Walkway draws discussion at P.C. council meeting November 10, 2009 at 12:10 pm

A pair of Plain City families were at council Monday to ask council to reconsider a walkway between their properties. Ray and Jodi Garcia went to council to ask council to halt a walkway that would run from Lantern Lane to the back of the planned new elementary school In April, the board approved the purchase of a 16-acre site located on Plain City/Georgesville Road south of the village. Current plans orient the building to face Big Darby Creek and take advantage of the natural asset. Between the back of the school and the back of the homes will be several athletic fields. The Garcias, owners of 290 Lantern Lane, along with their neighbors Oscar and Jeanine Cazares, said they are opposed to a walkway that would allow students in the subdivision to access school property from the rear.
