Fairbanks’ girls placed third during the Ohio Heritage Conference cross country meet at Cedarville College on Saturday.
West Liberty-Salem won the meet with 23 points. Springfield Catholic Central was the runner-up with 78 and Fairbanks tallied 95.
Adeline Fitzwater was the first Panther girl to cross the finish line with a sixth-place effort of 21:05.8. She was followed by Kalor Greve, 13th, 22:16.0; Linsey Eddy, 14th, 22:23.1; Gracie Hubbs, 36th, 24:56.7; Kai Van Dyke, 41st, 25:57.6; Audrey Claar, 42nd, 25:57.6; Annika Parks, 47th, 27:25.4; Leanne Rhoades, 50th, 27:45.5; Ellie Trego, 55th, 30:34.9; Meghan McCaslin, 57th, 31:42.5; and Emma Kugel, 58th, 34:15.8.
The Panther boys finished fifth in their race with 125 points.
Cedarville (42), Greenon (54), West Liberty (67) and Northeastern (124) were the top four teams.
Aidan Groves was the top FHS boy with a 17th-place time of 18:53.1. He was followed by Jo-Jo Reinicker, 29th, 19:35.5; Chris Long, 32nd, 19:52.5; Hunter Lynch, 33rd, 19:52.9; Kyle Craig, 34th, 19:53.9; Ben Macklin, 35th, 20:14.3; Zach Stewart, 41st, 21:07.8; Jacob Nichols, 45th, 21:19.1; Matt Gebhart, 65th, 24:31.2; Anthony Nichols, 66th, 24:53.4; and Alex Stewart, 68th, 29:19.
Triad’s Holly Cole earned first-team honors in the OHC with a fifth-place finish in the conference meet.
She was timed in 20:49.9.
Alea Ferguson earned second-team accolades with her 16th-place clocking of 22:56.3.
Eli O’Brien finished 15th during the boys race in 18:42.1. He earned second-team for the conference.
Zane Robison was 52nd in 21:56.2 and Jacob Warner was 64th in 24:19.
Joe Ferguson of Triad was named all-conference for the middle school boys. He was 14th in 12:52.3.
Raya Helton was 28th and Lilly James placed 30th in the middle school girls meet. Their respective times were 19:36 and 20:10.2.
Fairbanks’ middle school boys were fifth in their OHC race with 126 points. West Liberty claimed the title with 38 points.
Dylan Tobe was tenth in 12:42.8; followed by Caleb Wenger, 16th, 13:01.3; Nathan Parks, 4th, 15:10.1; Garrett Dellinger, 42nd, 15:22.5; and Carter Gerstenberger, 46th, 15:58.7.
Kate Coy of Fairbanks was 11th during the middle school girls race. She was timed in 14:42.4.
She was followed by Lily Demeter, 16th, 15:31.2; Callie Kitchen, 24th, 16:41.6; and Ellie Mayer, 29th, 19.44.6.
