This week, many of my national colleagues are spending their time in the splendor of Las Vegas, at the annual Consumer Electronics Show. Known as ultimate gadget display every year, companies will line up to announce their latest technologies that we need to purchase right now. Even as I write this column, I’m listening to one of those presentations, where an overexcited chief executive tells me all about his company and why I should buy into it.
