Marilyn J. Coakley, 90, of Marysville died Thursday morning at Brookdale of Marysville following several weeks of failing health and surrounded by her family.
She was very dedicated to her family and will be remembered for the care she generously gave when needed by a loved one. When health allowed, she attended the Church of Christ.
She was born Jan. 19, 1927 in Kenton to the late John and Mary Miller Engle. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Neil R. Coakley. They were married Dec. 15, 1942 and he died Sept. 30, 1998. She was also preceded in death by a daughter Deanna Sue Anderson who died June 26, 1985, a granddaughter Tricia Cramer and many brothers and sisters, in-laws and friends
She is survived by a son James R. Coakley of Scottsdale, AZ; a sister Carolyn Bliss of Marysville; grandchildren, Brad (Siobhan) Dotson, Lori (Carl) Hale, Mark Coakley, Chris (Megan) Coakley; great grandchildren, Neil (Michelle) Rausch, Tarin Reese; and 2 great-great grandchildren Emmalee and Ava.
Calling hours will be Sunday from 2-4 p.m. with funeral services at 4 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeff Darby officiating. Burial will be in Raymond Cemetery next to her husband.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Loving Care Hospice in care of the funeral home.
