Triad gridders fall to Southeastern November 02, 2009 at 8:08 am
The 2009 high school football season came to an end for Triad with a 49-21 setback at the hands of Southeastern on Friday. The Trojans scored the game’s first two touchdowns on a seven-yard run by Cody Artis and a 28-yard interception return from Austin Mercer. The Cardinals (3-7) put their first TD on the board in the opening stanza on an eight-yard run by Gregg Reed. Daniel Kaffenbarger kicked the extra point. The Trojans took a 21-7 lead into the second period and tacked on three more TDs before halftime.
