Marysville Police officers investigate the site of a robbery that occurred this morning at the corner of East Fifth and Plum streets. A white male wearing a red jacket and orange mask reportedly robbed two victims, taking their wallets and other items.

Marysville Police are investigating a robbery that took place today at about 6:39 a.m. near the corner of East Fifth and Plum streets.
According to a press release from police officials, two victims said a man brandishing a handgun approached them. The suspect demanded their wallets. The suspect then fled to an unknown location with the pair’s wallets and “other property.”
According to Deputy Police Chief Tony Brooks, authorities have yet to identify the other property included in the release. He said it was likely the “contents of their pockets.”
“(Police are) still working on it,” he said.
The release describes the suspect at a white male, 6’1 and about 190 pounds. He was reportedly wearing a red coat and orange mask, and was possibly in his early thirties.
According to the release, residents with any helpful information can contact the police at 937-645-7300.
