Elite cruises to 8-0 victory

The Marysville Elite 17U baseball team was able to handle their competition, Command Demand, with ease when they won 8-0 in five innings of play.
Elite was able to get on the board early when they tallied their first run in the top of the first inning. They followed up with solo runs in the third and fourth innings. The big inning that ended that ball game came in the top of the fifth when Elite stung the Command pitcher for five runs to give Elite their 8-0 lead and eventual win.
Drew Eaches was the starting pitcher for Marysville and was able to go the distance to collect the win in five innings. Eaches only gave up two hits on the mound and fanned Command on four occasions.
Blake Storr, Garrett North, and Jared Yoakam all collected singles, while Yoakam and Kaleb Shultz collected a hit for extra bases. Shultz went deep for a homerur to help Marysville collect eight runs on seven hits.
The Marysville Elite 17U will return action today in a double-header against Florence Freedom Elite at Centerville High School and the Dayton Sluggers at Wright State University.
