Fire destroys Ostrander area home

A Christmas Eve house fire left a Scioto Township family homeless.
According to the Scioto Township Fire Department, crews were called to 3224 Russell Road near Ostrander, Thursday at 9:46 p.m. for a working fire.
Scioto Township fire Lt. Brian Dilley reported this morning that despite a four-minute response time for crews, the two-story home ultimately was a “total loss.”
He said two homeowners and two guests were inside the home at the time the fire began, but they were all able to escape without injuries and then called for help.
