At least two things are certain regarding Friday night in Richwood.
The North Union Wildcats will be hosting St. Henry in a Division V regional quarterfinal football game and a record crowd is expected.
Although the NU football team is experiencing a brand new adventure this week, second-year head coach Jesse Miller is doing his best to maintain the routine that the Wildcats have followed every week since late August.
While the student body and the entire community is building an unprecedented level of excitement for NU’s first appearance in the playoffs, Miller will guide his team along a path of familiarity.
“We’ll approach this week just like we have every game all year long,” he said. “We’ll concentrate on the things that are under our control, practice hard and try to make sure we’re doing things right all week.”
Miller said the atmosphere on Friday will be like none of the 10 regular season games. The trick is to soak it in without losing focus on the task at hand.
