By VIRG RANKIN
The football playoffs begin this weekend for North Union and Jonathan Alder High Schools. North Union will host St. Henry at 7:30 p.m. in the first playoff appearance in the school’s history. After posting a 10-0 record, the Wildcats finished first in Region 20 of Division V. St. Henry, from the powerful MAC, finished eighth with a record of 7-3. NUHS athletic director Tony Rose announced this morning that tickets will go on sale from 8 a.m.-2:45 p.m. from Tuesday through Friday at the high school main office. Fans may also purchase tickets after a community pep rally on Wednesday. The rally will begin at 6 p.m. with a parade of the band, cheerleaders and team from Richwood Park to the front lawn of NUHS. Rose advised that those who purchase tickets in advance at $7 will avoid standing in line on Friday night and save two dollars per ticket as well. In addition, a portion of the price of each ticket sold in advance will be kept by NU, while all revenue from Friday night will go to the OHSAA. Ticket prices and policy are set by the OHSAA.
