Overdose blamed in death of woman, 21
According to Union County Sheriff’s Office reports:
Deputies and units from the Allen Township Fire Department and Liberty Township Fire Department responded to a residence in the 21000 block of Shirk Road for an unresponsive 21-year-old female Wednesday at 2:31 p.m. The Union County Coroner was called to the scene and the person was pronounced dead. According to Union County Coroner David Applegate, the preliminary ruling is a drug overdose. More information will be available after an autopsy is performed.
A deputy responded to the 14000 block of Miller Road to investigate a property damage crash involving a 2012 Dodge Ram truck that struck a deer Wednesday at 3:20 a.m.
A deputy investigated a property damage crash that occurred on Middleburg Plain City Road near Unionville Center involving a 2013 Chevrolet Avalanche that struck a deer Wednesday at 5:19 a.m.
A deputy responded to the 7700 block of U.S. 42 to investigate a property damage crash involving a 2007 Honda CRV that struck the back of a 2001 Toyota Rav4 Wednesday at 8:49 a.m. The driver of the Honda, Kimberlee L. Elliott, 22, of Plain City, was issued a traffic citation for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.
A deputy investigated the unauthorized use of a 1994 Honda Accord that was taken from a residence in the 23000 block of Holycross Epps Road Wednesday at 4:20 p.m.
A deputy responded to the 29000 block of Hoover Moffitt Road to investigate a property damage crash involving a 2001 Chevrolet Malibu that struck a deer Wednesday at 5:19 p.m.
Deputies and units from the Northern Union County Fire and EMS District responded to Sandusky Road, north of Bethlehem Claibourne Road, to investigate an injury crash involving a 1998 Honda CR-V that lost control, drove into a ditch, then into a field before rolling onto its side Wednesday at 5:45 p.m. The juvenile driver of the vehicle was issued a traffic citation for failure to stop for a stop sign.
A deputy met with a Hilliard Police Officer to take custody of Tyson R. Smith, 21 of Hilliard, for an outstanding arrest warrant Wednesday at 7:47 p.m. He was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.

A resident of Trophy Drive reported damage to a garage Wednesday at 7:18 a.m.
A resident of Pinehurst Street reported a theft Wednesday at 4:31 p.m.
An employee of a business on Colemans Crossing Boulevard reported a theft Wednesday at 4:33 p.m.
A resident of Butternut Drive reported a theft Wednesday at 5:09 p.m.
