Forest L. “Jack” Bugg, 85, of Unionville Center, died Sunday evening, Oct. 29, 2017, at Milcrest Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, in Marysville, where he resided since 2002.
He was a retired machinist for Jager Machine Company in Columbus. He was an avid fisherman from the banks of Darby Creek and enjoyed talking about all his fishing tales and riding Harley Davidson motorcycles.
He was born on Jan. 1, 1932, in Union County, to the late George Washington and Louise Mariah (Bigelow) Bugg. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Helen (Jenkins) Bugg, who died in 2000.
He is survived by his children, Forest Alvin Bugg Jr., Charlene Willoughby, Georgia Walker and Vernon (Trish) Bugg; grandchildren, Matthew, Sarah, Kelly, Samantha, Gavin and Nevin; great-granddaughters, Kadence N. and Katie; sister, Helen Loveless; and brother, Wendell Bugg.
The Rev. Phil Conrad will officiate funeral services at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Ferguson Funeral Home, 202 E. Main St., Plain City, where the family will receive friends two hours prior to the service, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Darby Township Cemetery, in Unionville Center.
