With the high school boys basketball regular season coming to a close, it is the time to start thinking about the upcoming Ohio High School Athletic Association state tournament.
Sunday was the day when schools across the state found out where they fell in their seeding bracket and who they will be facing in the weeks to come.
Locally, the third-ranked Triad Cardinals will kick off the action in the Division IV Southwest District when they take on fifth-ranked Fairlawn at Piqua High School
That game will be played on Friday, Feb. 23 at 8:30 p.m.
The 36th-ranked Marysville Monarchs will travel to Westerville to take on the eighth-ranked Westerville South Wildcats on Saturday, Feb. 24.
That Central District game will tip off at 1 p.m.
Both North Union and Fairbanks will play on Monday, Feb. 26 at 7 p.m. in Division III.
The 16th-ranked Wildcats will travel to sixth-ranked Columbus Academy and the 17th-ranked Panthers will travel to seventh-ranked Grandview Heights.
Jonathan Alder earned a sixth seed in Division II and received a first-round bye.
The Pioneers will host the winner of the 11th- ranked Linden McKinley vs. 13th-ranked St. Francis DeSales game.
JA will host that winner on Saturday, March 3 at 1 p.m.
