Arnold M. Nymeyer, 71, of Marysville, died Thursday, Oct. 26, 2017, at Memorial Hospital in Marysville.
He retired from the equipment company Caterpillar in Columbus, where he was a salesman for almost 30 years. He graduated from Grandview Heights High School in 1964 and was a United States Air Force veteran. He enjoyed golfing and was a big Ohio State Buckeyes fan.
He was known as a dedicated friend who “lived large.” His customers will also remember him as a loyal servant. Above all, his family was his utmost priority and devotion.
He was born on Jan. 12, 1946, in the Netherlands, to the late Jan and Gerry Nymeyer. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Henrietta McCourt.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Anita Squire Nymeyer; daughter, Tori (Mike) Short of Upper Arlington; step-children, Kim Geer of Urbana and Richard (Tonya) Geer; grandchildren, Sam, Colin, Tess, Mara, Heather, Corey, Justin, Tyler and Derrick; sister, Joanne (Gary) Cooper of Toledo; brother, Bill Nymeyer; and nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, 2017, at Timberview Golf Club, where a memorial gathering and toast will be held at 6 p.m. Underwood Funeral Home in Marysville is in charge of arrangements.
