Editor’s note: The following announcement about the Marysville Library’s Author Series is submitted by board member Florence Allen.

The Friends of the Marysville Public Library will kick off its Author Series on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Auditorium with local author, Kristen Lepionka.
Lepionka, who has given book talks nationwide, will discuss her most debut novel, The Last Place You Look, a mystery set in Columbus. Her research for the book included multiple police ride-alongs and a lockpicking class. She also hiked inside an Iceland volcano in order to develop the story for her book.
The reviews praise her sensitive character development and the heart-stopping thrills. She has been reviewed by both Library Journal and Booklist.
In its 13th year, the author series will also include young adult suspense author Jody Casella on Feb. 20. On March 27, Bill Shkurti will talk about how he likes to write about the supernatural. Leah Stewart will be the last featured author on April 24.
Tickets for individual presentations in the Author Series, as well as series tickets, are available at the library or at the door.
The proceeds from the Author Series are added to the Friends of the Library Endowment Fund and are used to help support the needs of the Marysville Public Library.
