A pair of unrelated Union County burglars have each been sentenced to three years in a state penitentiary.
Misty Ray Stanley and Robert Miller were each sentenced this week to three years in prison following burglary convictions, Miller’s, a felony of the third degree, Stanley’s, a second degree felony.
Stanley, 28, has “a lengthy juvenile record,” said Assistant Union County Prosecutor Rick Rodger.
Stanley, of 11571 Chickasaw Path in Lakeview, told Union County Common Pleas Court Judge Don Fraser that she has a drug problem since she was a teenager.
“I ask you to take it into your heart and mind to get me some help,” she said to the judge.
A sentencing recommendation, agreed to by both prosecutors and the defendant, called for a three-year prison term to run consecutively to a one-year prison sentence Stanley is serving for burglary out of Logan County.
Stanley asked the judge if he would be willing to run the sentences consecutive.
