Fall college softball tourney moves from North Lewisburg to Marysville

The initial Heart of Ohio College Fall Softball Classic is set to be played at the Union County Joint Recreation Park on Saturday and Sunday.
The tournament began in 1992 as the College Fall Classic and is the oldest college softball tourney in Ohio. It was previously played at the North Lewisburg softball diamonds.     
This year’s field of teams includes members of the American Mideast Conference, the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, the Ohio Athletic Conference, the South Atlantic Conference and the United States Collegiate Athletic Association. These conferences are governed by the NCAA and the NAIA.
The field is composed of Cedarville University, Clark State Community College, Lincoln Memorial University of Harrogate, Tenn., Miami Valley XPress Collegiate Team, Mt. Vernon Nazarene University, Shawnee State University, Tiffin University and Urbana University.
