Political sign rules may be changed

In lieu of changes expected at the state level, Marysville political sign codes may end up following suit due to a lack of legal standing.
On Monday evening the Marysville Public Affairs Committee met to discuss changing Section 1143.10, Political Signs, in the city planning and zoning code.
At issue is the current language which states “The community of Marysville prefers that political signs regarding candidates or issues that will appear on the ballot not be posted more than 18 days before the election.”
