10/31/07
According to police reports:
A business in the 100 block of Emmaus Drive
reported Tuesday at noon
that a leaf blower was stolen.
Vandalism was
reported at a business in the 100 block of Damascus Road
Tuesday at 4:55 p.m.
An unknown suspect spray painted the back door.
According to sheriff's
reports:
Vandalism was reported Monday at 9:38 a.m. after a Union Rural
Electric
security light on Ketch Road has repeatedly been shot
out.
According to OSP reports:
A full report was issued on a one-car crash
that occurred on Currier
Road Monday morning.
Driver Kevin Chandler, 18,
of Plain City was driving a 1994 Acura east
on Currier Road when he lost
control and went off the right side of the
road, overcorrected and then went
off the left side of the road a struck a tree.
Chandler suffered minor
injuries in the crash, but was not transported
for medical care. A
17-year-old male passenger was not injured.

According to police reports:
Crystal Goodson, 42, of 122 S. Walnut St., was
arrested for operating a
vehicle intoxicated, driving outside of marked lanes
and driving under
suspension during a traffic stop on Square Drive today at
4:39 a.m.
A bottle was thrown through a window of a car parked in the 900
block of
West Fifth Street today.
A parent in the 800 block of Watkins
Glen Boulevard reported today at
12:43 a.m. that her 15-year-old son ran away
with a friend.
A parent in the 500 block of London Avenue reported Monday at
9:06 p.m.
that her 15-year-old son had run away.
Several objects were
stolen from a business in the 800 block of
Coleman's Crossing Boulevard
Monday at 6:34 p.m.
Monday at 1:11 p.m. a resident in the 700 block of North
Maple Street
reported checks had been stolen out of her mailbox and
cashed.
A car was keyed in the 700 block of Collins Avenue
Monday.
According to sheriff's reports:
Monday at 10:42 a.m. the theft of
a John Deere tractor was reported
from the 27000 block of Route 739. The
vehicle had already been found by
deputies on patrol over the weekend and the
tractor is expected to be
returned to the owner. The investigation of the
theft continues.
Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Martin Welch Road
for a report
of domestic violence Monday at 1:10 p.m. Two brothers, a
14-year-old and
a 17-year-old, were involved in a fight at the home. The two
were
arrested and sent to the Central Ohio Youth Center.

