Harold D. Seese, 83, of Marysville and formerly of Delaware, died Wednesday morning, Feb. 21, 2018, at his home surrounded by his family.
In earlier years, he was a self employed maintenance contractor and formerly worked with Umbaugh Pole Building and Kirkham Building Systems of Delaware. He was a longtime Farm Bureau member and enjoyed watching all sports, including NASCAR and horse racing. He retired from Gutknecht Construction Company in Columbus.
He was born March 29, 1934, in Delaware County, to the late Ross and Ann Gallagher Seese. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, the former Barbara A. Wolford, who died Jan. 22, 2002, and daughter, Penny L. Ghent.
He is survived by his children, Sharon A. Kennedy of Marysville and Michael D. (Sheri) Seese of Mount Vernon; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; siblings, Willis “Bill” (Marylou) Seese of Delaware and Patricia (Ray) Saunders of Buckeye Lake.
The Rev. James Taylor will officiate funeral services at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Ingram Funeral Home. A gathering of family and friends one hour prior to the service, starting at 10 a.m., at the funeral home. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, south of Delaware.
