Sunday at 1:59 a.m.
for a 911 call
regarding a juvenile looking for his father. On the
scene, three juveniles
ages 14, 15 and 16 years old were possibly
intoxicated. One had a large bump
on his head. None of the juveniles
would cooperate with deputies and were
subsequently taken into custody
for blood alcohol tests. Charges are pending
against the three for
underage consumption of alcohol and
unruliness.
Burglary was reported Monday at 11:05 p.m. after several hundred
dollars
in cash were stolen from a home on First Street in Milford
Center.
A plastic mailbox was set on fire in the 26000 block of Sandusky
Road Friday.
Deputies assisted Plain City Police Department in the arrest
of a man
for domestic violence Sunday at 1:40 a.m. on First Avenue. During
the
man's arrest officers also had to restrain the suspect's wife, who
began
kicking and yelling to prevent the arrest. After being warned
several
times to stop being belligerent the woman was arrested for
obstructing
law enforcement business.
Christopher Miller, 18, of Dublin,
was cited for possession of drug
paraphernalia and marijuana after a traffic
stop in the 10000 block of
Watkins Road Sunday at 8:58 p.m.

Chad D. Long, 33, of Plain City was arrested
for disorderly conduct
after he was found intoxicated on a porch on Chestnut
Street Friday at 6:23 a.m.
Child endangering was reported Friday at 11:30
a.m. after two young boys
were found running around with no adult supervision
in the Mill Valley
area. A 2-year-old and a 4-year-old were held by
Children's Services for
more than three hours until a parent could be
identified. The incident
is currently under investigation.
Harry A.
Schuttle III, 55, of Rockbridge was arrested Friday at 2:53
p.m. for
disorderly conduct after he was found intoxicated in the 100
block of South
Plum Street.
A woman reported she left items in a dryer at a business on east
Fifth
Street and when she returned they had been stolen Friday at 5:26
p.m.
A woman found $39 on the ground and turned it over to a church on
South
Oak Street Friday at 6:30 p.m. The church then turned the money over
to
the Marysville Police.
Leann M. Brust, 32, of Bellefontaine and Ryan L.
Brashears, 24, of 16435
County Home Road were both arrested separately Friday
at 10:45 p.m. and
10:50 p.m. for disorderly conduct after they were found
urinating in a
parking lot on Columbus Avenue.
A woman delivering pizza to
a hotel on Square Drive reported that a
white male tried to rob her when she
was walking back to her vehicle
Friday at 11 p.m. Nothing was stolen in the
incident, which remains
under investigation.
A house was egged in the 500
block of Millwood Boulevard Saturday at 12:30 a.m.

of 231 1/2 W. Fourth St. was arrested Saturday at
2:12 a.m. for having an
open container of alcohol and disorderly conduct
in the 100 block of North
Main Street.
Thomas E. Gordon, 33, of 236 Cypress Drive was arrested Saturday
at 2:28
a.m. for having an open container of alcohol in the 100 block of
North Main Street.
A checkbook and cell phone were stolen out of a car
parked in the 600
block of East Fifth Street Saturday at 11:45 a.m.

A. Grubb, 30, of 411 E. Sixth St. was arrested Saturday at 5:35
p.m. for
driving under suspension, having no operator's license and
possession of drug
paraphernalia after a traffic stop on East Fifth Street.
A resident in the
700 block of Collins Avenue reported that after an
argument with her husband,
he slashed tires on both of her cars Saturday at 6 p.m.
James A. Beswick,
25, of 741 Kenny Lane, Apt. D was arrested for
obstructing official police
business after he was found hiding in a box
at his apartment when officers
arrived to arrest him on an outstanding
warrant. Beswick was found with the
assistance of a K-9 unit Saturday at 9:45 p.m.
Tiffany D. Hoffman, 18, of
543 E. Fifth St. was arrested Sunday at 1:40
a.m. for having an open
container of alcohol and underage consumption.
James O. Combs, 24, of 123 W.
Sixth St. was also arrested for having an
open container. The two were found
walking and drinking from a bottle on
South Main Street.
Several people
were arrested for underage possession of alcohol after
police were called to
a party at 323 S. Main St. Sunday at 3:15 a.m.

vehicle.

menacing after driving recklessly to a home on Main Street in
Magnetic
Springs to make verbal threats to someone Friday at 8:09
p.m.
Road signs were discovered removed from Yearsley, Powderlick and
other
roads in York Township Saturday at 4:25 a.m.
Angela Silas, 28, of
Washington Courthouse was cited for possession of
marijuana and Monica A.
Lambert, 22, of Gordon, W.V. was cited for
possession of drug paraphernalia
after a traffic stop on U.S. 33
eastbound Saturday at 3:42 a.m.
A mailbox
was damaged with the use of a homemade explosive device
sometime over the
weekend in the 32000 block of Hamilton Road.
Kevin M. Harper, 42, of Columbus
was arrested for possession of drug
paraphernalia and marijuana after a
traffic stop on Route 4 north of
Pharisburg Saturday at 7:28
p.m.
According to OSP reports:
Lewis Butterfield, 22, of 601 Mill Street
North Lewis was cited for
failure to control his vehicle and operating a
vehicle intoxicated
Sunday at 6:37 a.m.
Butterfield was westbound on Route
245 when he lost control and drove
off the right side of the road,
overcorrected twice, swerving off both
sides of the roadway, until his car
rolled over onto its top. He refused
medical treatment at the scene and was
arrested
