Demolition of school to begin Monday

An area historical building is nearing the end of its era.
The Leesburg-Magnetic Elementary School building will be demolished at the end of this month, said Rick Smith, North Union Superintendent.
Russ James Contracting of Zanesville, will begin demolition on the building Monday using bulldozers and track hoes. The process is expected to take three weeks to complete.
The building, first known as Magnetic Springs School, was built in 1914 and held elementary and high school classes.
