Marysville office has new postmaster

Jack Wood started as the new Marysville Post Office Posmaster Saturday — taking over a local position that has been functioning slightly rudderless over the past several years.
Wood said different postmasters have come and gone in Marysville, placing the office in a constant state of “flux.”
“I think the employees are looking forward to some stability and some good leadership,” he said. “(The lack of stability) can be hard on everybody. We’ll even things out here shortly.”
Standing in his new brightly colored yellow office Friday afternoon, Wood said he discovered another goal.
“The first thing I’m going to do is paint this office,” he joked.
