Rees A. Simpson, 52, of Marysville, died Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018, at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, with his family by his side, following a brief illness.
A quiet, reserved man, he was baptized in the Christian faith. He was a 1984 graduate of Marysville High School. He enjoyed his work, whether he was delivering pizzas or working as a stockman at Walmart or the Marysville Recycling Center. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and boating, attending drag races and especially spending time with his family.
He was born Sept. 26, 1965, in Marysville, to the late Norman and Helen (Rees) Simpson. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Ken.
He is survived by his children, Tina (Ricky) Oldaker, Courtney Simpson and Justin Simpson, all of Marysville; grandchildren, Madison and Mahliky McNew and Boe and Dolton Oldaker; sister, Susan (Rick) Marshall of Marysville; brother, Walter (Michelle) Simpson of Laurelville; and several nieces and nephews.
In keeping with his wishes, private services will be held for the family and burial will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date at Union Cemetery in Milford Center. Arrangements are being handled by Wilson Funeral Home, Mannasmith Chapel.
