Several of our local horsemen won honors at the Western Ohio Colt Racing Association banquet on Sunday evening. Show Me Glory won the 2-year-old colt pace for owners Jason Soloman and Mark Nolan. The breeder was Tim Lane of Marysville. I Look Dynamic, owned by Eric Mannasmith of Richwood and trained by Don Pfister, took home the honors of 2-year-old filly trot. Don Pfister also won a driving award for 2-year-old filly trot. Trainer Herb LeVan won the 3-year-old colt pace and the 3-year-old filly trot with Mr. Shady and Sweet Loretta. Melissa LeVan is the owner on Mr. Shady and Jerry Lyon owns Sweet Loretta. Roy Burns of Milford Center won the driving honors for 3-year-old filly trot.
Won The West won the $200,000 American National for aged pacers at Balmoral Park in Chicago, Illinois.  Favorite Shark Gesture made a break before the start and was never in contention. Mister Big went to the top and cut the mile. Won The West got away fourth and driver Dave Palone pulled him at the half where he inched up on Mister Big.