According to sheriff's reports:
A home in the 13000 block of Route 47 was
burglarized Thursday and a
Playstation II, DVDs and games were stolen. A
family member, James
McCarty, 22, of Richwood, was suspected and eventually
charged with one
count of burglary.
Brian Fisher, 48, of Cable, was
charged with driving with an open
container of alcohol after a traffic stop
on West Fifth Street Friday at 4:45 p.m.
A car parked at a business in the
8000 block of Industrial Parkway was
broken into. The dashboard and the
stereo were damaged and 100 CDs stolen.
Angel Shaffer, 37, of 16640 Martin
Welch Road, was charged with domestic
violence after reportedly fighting with
her 17-year-old son Friday.
Saturday at 9:04 p.m. vandalism was reported in
the 32000 block of Route
31. A fence post had $770 in damages.
The front
door was damaged on a home in the 11000 block of U.S. 36
Saturday in a
possible burglary attempt.
Rodney Morgan, 54, of Ostrander, was arrested for
operating a vehicle
intoxicated, driving under suspension, and driving
outside of marked
lanes Saturday at 11:50 p.m. on Jerome Road at U.S.
42.
Ryan Bopp, 30, of Kenton, was arrested for operating a
vehicle
intoxicated and failure to signal a lane change Saturday at 3:28 a.m.
on
the off ramp of Route 4 to U.S. 33.
Shawn King, 37, of Richmond, Ind.,
was cited for possession of an open
container of alcohol Saturday at 10:38
a.m. on U.S. 42.
Saturday at 5:47 p.m. attempted burglary was investigated in
the 24000
block of Perkins Road. Nothing has been reported stolen at this
time.
Sunday at 3:49 a.m. Nathan Thuerk, 26, of 245 Springwood Lane,
was
arrested for operating a vehicle intoxicated, high blood alcohol
levels,
speeding and driving outside of marked lanes after a stop on U.S.
33 westbound.
Tobi Wilson, 28, of Richwood, was arrested for disorderly
conduct after
he was found intoxicated Sunday at 2:38 a.m. in the 17000 block
of
Woodview Drive.
Deputies assisted at the scene of two people trying to
load an ATV into
their truck, after they discovered the vehicle sitting off
the side of
the road on Route 739 at Miller Road Sunday at 5:29 a.m. The ATV
was
towed by deputies and are still trying to locate its owners.
An
estimated $500 in damages occurred to a home after an attempted
burglary in
the 18000 block of Paver Barnes Road Sunday.
Todd Moore, 39, of 413 Parkway
Drive, was arrested domestic violence
Sunday at 5:24 p.m. in the 26000 block
of Kinney Pike Road.
Today at 3:55 a.m. a business on Montgomery Drive
reported windows were
broken on vehicles.
According to police
reports:
An update was provided on a two-car injury crash that occurred
Thursday
at 12:12 p.m. Driver Andrew Jones, 57, of Dublin, was reported
headed
down Columbus Avenue when he slowed to make a left hand turn onto
Clymer
Road. Traveling behind him, driver George Henault, 39, of LaRue,
failed
to stop in time, causing him to crash into the rear end of Jones'
car.
Jones was reportedly knocked unconscious in the collision
and
transported to Memorial Hospital of Union County for care. Henault
was
not injured, but was cited for failure to leave assured clear
distance
ahead between vehicles.
A car was stolen from the 500 block of
West Third Street Friday. It was
later found to have been towed.
Tools
were reported stolen Friday from a storage facility in the 600
block of
Clymer Road.
A 16-year-old female reportedly ran away from a residence in the
700
block of Meadows Drive Thursday afternoon and by Friday at 5:26
p.m.
had not returned.
A car was scratched in the 1100 block of Charles Lane
Friday.
Jared A. Kimball, 19, of Mingo, was arrested for possession of
drugs
after a traffic stop on West Fifth Street Friday.
A resident in the
800 block of Watkins Glen Boulevard reported that her
15-year-old daughter
was bitten by a neighbor's dog Saturday.
David L. Krebehenne, 46, of 26750
Ford Reed Road in Richwood, was
arrested for operating a vehicle intoxicated,
possession of drugs and
drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop on Milford
Avenue near Route 4 Saturday.
A man stole a television set from a business
on Coleman's Crossing Boulevard Saturday.
A ring was reported stolen from
the 16000 block of Square Drive Saturday.
Robert M. Scheeler, 27, of 544
Allenby Drive, was charged with
obstructing official business after running
from officers responding to
a complaint of a dispute at his home Sunday at
12:50 a.m. He was also
arrested on an outstanding warrant for failure to
appear in court and
failure to pay court fines.
Several locks were cut to
storage facilities in the 600 block of Clymer Road Sunday.
A wallet was
stolen from a car parked in the 600 block of Allenby
drive Sunday.
Numerous items were stolen from a storage unit in the 600
block of
Clymer Road Sunday.
A window was broken out by a baseball bat in
the 500 block of Amrine
Mill Road Sunday. The incident remains under
investigation.
A building in the 1000 block of Milford Avenue was burglarized
sometime
late Saturday or early Sunday morning.
Car windows were broken
out while parked in a garage in the 300 block of
Elwood Avenue
Sunday.
According to OSP reports:
Friday at 9:27 p.m. Michael Drodofsky,
54, of Lithopolis, was arrested
for operating a vehicle intoxicated after a
traffic stop on Route 4
north of County Home Road.
Sunday at 12:17 a.m.
Willis Hill, 50, of Plain City, was arrested for
operating a vehicle
intoxicated after a traffic stop on Route 739 at Route 4.
10/26/07
According to sheriff's reports:
Thursday at 8:53 a.m. deputies responded to
the 8000 block of Watkins
Road for a stolen car report. Business managers
said that a car was
missing from their fleet. It was later found at another
branch of the
store in another town, but it was unknown how the car got
there. The
possible theft remains under investigation.
At the same
location, the person who reported the theft also told
deputies that a
suspicious car had been abandoned on the property. The
car owner was located,
and they indicated to deputies that they had run
out of gas. There was no
tie-in found to the theft.
Thursday at 10:52 a.m. deputies responded to the
31000 block of
Pritchard Road for an identification theft report. A computer
company
called her in reference to a credit account set up in a victim's
name.
The account was closed and is now under investigation. No loss
was reported.
Thursday at 10:49 p.m. deputies responded to the 16000 block
of Robinson
Road for a missing juvenile. The mother apparently got into an
argument
with her 16-year-old son. She went to his room later on and he was
not
there. The juvenile was later found at a home in Columbus and was
taken
to Central Ohio Youth Center, and unruliness charges are
pending.
According to police reports:
A woman in the 200 block of Windsor
Court threatened suicide while
talking to a hotline service Thursday at 5:10
a.m. She was located and
taken to the hospital for evaluation.
A resident
on Spruce Drive reported that two purses, two cell phones,
cash and a credit
card were stolen out of her unlocked car Wednesday
night by unknown suspects
when it was parked in front of her home.
On Thursday an Ostrander resident
reported that his storage unit on
Industrial Parkway was broken into.
Miscellaneous items were taken from inside.
Vandalism was reported
Thursday at 10:42 a.m. after graffiti was found
written on both the male and
female bathroom walls and doors at Eljer Park.
Michael D. Shreve, 40, 203
Chestnut St. was arrested Thursday at his
home for an outstanding warrant for
Nonsupport.

According to police reports:
A business in the 16000 block of Allenby Drive
reported that a woman
came in upset with bruised arms and said she had been
struck in the head
Wednesday at 7:34 a.m. She left her ID and left in a newer
car with
temporary tags. Her residence was later found unlocked and no one
home.
That same morning officers were called to her home in the 600 block
of
Allenby Drive because of a suicide threat. The situation remains
under investigation.
A 17-year-old male was arrested for criminal damaging
after a resident
reported the male drove his truck and tore up the victim's
wheat field Wednesday.
Officers are assisting Jackson County officials in
the investigation of
a laptop pawned at a local pawn shop Wednesday.
A
15-year-old male was arrested for being unruly Wednesday after a fight
with
his sister in the 400 block of Windmill Drive.
A resident in the 600 block of
Allenby Drive reported that when she
returned home, she found her front door
had been broken open Wednesday
at 8:20 p.m. Nothing was reported missing from
inside.
According to sheriff's reports:
Tuesday at 2:03 p.m. the possible
theft of a semitrailer was reported
from the 11000 block of Watkins Glen
Road.
Wednesday at 8:22 p.m. Randy Lyons, 46, of 14220 Hinton Mill Road,
was
arrested for domestic violence after striking his son and
wife.

