Mary D. Morse, 92, of Milford Center, died peacefully Thursday afternoon, April 19, 2018, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
She retired from the Ohio Reformatory for Women after working there for 17 years. She enjoyed watching Fox News and gardening in her spare time. She was also an avid fan of The Ohio State University’s sports teams. Above all things, she adored being a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, as she cherished her family dearly.
She was born Oct. 25, 1925, in Jackson, to the late Griffith and Marzella Roberts Davis. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Ray G. Morse, whom she married Sept. 17, 1949, in Columbus, and who died Dec. 4, 1990; daughter, Christy Rogers; stepmother, Anne Davis; and sister, Marjorie Rippeth.
She is survived by her daughters, Lori (David) Throndsen of Plain City, Jane (David Kelley) Hale of Hilliard, Sheila (Rob) Perlman of Powell and Debra (Edmund) James of Florida; son-in-law, Dan Rogers; grandchildren, Danielle (Dan) Huskey, Bradley Rogers, Sheri (Dave) Doerger, Michael Brennan, Jaime (Lisa) Swartzwelder, Joe (Christina) Brennan, Rob (Kelly) Perlman, Kim (Brian) Brink, Ray Hale and Uri and Heather Kelley; great-grandchildren, Adelaide, Francesca Belle, Mila, Hunter, Harper, Dylan, Henley, Matt, Jillian, Zachary and Flynn; brother, Don (Mary Lynne) Davis of Grove City; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The Rev. David Bridgman will officiate funeral services at 11 a.m. Friday at Ingram Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mitchell Cemetery, next to her husband, Ray. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, it is requested donations be made to the Marysville Loving Care Hospice, as she was deeply touched by all the support she received.
