A fire at the 559 Cafe in North Lewisburg was contained quickly Sunday afternoon by firefighters from the Northeast Champaign County Department. Firefighters noticed smoke coming out of an exhaust vent. The possible cause of the blaze is electrical in nature. The restaurant closed for the day at 3 p.m. and the fire broke out shortly after 4 p.m. The Northeast Champaign department was assisted by Urbana, Mechanicsburg, Allen Township and Union Township departments. No injuries were reported.
