Two school boards in the county will be changing a few of their council members, according to unofficial election results from the Union County Board of Elections.
For the Fairbanks board of education, Angie Bouic, Derek Nicol and Brian Phelps scored the highest number of votes in the election.
According to the unofficial results from Union County, for Fairbanks, Tim Belmonte earned 487 votes, incumbent David Huber got 667 votes, Bouic received 849 votes, Phelps earned 980 votes and Nicol got 997 votes. According to unofficial results from the Madison County Board of Elections, Belmonte earned 23 votes, Huber got 43 votes, Bouic received 52 votes, Phelps earned 63 votes and Nicol got 60 votes, totaling 3,980 votes.
Meanwhile, for North Union board of education, Brian Davis and incumbents Dennis Hall and Jean Wedding achieved the highest number of votes in the election.
According to unofficial results from Union County, Shannon Jenkins-Bugg received 725 votes, Dennis Hall got 814 votes, Brian Davis earned 870 votes and Jean Wedding got 984 votes, totaling 3,393 votes.
According to the unofficial results from Union County, for the Marysville election, Brian Luke received 3,049 votes, Nan Savidge earned 2,842 votes and Dick Smith netted 3,231 votes, totaling 9,122 votes.
For other school districts, the races weren’t as contested, leaving all of those who ran to win their respective races. Other school district races include:
-Buckeye Valley: Justin Osborn and Randy Turner.
-Dublin: Stu Harris, Lynn May and Rick Weininger.
-Hilliard: Mark Abate, Paul Lambert and Lisa Whiting.
-Jonathan Alder: Mary Jo Boyd.
-Triad: April Freville, Michael Perry and Matthew McConnell.
