Marysville High School graduate Ashlee Hein is a catcher for the Kent State University softball team. The Lady Golden Flashes will play this weekend in The Ohio State University’s Charity Classic Tournament at Fred Beekman Park on Lane Avenue. Games begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday and will continue through Sunday. The tournament raises money and awareness for breast cancer research. Hein hit 10 home runs and drove in 30 during Kent State’s spring season.
