Monarchs will pay tribute to late Pacers head coach

There is always excitement and anticipation when a new sports season is set to begin.
There will, however, be a moment of solemn remembrance on Friday when the Marysville High School boys basketball team hosts Delaware Hayes.
Shortly before the beginning of the varsity’s season-opener, a moment of silence will be observed in memory of the late Larry Eberst.
Described as a friend to many coaches in the Central District, Eberst guided the Pacers’ hoop fortunes for a number of years.
He was, however, killed on July 14 when his experimental aircraft crashed in Knox County near Centerburg.