Today 12:48 a.m. Jackie Levally, 43, of
Marysville, was cited for
driving under suspension after a traffic stop on
U.S. 33 at U.S. 42. He
was cited for Driving Under Suspension.

According to police reports:
A resident in the 900 block of West Fifth Street
reported that her
stepson was being verbally abusive and was throwing things
around the
house at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Scott S. Woods, 33, of 120 First
St. was arrested on an outstanding
warrant Tuesday.
Lucas Bender, 26, of
1663 Sassafras Lane was arrested on an outstanding
warrant for failure to
appear in court for a restitution hearing after a
traffic stop by the Ohio
State Patrol on U.S. 33 at U.S. 42 today at 3:15 a.m.
According to
sheriff's reports:
Deputies are investigating the possible child abuse of a
2-year-old
male, which allegedly occurred in Jackson Township at 6:27 p.m.
Tuesday.
A man in the 17000 block of Echo Drive reported the theft of his
credit
card at 6:28 p.m. Monday, among numerous other items taken from the
home
over the past 10 days. Charges have been made to the card and
the
incident is under investigation.
Deputies received a report on a
possible stolen ATV Tuesday at 2:53 a.m.
although they were given conflicting
reports from which street it had
been taken. Then, at 9:30 a.m., dispatchers
received a call from a
resident in the 25000 block of Route 31 that their
4-wheeler chained to
a tree had been stolen.

According to sheriff's reports:
Monday at 5 a.m. deputies discovered
vandalism on Main Street in
Magnetic Springs, after 10 windows were broken
out of an old school
house in the area. The incident remains under
investigation.
An abandoned car was found on an old railroad bed on
Unionville Road
Saturday. Deputies discovered it had been reported stolen
from Plain City.
A man reported Friday at 11:19 a.m. in the 24000 block of
Honda Parkway
that a former employee was making threats to him. No charges
have been filed.
A red Next bike was found abandoned on West State Street,
Milford
Center, Friday at 2:53 p.m.
On Saturday deputies responded to the
16000 block of Church Street in
New Dover for a domestic dispute. A
16-year-old female reported being
harassed in February by an adult male
family member.
Saturday at 3:02 p.m. a car parked in the Fairbanks High
School lot was
discovered to have been vandalized sometime on Friday.
The
switch box to a propane heater, valued at $100, was found stolen
from the
16000 block of Fish Daum Road Sunday.
Charges for unruliness are under review
after a 14-year-old female was
transported to Memorial Hospital of Union
County for taking too many
prescription pills Sunday at 7:53 p.m.
A
business in the 8000 block of Broadway reported receiving a bad check
in the
amount of $259 Monday.

Three CSX railroad
vehicles were vandalized, with rocks thrown through
windows, in the 400 block
of Sycamore Street sometime over the weekend.

A fight was reported Saturday in the 100 block
of North Main Street. As
a result, Joseph M. Haworth, 40, of Hamilton, and
Douglas Hamilton, 25,
of Bethel, were charged with disorderly conduct. Brian
Huber, 45, of 265
Dogwood Drive, was charged with disorderly conduct and
possession of
marijuana at 2:36 a.m.
A person threatened suicide in the
300 block of South Walnut Street
Saturday at 4:50 a.m.
A door handle was
discovered broken to a residence in the 200 block of
Lakeview Court Friday
evening.
Several items were possibly stolen missing from a car parked in the
500
block of West Fourth Street Saturday.
Criminal mischief was reported

block of West Fourth Street reported
someone has been riding a dirt bike
and 4-wheeler, causing damage to his
property.

Jacob Davidson, 22, of Centerburg, was
arrested for operating a vehicle
intoxicated, super blood alcohol
concentration, failing to signal a
traffic turn and following too close to
other vehicles after a traffic
stop on U.S. 33 Saturday at 11:21 p.m.

operating a
vehicle intoxicated, high blood alcohol levels, driving
without a license and
possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia
after a traffic stop on
Watkins Road Saturday at 11:50 p.m.
A car was reportedly "egged" in the 100
block of West Third Street
sometime after 1:20 a.m. Sunday. Possible charges
are pending against a suspect.
Herman Nienhaus, 41, of 225 Elwood Avenue,
was arrested Sunday at 3:55
a.m. at his home for an outstanding warrant.
A
car parked on Grand Avenue was discovered damaged Sunday at about
4:30 a.m.
Daniel B. Toler, 26, of 325 Springwood Lane, was arrested Sunday
at 4:30
a.m. for domestic violence after reportedly being verbally
and
physically abusive toward his girlfriend.
A resident in the 400 block
of Morning Star Drive reported pumpkins were
smashed and used to vandalize a
car and mailbox Sunday. Another home on
the street had Halloween lights
stolen.
Credit card fraud was reported Sunday after a resident in the 500
block
of Dove Street discovered their credit card had been used to
make
fraudulent purchases without permission.
Someone broke into a home in
the 600 block of Meadows Drive Sunday and
stole medication.
A man and a
woman reportedly walked out of a business in the 500 block
of Coleman's
Crossing Boulevard without paying for two television sets
Sunday at 8:57

