Linda L. Andrews, 76, of Plain City, died peacefully Tuesday morning, March 6, 2018, at Dublin Methodist Hospital, after an extended illness.
She graduated from Chuckery Darby High School in 1959 and earned her teaching degree from The Ohio State University in 1963. She retired from Bellefontaine City Schools, where she taught at both middle and high school levels for 30 years.
She was born Sept. 6, 1941, in Columbus, to the late Edgar Rufus and Lucile Dorothy (Hilbert) Andrews. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, James O. Mitton, who died in 1976, and nephew, Jeffrey James Mitton.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Kimberly Mayer, Matthew Mitton, Daniel Mitton, Helen McCarthy, James Mitton and John Cox.
The Rev. Phil Conrad will officiate a memorial service at 4 p.m. Saturday at Ferguson Funeral Home, 202 E. Main St. (Route 161 W.) Plain City. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. A graveside service will be held at a later date.
