Hardin County man indicted on local criminal charges November 22, 2009 at 8:46 am

A Hardin County man is facing nearly four decades in prison following a local indictment. Jeffrey L. Lones, 24, of 5429 Route 309, Ada, has pleaded not guilty to two counts of trafficking in heroin, both felonies of the third degree; two counts of money laundering, third-degree felonies; two counts of possession of criminal tools, fifth-degree felonies; one count of tampering with evidence, third-degree felony; and engaging in a pattern of corrupt activities, a felony of the first degree. If convicted on all charges, Lones faces as many as 37 years in prison and $75,000 in fines. The indictments also include a specification that could force him to forfeit $2,499 in cash that prosecutors believe was used during the crimes.