Someone broke inside a residence in the 500 block of East Fifth
Street
Sunday between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m., although nothing appears to have
been stolen.
Chad Dench, 36, of 245 Tulip Drive, was charged with assault
after
allegedly striking a woman and breaking some of her teeth Sunday
at 10:40 p.m.
A man was reportedly kicked in the face by a known suspect,
causing
injury, Friday at 10:45 a.m. in the 400 block of East Ninth
Street.
Charges are currently under investigation.
Burglary was reported
Friday at 11:44 a.m. after a resident in the 100
block of Residence Drive
discovered a set of keys and golf clubs had
been stolen from the garage.
A
6-year-old was reportedly left inside a car with the windows down and
the
keys in the ignition while her mother went into a business in the
1000 block
of North Main Street Friday at 1:15 p.m. No charges have been
filed at this
time.
A car was stolen on Oct. 8 from the 1700 block of Creekview Drive.
The
incident remains under investigation.
Friday at 1:39 p.m. a branch
from a tree fell on a passing car in the
700 block of North Maple Street
causing damage.
A man reportedly left a store in the 1000 block of West Fifth
Street
Friday at 2:30 p.m. without paying for several hundred dollars worth
of
groceries. The man was stopped by a manager after leaving the store.
The
suspect then ran and left the groceries behind.
Storage units in the
14000 block of Industrial Parkway were broken into
sometime between Wednesday
and Friday.
A man reported being threatened with a hand gun in the 400 block
of East
Ninth Street Friday. Suspect Nicholas Dewitt, 22, of 126 E. Fifth
St.,
was located. His car was searched, but no gun was found. He was
cited
for possession of marijuana which was found inside the car.
A purse
was stolen from a car parked in the 1800 block of Chiprock
Drive Friday.
Jessie S. Hunter, 31, of 237 Cottonwood Drive was arrested
on an
outstanding warrant and for driving without a license during a
traffic
stop on North Main Street Friday.
According to sheriff's
reports:
Seth T. Planck, 20, of 134 Reed St., was arrested Saturday at 2:20
a.m.
near his home for operating a vehicle intoxicated, high blood
alcohol
levels, driving left of center and underage consumption of
alcohol.
According to OSP reports:
Burl Carroll, 39, of Kenton was
arrested Sunday at 1:02 a.m. for
operating a vehicle intoxicated after a
traffic stop on Northwest Parkway.
The same day at 1:55 a.m. John M.
Huffman, 34, of Bellefontaine, was
arrested for operating a vehicle
intoxicated after a traffic stop on the same road.

According to police reports:
Drug abuse charges are pending after a traffic
stop on U.S. 33E Thursday
at 6:34 p.m. Officers stopped a vehicle and the K-9
officer discovered
drug paraphernalia in the glove compartment. Charges are
pending against
occupants in the vehicle for felony drug offenses.
Mathew
J. Evans, 36, of 811 Lone Rise Drive, was arrested Thursday at
6:18 p.m. for
assault.
Joseph C. Wheat, 37, of 520 Buckeye St. Apt. A, was arrested
for
domestic violence after he allegedly grabbed his wife and slammed
her
into a door today at 1:41 a.m. at the home.
According to sheriff's
reports:
A total of $75 in damages was reported Thursday after a resident in
the
30000 block of McPeck Road discovered someone had vandalized a
window
with drywall glue.
Assault charges are pending against a
13-year-old female student, who
reportedly was involved in a fight with
another 13-year-old female at
Fairbanks Middle School on Route 38 in the gym
during recess Thursday at
about 1:30 p.m.

Susan Winiger, 42, of East Liberty, was arrested today at 1:43 a.m.
for
OVI and driving left of center after a traffic stop on U.S. 33 at
West Fifth Street.
Stacy Rausch, 25, of Plain City, was arrested today at
2:53 a.m. for OVI
after a traffic stop on 10th Street at Chestnut Street.

According to police reports:
A 14-year-old student at a school on North Maple
Street was cited for
possession of marijuana and having a homemade pipe. He
brought the items
to school with him on Wednesday and was discovered at 1:15
p.m.
A resident in the 400 block of Raymond Road reported finding a pole
saw
and a leaf blower in the driveway when they arrived home Wednesday
at
9:25 p.m. The items did not belong to them and they asked police to
take them.
Daniel T. Limes, 22, of 458 Raymond Road was arrested for
receiving
stolen property after a traffic stop on Columbus Avenue Wednesday
at 12:35 p.m.
According to sheriff's reports:
Illegal charges in the
amount of $800 were made on a credit card owned
by a resident in the 22000
block of Rushsylvania Road Wednesday.
Wednesday at 2:59 p.m. a car was found
to have $500 in damages in the
19000 block of Route 4.
Deputies arrived in
the 14000 block of U.S. 36 today at 12:55 a.m. for a
father making threats to
his family, due to being heavily intoxicated.
The man was transported to
Memorial Hospital of Union County for alcohol
detoxification and will receive
treatment. No charges were filed.
According to OSP reports:
A Marysville
man was involved in an injury crash in Logan County
Wednesday, but he was not
injured.
At 9:57 p.m. driver Matthew C. Hare, 35, of Galloway was headed east
on
U.S. 33 in a 2003 Honda Civic when he went left of center. As a
result,
he struck a 2004 Kenworth semi tractor-trailer driven by Kristopher
D.
Madden, 34, of Marysville as he went west on U.S. 33 in the
opposite
lane. The left front wheel, spring and shock assembly were torn
away
from Hare's vehicle during the impact. The wheel equipment struck
a
third vehicle driven by William A. McManus, 63, of Elida who was
heading
west on U.S. 33 in a 2003 Chevrolet Venture minivan. Hare
was
transported to Grant Medical Hospital by MedFlight with
serious
injuries. Madden and McManus were not injured in the crash. Alcohol
is
considered a factor in the crash, although specific charges were
not listed by the OSP.
Indian lake and Lakeview Fire and EMS assisted at
the scene. Lakeview
Police Department and Logan County Sheriff's deputies
assisted with
traffic control. The roadway on U.S. 33 was closed
approximately two
hours due to the crash, which remains under
investigation.

