Shortly after 4 p.m. Tuesday, near the intersection of Bethlehem Claibourne Road and Route 37, a red 1998 Ford Explorer, pictured above, rolled onto its top in a ditch after the driver failed to negotiate a curve. Three injured persons were taken to Memorial Hospital, two by paramedics and one by a private vehicle. At press time, the Union County Sheriff’s Office report of the crash did not name the driver or those injured. That section of Route 37 remained closed until shortly after 5 p.m.
