Ohio Hi-Point students elect officers, attend Lima meeting October 26, 2009 at 7:07 am

Officers elected are, back row, regional representatives Ashley Bisel and April Harp; historian Roger Skeen; parliamentarian David Williams; and regional representative Shelby Shafer; and front row, treasurer Kelly Kale; president Cody Bell; vice president Ashleigh Grimes; and secretary Alyssia Prickett. –––– Students in Ohio Hi-Point Career Center’s Information Technology, Business Administration Technology and Administrative Office Specialist programs recently attended a regional meeting in Lima. The group also held officer elections for the chapter of the Business Professionals of America (BPA) at the career center. During the regional meeting in Lima, Shelby Shafer, a junior information technology student from West Liberty-Salem High School, was elected to the regional office of secretary. Officers serve region 16, representing Ohio Hi-Point Career Center, Benjamin Logan High School, Millstream Career Center, Apollo Career Center, Vantage Career Center and Lima Senior High School BPA chapters. Students attended the meeting to receive leadership training. Other OHP students attending the meeting included Ashley Bisel, a senior business administration technology student from Triad High School, and April Harp, a senior administrative office specialist student from Kenton High School. The school’s chapter also held officer elections. Students elected to officer positions for the 2009-2010 school year are: President, Cody Bell, a senior information technology student from Bellefontaine High School; vice president, Ashleigh Grimes, a senior business administration technology student from Indian Lake High School; secretary, Alyssa Prickett, a senior business administration technology student from Riverside High School; treasurer, Kelly Kale, a senior business administration technology student from Marysville High School; historian, Roger Skeen, a senior information technology student from Benjamin Logan High School; parliamentarian, David Williams, a senior information technology student from Bellefontaine High School; and regional representatives, Shafer, Bisel and Harp. The Ohio Hi-Point Career Center serves junior and senior students from 14 school districts and offers more than 30 career training programs at the Hi-Point campus and satellite locations.