According to police reports:
Robert C. Lane, 18, and his father Robert Lane,
47, both of 214 N. Maple
St. were cited for disorderly conduct Sunday at 1:37
after the two were
involved in a fist fight near their home which ended up in
the street.
A resident in the 900 block of Lora Lee Drive reported her
husband
accidentally threw away prescription medication Tuesday morning.
A
bike was stolen from a property in the 200 block of Redwood Drive
sometime
between Monday at noon and Tuesday at noon.
A resident in the 1000 block of
Milford Avenue reported that sometime
over the weekend someone stole her
wallet from the car parked in the driveway.
A resident of U.S. 36 east
reported that his car was keyed while at a
business on Coleman's Crossing
Boulevard Tuesday.
Tuesday night a Fels Boulevard resident reported her debit
card was
stolen from her truck while at a business on Coleman's'
Crossing Boulevard.
According to sheriff's reports:
Assault charges are
pending against a known suspect who assaulted a
former employee in the front
yard of a property in the 13000 block of
Weaver Road Tuesday at 9:22
a.m.
A total of $620 in CDs were stolen from a car parked in the 22000
block
of McAdow Road Tuesday.
A total of $1,480 in tools and copper wire
were stolen from a
construction site in the 8000 block of Industrial parkway
Tuesday.
Tuesday at 5:18 p.m. deputies responded to the 31000 block of
Winnemac
Road for a father and son dispute. The son reportedly was
throwing
objects in the home and continued the behavior outside the home.
The
male was later made to calm down and was taken to his home. No
charges were filed.
According to OSP reports:
Two people were injured
in a two-car crash that occurred Tuesday at 7:28
a.m. on Route 161 at Cosgray
Road.
Driver Kevin Lackey, 37, of Plain City was headed east on Route 161
when
he slowed for traffic. Driver Edgar Gore, 28, of Dublin was eastbound
on

A brown back pack containing a laptop computer and other

A woman in the 17000 block of Timber Lane
reported Monday that her son
stole her Nintendo Wii and Play Station game

A man reported Monday at 3:30 p.m. that $30 was stolen from his

A Raymond
resident reported that her name was forged on a note that got

school Monday. The suspect is a known 14-year-old female.
A 16-year-old
female and a 12-year-old male were involved in a fight

custody dispute was reported Thursday after a resident in the

Allenby Drive said his estranged wife lives in Circleville
with his two
daughters. He had the girls originally enrolled in
Marysville Schools and are
now considered in violation of truancy laws.
Two bikes were stolen from a
property in the 600 block of Milford Avenue Thursday.
Phillips Bishop, 39,
of Mason was arrested for operating a vehicle
intoxicated, driving under
suspension, failure to stay in marked lanes
and failure to comply with a
police order after a traffic stop today at

A worker at a construction site on Coleman's'
Crossing Boulevard
reported Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. that a $140 24-volt hammer
drill and a
$700 gas powered steel saw were stolen.
While patrolling on
Northwest Parkway Wednesday at 9:24 a.m. an officer
discovered a chain had
been cut and a boat was stolen from a property.
It is unknown who the owner
of the boat is at this time.
A business in the 1000 block of West Fifth
Street reported Wednesday at
9:56 a.m. that a customer purchased eight large
cans of butane in the
past two days and when asked what the cans were to be
used for he said
"making pies for a local restaurant." The restaurant has no
record of
the man and the incident was listed as suspicious.
Boat oars
were found in some weeds on the Pheasants Forever Trail Wednesday.
A
14-year-old male was arrested for assault after striking another
14-year-old
male at Marysville High School Wednesday at 2:35 p.m.
A Plain City resident

Criminal damaging was reported Tuesday at 10:48
a.m. after an adult male
hitting golf balls in the area of Collins Avenue
struck a prisoner
transport bus from the Ohio Reformatory for Women while it
was westbound
on Collins Ave., near the U.S.36/Route 4 intersection. A window
on the
front right side was shattered. No one was injured. Several police
units
responded as the guards on the bus initially thought the damage was
from
gunfire. Several inmates were on the bus, no one was injured. No
charges
were filed.
Officers and the canine unit were dispatched to assist
with the search
for two inmates who walked away from the West Central
Correctional
Facility on Route 4 Tuesday at 9:45 p.m.

At
3:49 p.m. that day driver Lisa Lape, 30, of Powell was headed east on
Route
161 and lost control past Debolt Road and went off the right side
of the
road. The car struck a ditch, a road sign and a utility pole. She
suffered
minor injuries and was transported by Pleasant Valley Fire
District medics to
Riverside Hospital.
At 8:35 a.m. that day driver Aaron Lotz, 16, of Milford
Center was
headed east on Middleburg Plain City Road when he lost control of
the
car at Collins Avenue. He went off the right side of the road into
a
ditch. He was reportedly not injured in the crash.

