Phelps lands girls hoop job at Mechanicsburg

Lori Phelps has a new coaching job and it’s not very far from home.
Phelps, who spent the past four years as the head girls basketball boss at her alma mater of Fairbanks, has been hired as the ladies coach at neighboring Mechanicsburg High School.
During her stint at Fairbanks, Phelps served as the district’s permanent substitute teacher. However, she was told in early March that the position was being eliminated. For full Story see the June 23rd edition of the Marysville Journal Tribune.
