Local communities will celebrate Independence Day on Tuesday with fireworks and other festivities. Here are the activities happening in the area on July 4:
-A Fourth of July Parade will start at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Marysville. It will start on East Fifth Street and end near the courthouse parking lot. A fireworks display will start at dusk.
-A parade at 3 p.m. will kick off festivities in Plain City. Pastime Park will have vendors, games and entertainment until the fireworks at 9:45 p.m.
-Fourth of July in Prospect will begin with the Big Bang 5k Run and Walk at 9:30 a.m. at Prospect Community Park. There will be food and entertainment at the park until the fireworks display at dusk.