One person was injured in a two-car crash that occurred this morning
on
Honda Parkway outside of Gate A at 6:16 a.m. Details on the crash
were
unavailable before press time. Troopers reported that driver
Melissa
Fogel, 36, of Richwood was injured and transported by Allen

medics to Memorial Hospital of Union County for care.
Travis
Gilliam, 22, of Richwood was arrested after a traffic stop on
U.S. 33 at U.S.
42 Tuesday at 2:06 a.m. He was charged with operating a
vehicle intoxicated,

Deputies are on the lookout for a missing
elderly male who was expected
to return home to the 17000 block of Kandel
Road Saturday. Erick Spiess,
88, is 5'11" tall and weighs an estimated 150
pounds. He was wearing a
dark blue shirt and pants, with brown shows. He was
driving a light blue
2001 Mercury Grande Marquee. If found, notify the Union
County Sheriff's Office.
Timothy Allen, 21, of DeGraff, was arrested
Sunday at 3:44 a.m. for
operating a vehicle intoxicated and driving outside
of marked lanes
after a traffic stop on U.S. 33 at Route 4.
A home in the
32000 block of Dutton Love Road was broken into Sunday.
Nothing appears to
have been stolen from inside.
Deputies responded to Warner Road for a report
of an explosion in the
area. On the scene, deputies found a large bonfire. A
man had allegedly
attempted to start the fire with gasoline, which caused a
small
explosion. Some of the flames burned the man, whose name was
not
provided, and he was transported to Ohio State University Hospital
for treatment.
A total of $600-$1,000 in scrap steel was stolen from a bin
at a
business located in the 7000 block of Memorial Drive Monday.
A brown
medical bag containing medications was found in the roadway
Monday on Route
38 at the Fairbanks High School. The bag was returned to
its owner.
On
Monday a resident in the 17000 block of Waldo Road reported someone
used his
credit card information to buy $1,057 in items over the
Internet sometime
between Sept. 29 and Oct. 1.
Joy Retterer, 43, of Prospect, was arrested for
assault today at 12:28
a.m. A woman and her husband were reportedly giving a
ride home to
Retterer because she was too intoxicated to drive. During the
drive, an
argument occurred, and Retterer allegedly struck the wife.
Another
passenger in the back seat, Anthony Yates, 24, of Richwood, was
also
taken into custody for an outstanding warrant issued by the Marion
City
Police Department.
Laura Ratliff, 25, of 719 W. Fifth St., was
arrested for operating a
vehicle intoxicated, and driving left of center
after a stop on West
Fifth Street Saturday at 2:30 a.m.
Charges are
pending against a 16-year-old male for possession of
prescription narcotics
Friday at 8:28 a.m. in the 18000 block of

boy's mother reported pills were stolen
from her bottle and were found on her

18, of 680 Meadows Drive, was arrested Friday at 9:05
p.m. for drug abuse
after he was found smoking marijuana near Marysville High School.

Perez, 31, of Dublin, was arrested Saturday at 12:32 a.m. for
operating a
vehicle intoxicated, driving without a license, failure to
comply with a
police signal, driving without wearing a seat belt, having
an open container
of alcohol inside his vehicle and driving outside of
marked lanes after a
traffic stop on U.S. 33. The Marysville police
originally received a
complaint of a possible impaired driver and soon
located Perez as the
suspect.
A dog was trapped inside a storm drain Saturday at 6:10 a.m. in the
800
block of Catalpa Place. The dog was freed by street department
workers
later that afternoon.
A 16-year-old male was charged with assault
after allegedly striking
another person in the face with his fist Saturday at

Deputies were called to a construction site in the
12000 block of
Beecher-Gamble Road in Millcreek Township, around 9:13 a.m.
Thursday.
Missing from the site is about 300 feet of copper wire, valued
at
approximately $500. No suspects have been identified and the
case
remains under investigation.
The owners of a home in the 17000 block
of Route 31 in York Township
called the Sheriff's Office about 9:13 p.m.
Thursday in reference to a
burglary and related theft offenses. The home was
being prepared and
shown for sale. The owners report that sometime over the
last few
months, someone got into the home and took an estimated $600 worth
of
video and sound equipment. There is no sign of forced entry. No
suspects
have been identified and the case remains under
investigation.

A resident of Pleasant Ridge Road
reported at 1:51 a.m., Thursday, that
he was assaulted when he left a
business in the 800 block of Columbus
Avenue. Employees at the business told
police the man fell or passed out
and was found laying next to a
tree.
About 8:54 a.m., Thursday, a man reported to police that sometime
over
the weekend, a saw was stolen from a vehicle parked in the 400 block
of
Sycamore Street.
A child daycare on Echo Drive notified police about
9:47 a.m., Thursday,
of a suspicious person. The male was described about 5
feet 8 inches
tall with a thin build, shaved short hair and clean shaven.
Employees
said he was wearing blue jeans and a dark T-shirt.
The man
entered the day care facility and told employees he was a
child's uncle and
that he needed to pay the child for cookie dough he
had purchased. Staff
checked records and determined the was no
outstanding money owed for the
cookie dough. At that point the man left
and the child's mother was called.
The mother said the description did
not match any of the boy's family
members. All children at the facility
were present and accounted for.

