Several thefts from vehicles were reported to have occured Sunday morning.
From 5:59 a.m. to 10:10 a.m., there were four vehicle thefts committed Sunday, according to the Marysville Police Department. The incidents occurred in Marysville and included Woodline Drive, Meadows Drive, Adena Pointe Drive and Fernwood Court.
Three of the cars broken into were left unlocked, while only one had its window broken into.
“Lock your vehicles,” said Marysville deputy chief Tony Brooks. “There’s not a better deterrent (to theft) than locking your motor vehicles.”
Brooks said there was a rash of vehicle break-ins in the past and the biggest deterrent for thieves in those situations were cars being locked and items not left visible in a car.
“The second best deterrent would be to not leave any items (of value) in plain sight,” Brooks said.
From among three of the vehicles, items that were stolen included cash, credit and debit cards, personal documents and tools.
From one car, weapons, cash, personal papers, camping equipment, clothing, firearm accessories were stolen.
