Marjorie Ann Dellinger, 79, of Milford Center, died unexpectedly Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at her residence.
She retired after working as an office associate in agricultural education at The Ohio State University (OSU). A woman of faith, she was a longtime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Chuckery and was active in the Ladies Aid. In her earlier years before working at OSU, she was employed at O.M. Scott & Sons and Buel-Mercer Chevrolet in Marysville.
She enjoyed traveling and camping with her husband. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting and bird watching, as well as playing the piano.
She was born July 14, 1938, in Milford Center, to the late Paul R. and Reba Ebright Strayer. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Theresa Juodvalkis, and brother, Steven A. Strayer.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Robert “Bob” Dellinger, whom she married Aug. 9, 1959, at Springdale Baptist Church; sons, Wayne A. (Melanie) Dellinger of Marysville, Bradley R. (Susan Martin) Dellinger of Milford Center and Gregory S. (Martha) Dellinger of Plain City; grandchildren, Hannah A., Garrett G., Grant R., Amanda M. and Travis A. Dellinger; siblings, Judith Jones of Johnson City, Tennessee, and Jayne Strayer of Grove City; and special friend, Joy Seipp.
Calling hours will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at Ingram Funeral Home. The Rev. Paul Schlueter will officiate funeral services at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
In her memory, contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church or to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation in care of the funeral home.