E. Byus, 40, of 50 Poplar St., Apt. 1, was arrested around 10:05
a.m.,
Thursday on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear on a
fictitious
plates charge.
School officials contacted police about 11:30 a.m. Thursday to
notify
them of a 17-year-old female who is enrolled at Marysville High
School,
but has not attended school at all this school year.
It was
reported at 12:39 p.m., Thursday that in the 600 block of Allenby
Drive,
there were three unsupervised children. The children missed their bus.
A
16-year-old boy punched a 14-year-old boy about 4:06 p.m., Thursday.
The
older boy said he did it because the younger boy had told on the
older for
dipping tobacco on the school bus. No charges were filed.
A black wallet was
found in Meadows apartment complex about 5:23 p.m.,
Thursday. The wallet had
an Ohio driver's license and a Social Security
card. An unsuccessful attempt
was made to contact the owner of the
wallet, and it was placed into safe
keeping.
A 16-year-old girl was arrested about 6:20 p.m., Thursday and
charged
with domestic violence after she threatened to kill her mother.
A
resident in the 100 block of Grove Street reported at 8:05 p.m.
Thursday,
that an unknown person used her debit card number to purchase
items in
California.

Wednesday for passing a school bus while

From the sheriffs reports:
Deputies were called to a home in the 16000 block
of McAdow Road in
Taylor Township about 9:43 a.m. Tuesday. A woman living at
the home
called the deputies after she found what she believed to be drugs
and
drug paraphernalia in her grandson's bedroom.
The woman was cleaning
the 17-year-old boy's room when she found a small
box which contained both an
unknown white powder and items which could
be considered drug paraphernalia.
The power was not field tested but was
shipped directly to the state crime
lab. No charges have been filed and
the case remains under investigation,
pending the results of testing at the lab.
A homeowner on W. State Street
in Milford Center called deputies in
reference to a burglary. The resident
told deputies that some time
between 6 a.m. and 6:41 p.m. Tuesday, an unknown
person broke onto the
home. Investigators found lawn ornaments on the home's
back porch
disturbed and found damage to the rear door of the home. Once
inside the
home, investigators found evidence of things disturbed, however,
at the
time of the report, nothing appeared to be missing. No suspects
have
been identified and the case remains under investigation.
From police
reports:
A resident in the 600 block of Parkway Drive reported that about
9:15
a.m., Tuesday, he found the front passenger window of his
vehicle
slashed with what appeared to be a knife. The cut was about five
inches long.
Jason D. Thoburn, 33, of 437 E. Ninth St., was arrested at
9:15 a.m.
Tuesday, on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear.
A
resident of the 1800 block of Chiprock Drive contacted police about
11:30
a.m. to report that while at Marysville High School, an unknown
person wrote
obscene words on his car with a marker.
A resident in the 100 block of
Cypress Drive contacted police about
12:15 p.m. Tuesday to report that she
tried to slash her wrists several
times in an attempt to kill herself. A note
was found at the front door.
The operator of a motel in the 16000 block
of Allenby Drive contacted
police at 2:26 p.m. Tuesday, seeking a welfare
check on one of the
motel's patrons. Once inside the room, police found the
man had
apparently attempted suicide. He was taken to Memorial Hospital of
Union County.
Maria L. Olson, 40, of 14380 Hillview Road, was arrested and
charged
with driving with an expired drivers license and failure to
comply
license reinstatement. The arrests followed a traffic stop at 6:26
p.m.,
Tuesday on County Road 1.
Robert L. Bradley, 29, of Richwood was
arrest for driving with an
expired drivers license and driving under
suspension. The arrests
followed a 9:52 p.m., Tuesday traffic stop on U.S.
33, near Route 31.

From Sheriff's reports:
Deputies were dispatched to a business in the 8000
block of Memorial
Drive about 9:41 a.m. Monday regarding a theft. The
business owner told
investigators someone had gotten onto the property
sometime between the
close of business Friday and the owner's arrival Monday
morning.
Someone took catalytic converters from six vehicles parked on
the
property. Estimated value of the converters and the lost time for
the
vehicles is about $6,000. Deputies have no suspects and the case
remains
under investigation.
Units responded Monday at 10:01 a.m. to a
home in the 31000 block of
Route 37 to a call about an unruly juvenile. The
caller said her
15-year-old son has been persistently unruly. She said he was
out of
control, yelling and making threats to hurt himself and others.
The
boy was taken to Memorial Hospital of Union County for evaluation.
He was to
be taken to the Central Ohio Youth Center for holding until
his court
appearance on unruly juvenile charges.
Deputies were dispatched to the 33000
block of Winnemac Road at 4:27
p.m. Monday in reference to telecommunications
harassment. The victim
said she has received three threatening text messages
from an individual
who has already been warned to have no contact with the
victim. No
charges have been filed at this time; however, the matter remains
under investigation.
Deputies were called to a home in the 21000 block of
Springdale Road
about 5:46 p.m. Monday. The home owner said he had invited a
woman to
his home Thursday evening. When the woman left that same evening,
the
man noticed she took a check and a credit card from his residence.
No
charges have been filed. The matter remains under investigation.

A resident in the 300 block of West Sixth Street
contacted police at
8:04 a.m. Monday to report that sometime over the weekend
several pieces
of jewelry were taken from the home.
Police were contacted
about 11:01 a.m. Monday by a parent in the 900
block of White Oak Court. The
parent said a 16-year-old daughter had not
gone to school. The girl was
located that afternoon when she arrived at the school.
A homeowner in the
100 block of North Maple Street reported at 3:35 p.m.
Monday that their fence
had been damaged.
Several unwanted phone calls from her estranged husband
prompted a woman
living in the 300 block of South Walnut Street to call
police about 4:46 p.m. Monday.
A cell phone was reported stolen from an
unknown location in Marysville
at 7:57 p.m. Monday.
A resident in the 600
block of Rainbow Drive contacted police at 8:30
p.m. Monday to report several
items lost, including a day planner, a
checkbook and cash.
Police were
contacted about 11:44 p.m. Monday by a mother who reported
that her daughter
was abused in the 900 block of East Fifth Street.

