Nita “June” Das Roychoudhury, 81, formerly of Marysville, died Oct. 9, 2017, at her home at Royal Oaks community in Sun City, Arizona.
She lived a rich life and made wonderful contributions to the happiness and well-being of her family and friends. She became a proud American citizen in 1968. She raised her family in Marysville, was active in the community and worked as a cosmetics salesperson.
Upon retirement, she moved to Arizona, where she enjoyed dancing and traveling with her beloved husband, Roy Roychoudhury. She will be remembered by her family for her gregarious personality, enthusiasm for life, faith and sense of humor.
She was born in Burma in 1936 and came to the United States from India. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Roychoudhury, in 2015.
She is survived by her children, Ron Roychoudhury, Rita (Mike) Davison, Raj (Colette) Roychoudhury and Roy (Anya) Roychoudhury; and grandchildren, Emily, Samuel, Emerson and Maeve.
Her family held a private memorial gathering in Sun City on Oct. 13. Sunland Memorial Park, Mortuary & Crematorium handled the funeral arrangements.
