In the back are assistant coach John Gore and head coach Larry Morris. –––– Chris Grady shot a medalist round of 79 on Thursday as the Fairbanks High School golf team won the annual Panther Invitational at Darby Creek. Fairbanks took top honors with a 335, followed by Greenon-342, Logan Elm-343, Jonathan Alder-351, Northeastern-354, Jonathan Alder “B”-365, Graham-368, Grandview-370, North Union-375, Madison Plains-389, Triad-391 and Mechanicsburg-421. “The field for this tournament (which is in its sixth year) is always very competitive and this is the first time we’ve won it,” said Panther coach Larry Morris. “It’s exciting to win any invitational but it’s especially so when it’s your own.” Grady was followed in the Panther lineup by Matt Ferryman-82, Nick Koehn-86, Adam Mapes-88, Alec Koehn-90 and Jeremy Noland-91.
