Students at Fairbanks schools, from various grades, have access to Chromebooks through the one-to-one program. Students in the third, fourth and fifth grades, as well as high school freshmen, are given touchscreen laptops, in protective cases, that can fold over into tablet form. The program will expand in the 2017-18 school year to include second and sixth graders, as well as sophomores. Fairbanks students pictured above using the laptops are, in the beanbag chair, Trey Good, and in desks, from front to back, Julia Cheney, Wyatt Miller, Bryce Bosworth and Logan Stice.