According to police reports:
Several juveniles were arrested after police
located an underage
drinking party in the 800 block of Collins Avenue Sunday
at 3:48 a.m.
As a result, Brian W. Costello Jr., 18, of 530 S. Maple St.,
was
arrested for underage drinking and obstructing official business.
Two
16-year-old males were arrested for underage drinking and
another
16-year-old male was arrested for disorderly conduct and
underage
possession of a tobacco product.
The Department of Human Services
is investigating a sexual offense
report filed Friday concerning a 6-year-old
female on Windmill Drive and
a suspected male.
Identity theft was reported
Friday at 10 a.m. after a forged check was
discovered to have been cashed on
Aug. 31 in the 200 block of West Fifth Street.
David Lee Organ Jr., 43, of
71 Red Pine Drive, was arrested Friday at
6:04 p.m. in the 700 block of
Milford Avenue for two outstanding
warrants issued by the Logan County
Sheriff's Office.
David A. Dowdy, 43, of 171 Residence Drive, was arrested
Friday at 11:36
p.m. for operating a vehicle intoxicated, driving without a
license and
super concentration of blood alcohol levels, after a traffic stop
in the
900 block of Columbus Avenue.
Sonja J. Boerger, 43, of 818 W.
Eighth St., was arrested for disorderly
conduct Saturday at 9:07 a.m. She was
found intoxicated and passed out
in a driveway access in the 400 block of
Grove Street.
Jessica M. Cowan, 20, of 304 W. Seventh St., was arrested on a
warrant
for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle in the 200 block of North
Main
Street Saturday at 9:07 a.m.
A resident in the 600 block of Kenny
Lane reported burglary after
someone entered the home and stole numerous
items Sunday.
Lori E. Ramirez, 45, of Plain City, was arrested Saturday at
11:29 a.m.
for driving with a suspended license after a traffic stop on
Industrial Parkway.
Disorderly conduct charges are pending against two
14-year-old females
who were involved in a fight in the 700 block of Amrine
Mill Road Friday at 2:25 p.m.
Darcy M. Letourneau, 26, of Dublin, was
arrested for driving under
suspension, speeding and no operator's license
Saturday at 5:43 p.m.
after a traffic stop on Industrial Parkway.
A
resident in the 400 block of West Seventh Street reported a neighbor
arguing
over a public parking space Sunday at 8:48 a.m.
A vehicle parked in the 200
block of West Third Street was criminally
damaged Sunday after someone
squirted mustard on it.
The rear window of a car was broken out in the 500
block of Meadow Drive Sunday.
James D. Tweed, 23, of Columbus, was
arrested Sunday at 7:54 p.m. for
driving under suspension after a traffic
stop on Milford Avenue.

was released concerning a fatal crash that occurred Friday.
Reports state
that Paul Morse, 60, of Marengo, was traveling east on
Perkins Road on a
scooter when he lost control and went off the right
side of the roadway. The
scooter came to rest in a ditch. Morse was
transported for medical care, but
was pronounced dead at 2 p.m. More
information on the specific cause of death
was unavailable before press time.
A 15-year-old male reportedly
threatened to harm himself Friday at 10:59
a.m. in the 31000 block of Route
37. Later in the day, the male was
traveling in a car with his mother when
the male jumped out of the car
in Richwood. The male was later found by
Richwood Police.
Friday at 9:27 p.m. deputies were called regarding a
14-year-old male
and a 17-year-old male who spray painted the walls of their
bedroom at
home in the 16000 block of Martin Welch Road.
An illegal phone
account was started in New York, using the name of a
victim in the 21000
block of Westlake-Lee Road Thursday.
Dawn Patterson, 21, of Richwood, was
arrested for operating a vehicle
intoxicated, high blood alcohol
concentration and driving under
suspension Saturday at 11:34 p.m. Patterson
had been parked to sleep on
Honda Parkway. She left the scene before deputies
arrived and was later
stopped at Dayton Avenue in Raymond and
cited.
Deputies investigated a road rage incident that occurred Saturday
at
3:34 p.m. Two vehicles allegedly had a near collision on U.S. 42 at
U.S.
33. One of the drivers allegedly tried to forced the vehicle to
stop,
and the other driver claimed the man pulled her out of her car
and
attempted to force her into his car. Both drivers claimed the other
was
at fault and the incident remains under investigation.
Saturday at
10:38 p.m. Terry Spain, 53, of Raymond, was arrested for
disorderly conduct
after he was reportedly intoxicated and off his
medications in the 21000
block of Evans Road. When medics and deputies
arrived, Spain became
belligerent and threatening. He was transported
for a medical evaluation and
continued being out of control.
Andrew Keifer, 18, of 18062 Timber Trails,
was arrested for operating a
vehicle intoxicated, high blood alcohol levels
and driving outside of
marked lanes Sunday at 4:20 a.m. after a traffic stop
on U.S. 33 at the rest area.

Marcy Patrick,
34, of 16877 Route 347, was arrested for operating a
vehicle intoxicated
after a traffic stop on Eighth Street at Main Street
Saturday at 2:10
a.m.
Justin Brooks, 25, of 503 Quail Hollow Drive, was arrested for
operating
a vehicle intoxicated after a traffic stop on U.S. 33 Saturday at
3:50 a.m.
