When the rear tire came off a U.S. mail truck, it caused a two-vehicle crash, stopping traffic on Maple Street Thursday. According to a police report, about 11:07 a.m. Thursday, Mary Rausch was driving a mail truck north in the 500 block of North Maple Street, in Marysville. The left rear tire came off the mail truck, causing the truck to go left of center and hit a 2004 Chevy 1500 SUV. The SUV, traveling south, was driven by Amanda Myers. Rausch was taken to Memorial Hospital in Marysville. Both the SUV and the 1994 mail truck were listed as having “disabling” damage.
