Union County Sheriff’s Office deputies are looking for a woman after she allegedly assaulted her daughter and killed her pet kitten during an argument this week.
According to an email from the Union County Sheriff’s Office, a report came in on at about 1:16 p.m Monday in the 14000 block of Price Mather Road of a dispute between a mother, Megan M. Rasey, 39, of Green Camp, and an 18-year-old daughter.
During the fight, the mother allegedly threw a two-week-old kitten against the wall, breaking its neck and killing it. That was after she had assaulted the daughter.
“She had already left the scene when we arrived,” said Chief Deputy Tom Morgan in a phone call.
After further investigation, deputies charged Rasey with domestic violence and cruelty to animals. Arrest warrants were issued for Rasey.
“They are working this morning to find her in Marion,” Morgan said.
